Recent Review: Very happy that we chose Eric from Capital District Electric through Angie's list. After calling 3 other electricians in our local area that either did not return calls, or show up, Eric responded within hours, and we had an appointment scheduled within a week. Work was done as promised on time and within budget! Once I decide on some new fixtures, we will be calling Capital District Electric again. Thank you!

Recent Review: He was good. He came and did his job. He did everything quickly. He did everything what I wanted and more for the price he said. His price was excellent because it was a lot cheaper than I thought it was.

Recent Review: My call was returned promptly. I described the job over the phone and, as expected, it was decided he would charge time and materials. Based on the conversation and the fact that it was a small job, I scheduled him to do the work. He gave me a $65/hour quote for his time which sounded very reasonable, but then he vaguely suggested something about charging for a helper if necessary. That's where I should have asked more questions. In the end I was charged an additional $37/hour for the helper, which brought the total charge to $102/hour. An unhappy surprise. He started a day early, which was fine. He did some nice problem solving and thoughtfully executed the work. There was some disregard to the finished flooring in the bedroom where he was sliding his tools around, but in his defense the area looked like a construction zone. Overall, it was a clean, professional job and I was very happy with the finished product.

Recent Review: They were excellent. Dug the foundation, set the cinder blocks, poured the concrete. Built it up from there. Put on the 10x12 addition with 3 windows, 8 electrical outlets, Pergo floor, painting and finishing molding. The owner as well as every one of the crew were respectful and dedicated to doing the job 100%. Even the siding matches! They put up new rain gutters and a new roof over the addition as well. They will come back once the ground thaws after winter to do the landscaping which was included in the price.  We will have them back next year to do some remodeling in the house. Absolutely wonderful experience. If you want a quality construction firm, this is it!!!

Recent Review: the initial period of remodeling went well, although as the jobs progressed, the amount of work that was accomplished seemed less and less.  simply i had developed a rapport with the crew, i felt that they were doing the best they could do for me.  during the last segment of remodeling, i noticed numerous issues with craftsmanship.  when i brought this to their attention, raymond, the owner, would get defensive and angry, dismissing my complains by telling me that, they would, "take care of the problem".   part of the problem was that i trusted them.  i would give them jobs to do, after discussing the project with them extensively, and then leave for up to a week at a time for work.  during the last several months of their employment with me, i became increasingly more frustrated with the lack of craftsmanship and outright sloppiness of the work.  numerous examples abound, like door threshold that were cracked upon installation, electrical outlets that weren't flush with the sheet rock, windows that were installed and not calked--later resulting in water damage to the window and trim, and trim work that was simply, sloppy.  i called raymond three times, asking him to please come back and finish the job.  i never received a call back.

They were great and super communicative. They got the job completed quickly and the deck turned out beautifully. Exactly what I wanted. Also trouble shot an electrical outlet that I could not figure out and painted a closet. I'm having them continue with more jobs and recommended them to friends!

The gentleman was very professional and extremely punctual. His experience was quite evident in how quickly he performed the work exactly as I wanted. He was tidy cleaning up the mess after. I have had electricians before that were arrogant and left a huge mess for me to clean. I am having this gentleman come back next month to put in circuit breakers instead of the fuses I have.

AHoldridge Electric LLC
Mr. Mike Holdridge was very professional and did extra work out of concern my elderly mom.  He even noticed holes in my mom’s roof while on the electric pole and had it patched for her.  He completed all work week ahead of schedule.  He did extra work, not is original estimate and did not charge extra.  He took pictures of damage to roof before patching it.  I was extremely pleased and will use this company for all future electrical needs.
