Recent Review: Norb's crew of three were fast, pleasant, and professional. The quality of work was top-notch, they even built curving steps and railing off the front deck to line up with the front path. The new porch roof went up quickly, with all three plus Norb working on it. Nice tin roof on top. They cleaned up completely after themselves. They haven't yet started on the skylight, but when I realized that I needed to have that replaced, I immediately called Norb. He is honest, gives a good estimate, doesn't creep over it, and he insists that things been done perfectly. (He's looked at a few things around the house and expressed displeasure at the way things were done by a previous contractor.) Norb is also just a really nice person. I will always contact him first when something needs to be done.

Recent Review: After buying a 100 year old farmhouse, that looked as though it hadn't been maintained for the last 25 years, the search was on for a contractor to do a complete renovation. After interviewing many local contractors and ultimately hiring one to do the roof and siding, I realized that I would have to expand my search if I was going to find someone up to my standards, to replace the windows and completely renovate the interior.  Since my timeline wasn't critical, someone highly recommended and suggested I contact Jim Morisco of J Morisco Contracting Corp Inc to see if he would be willing to travel and do the renovations in blocks of time, as his schedule would allow.  Lucky for me, when I first contacted Jim, he had just completed one job and was waiting on materials for his next job.  We met at the farmhouse to discuss in detail what I wanted done, as well as pricing. We prepared a priority list of how the renovations would go, starting with the first floor bedroom, bath, and laundry, and eventually ending with the kitchen.  The goal was to complete the renovations in fewer than two years, while working on a part time basis. Being a perfectionist, unless it was absolutely necessary to have help, I only wanted Jim doing the work, since it was obvious he was also a perfectionist.  He did have help on occasions, but they too met his high standards. To accurately describe the end results of this renovation would be hard to do without it sounding much exaggerated, so luckily this site allows the inclusion of photos.  I took numerous photos of the renovations from beginning to end and will hopefully be able to attach at least three collages I created, one of the kitchen, one of the master bath, and one of the bath/laundry. Those images will easily speak for themselves.  In addition to those renovations, Jim installed 44 new construction windows complete with all new interior moldings, renovated an office, three bedrooms, two tin ceilings, a staircase using the original handrail, and the front porch. He also did structural work in the basement and attic. I could not be happier with the level of professionalism, pleasant demeanor, and the extremely high quality of work performed. I doubt I will ever be doing another total renovation, but if I do, or any part thereof, I will be sure to be calling Jim back to see if he is available!

Recent Review: I needed a new deck because the old wooden wood was in poor shape after about 20 years of use. I hired Corteville Constructions to do it because owner Gary Corteville did a wonderful job installing windows and storm doors for me. The deck looks great.

The job that was completed was not the job we were looking for. He put up dented posts on our porch, refusing to exchange them for undamaged materials. He also put mismatched porch railings up, hoping that we wouldn't notice. The lattice he put around the porch all fell down the next summer, and yet, the worst of the job he did was the painting. His work was sloppy to begin with, with a ton of dripping from the white handrails onto the blue porch flooring. I understand a few drops here or there, but it was nearly a line around the edge of the porch. He also decided to paint on one of the most humid days of of the summer, and the paint bubbled, cracked, and peeled a month later. Norb refused to address the other issues with his workmanship, but he did decided to repaint the areas that had bubbled and cracked paint. His version of fixing this was to scrape up the old paint in the bubbled patches, and to put a single coat of the blue paint down, with out a coat of primer underneath. The result is that we had very obvious light blue patches (about 3 feet across in 3 different spots) on the dark blue porch. We ended up having to repaint ourselves, and address the other cosmetic issues ourselves. Pros: The porch is solidly built and seems to be crafted well at the foundation. Other than the lattice, it has held together well over 2 summers and winters. Cons: If you want your job to look nice in addition to being functional, Norb is not your guy. The cosmetic workmanship is seriously shoddy, and all we got from him were empty promises on addressing the issues. I understand some small problems coming up, but using damaged materials instead of returning them, painting sloppily enough that it has to be redone (even the parts he supposedly "fixed"), and refusing to stand behind his own work is not ok. We could have hired some college students and had a better outcome.

All the jobs went smoothly. We had to trust him because we were not there for much of the work and communicated by text, phone and email. He made sure that he understood what we wanted and when I sent him photos he was quick to communicate and offer good suggestions. The only delays were due to weather which can't be helped. We highly recommend Joe Payne to do any kind of contracting work as he is creative and hard working and appears to be a man of integrity.

Abysmal. The deck staining looked like a child did it. It was full of brush marks, missed areas/entirely unstained areas, swirls, running drips, splotchy patches and spills, and black ink from new wood showing through. As soon as I was able to walk on it and see the atrocity I contacted the owner/president of the company. He said, "I'll send my guy over.". Then, nothing, and when I reached him a week later he argued that nothing was wrong, and nothing was done. When a different subcontractor came to start the patio/concrete project, I happened to be there and happened to see a guy that looked familiar. I showed him the numerous problems. Then the SAME subcontractor who did the original horrendous job shows up and hurriedly slapped on another coat of stain. When I showed him obvious areas he had missed again, he said, "I'm out of stain.". I stared at him, speechless, until he said he would try to mix the last drops of stain from all of the used cans and sloshed it onto those areas. It looks Horrendous. The concrete patio seems to have been done well, except that this second subcontractor crew left a huge slab of concrete and 3 large piles of crushed stone on my property (as well as plastic cups and empty concrete bags). I asked the company to remove the concrete and waited all summer. It wasn't until three months later that the concrete was removed, and that was on the day he received notice of my dispute of the charges. They also left behind chunks of wood from the concrete framing, and the string line from that framing that I did not find until it tangled up my lawnmower. Horrible company, horrendous work, no ethics.

AHome Repair Co
We are a military family that moved and still had our house on the market. Since we were not in the area it was extremely hard to trust anyone with making repairs on our house and have them done to our standards. From day one when I called the owner I talked directly to him and he made me feel comfortable having them do the repairs. Since we were in a hurry to have these repairs done because of the closing date on our house, the owner sent 2 of his men to start working the next day and they completed the repairs I had listed within 48 hours. This company did not throw a huge estimate at me or charge me extra to have it done fast, instead he charged by man hours and by actual cost of material. He not only did the repairs fast, but did the work right. They sent me before and after photos and I am very happy with the job that they did and have recommended him to all of our friends still in Clarksville. They are extremely knowledgeable, and trustworthy.

He had excuse after excuse of why he was showing. His son in car accident he was in car accident. When he did come only worked a total of 2 to 2 and ahalf hours a day. He put pressure treated wood stamp side up now staining wood will be a nightmare to cover stamp stair rails coming out. Screws so dip dirt and water will collect. Paid him over90% of job up front and he hasn't showed back up and took our money with job half done. In my book that is stealing. He says he was a navy seal no way they r proud and honest. We have found out we aren't only people taken thru social media he takes people's money and never shows back up. We sent paper work to attorney general and went to sheriff and attorney. We have asked for a share of our money back no response. We r banding together and getting this guy. We installed at a big expense cameras on property and alarm system to our property as he can't be trusted. Have a family member coming to stay here when we aren't here to watch over property as r neighbors and guys that work at high school who have seen his actions. Stay away from away from this guy. Save ur money unlike us and others who contacted us off and review I posted. We will get this guy from taking others.

It has been one of the most frustrating experiences. It took him 7 months to complete the work. He would work one day, then not show up for a week. Sometimes he worked a full day and sometimes he would come for a couple hours. He does not pay attention to detail, rough work. We're in the process of going to court as he never did put the insulation under the vinyl siding. We had hail storm in May that put new holes in my vinyl siding; thus, that's when we realized he lied and never put in insulation. I have had some other contractors out to take a look at it. In some areas, he did put something called leveling board behind the siding. No matter what, this board is not insulation. In addition to that, I asked him to put in a fan in my living room. He did, but now my ceiling lights are not working. He also did a small porch for me. He was supposed to come back and finish that, but never did. There are some scratches on the vinyl railing that he said he would come back to fix, but again, he has not. It's been a year and a half and I just feel he took advantage of me.
