Recent Review: The estimate was slightly below other providers. They did use three unused boxes of the same flooring that was left in the basement from the builder. Schenectady Floor Covering was able to match the existing hardwood floor exactly. The crew was polite and worked throughout the day with an hour break for lunch. The installation went great and the job was done in a day and a half. It would have been nice for them to use a cloth broom instead of a push broom because the dust was everywhere when they finished. There was a slight oversight on my part with moving furniture but the consultant worked with us to minimize a charge above the quoted estimate. We are very happy with our new floors.
Recent Review: Beautiful product, good prices. Only issue was a delay in shipping of several weeks due to inventory. This delay caused issues with scheduling on a whole-house renovation and it would have been quite useful to know about upfront, rather than having to call them repeatedly for updates. When the flooring finally arrived, weeks late, it was beautiful and in very good shape. I would use them again, but I would order much earlier than needed to allow for any delays.
Recent Review: We just bought the house and before we moved in we had him come by and he wasn't sure if he could complete the floors in a week. He took the job and completed it on time and the floors have been good ever since. During the move, I gouged one of the floors so I called him and he brought his supplies and fixed it without a charge. He was very friendly.
Recent Review: Perfect. Amazing. Beautiful. Steve was very professional, punctual, and responsive. We called to see if he could work with us and he set up an appointment to meet with us ASAP. We got an estimate and he started quickly. Our house was empty, therefore ideal for him to work. He kept us up to date on the status and when we'd expect him to be done. The finished product was amazing. Everyone who has seen our floors said they look brand new and beautiful.

The quality of Jason's work is good, I have no complaints there. His scheduling was a bit haphazard and the job took quite a bit longer than anticipated which threw off the schedule for the whole renovation, but again, that's not my issue. My chief complaint is that he refuses to give me a receipt for the work provided. After making the final payment he has become completely unresponsive to my attempts to get in touch. All I really want is a slip of paper saying that he did the work, charged me and was paid. This is the simplest most basic principle of business and he has acted completely unprofessionally about it. I am utterly confused by him. As a contractor, my company has hired Jason on multiple other projects and I had no reservations hiring him to work on my home. Now however he has lost my confidence and my business. Jason, if you read this know that I am claiming the work you did as a deduction on my apartment with or without a receipt. If the IRS asks about it I'll be directing them to you.

CJohnson Flooring Installations
I will say Jason did an good job on the actual installation of the flooring itself. However he was very challenging to work with and the overall process took much more time than we were originally quoted. To be honest he was so frustrating to work with (and we are very laid back people) that we just gave up on trying to get the final piece of the flooring finished. He was never punctual and often took days to return phone calls. He would leave at the end of the day promising to return at a certain hour the following morning and then would not show up or call. After repeated phone calls and messages he would finally return calls hours and hours later and then show up again hours after his new promised time of arrival. As you can imagine as a homeowner it is very frustrating to adjust ones schedule to be home and available at a certain time only to have no one show up. On the bright side, he was careful to plan his approach and waste minimal materials. He worked carefully around the cabinetry that was new. He went at the project with gusto on the first day of work but as time went on he became less and less reliable and more and more disinterested in completing the project. This was particularly true when he was nearing the end of the project and it was time to complete the finishing details like thresholds and shoe moldings. Days turned into weeks and he was no where to be found and refused to return calls. It became so challenging to get in touch with him so the project could be completed that we finally had to ask our contractor to take matters into his own hands. Jason promised to drop off the final unfinished wood threshold with us, which we planed to install on our own after the kitchen project was finished. We just wanted to have the final pieces in our hands so we could complete them ourselves and would no longer have to wait on Jason. No surprise to us, he never did drop off the threshold or contact us about it so we were left with an unfinished gap between our kitchen and family room. To conclude, the process was incredibly frustrating and I would never hire Johnson Flooring again nor would I recommend them to others.

ADynamic Kitchens & Baths
Rob Porter and his brother, Bill were highly professional and committed to the whole project. The detail and attention to the creation of our full bathroom which included, the tiling of entire bathroom floor and large shower/wall produced a breath-taking final product which I absolutely love. The completed wet bar is gorgeous and is HGTV magazine quality. Rob and Bill want you to be happy with the results and take pride in their work which is hard to find. My husband and I are truly happy with the results of the whole project and the way Rob managed it. This project started the end of January and was completed on April 12. I can honestly say, we will miss working with Rob and Bill and would highly recommend this company. In fact, I had just added a small project (tiling the backsplash of bar) which they will complete the week of April 15. We were very happy with all these recommendations and the project managing of the subcontractors. The results of the work performed on the entire remodeling basement project is beyond our expectations and I know we will enjoy our basement for years to come.

The service was a Triple A work, he makes miracle, most of the contractors doesn't refurbish floors the way he does. and he fixed buckled floor and matched new flooring with the old ones. He has integrity and a trustworthy person, you can give him the key to a house and not worry about anything.

ARemake Remodeling Co.
Great job! There were a couple of layers of kitchen flooring and he made it work in a very old 100 year old Schenectady house. He Installed vinyl flooring planks and a thin underlayment underneath the planks that I purchased from Lowe’s. He did a great job and it looks beautiful.

ATOM'S FLOOR COVERING
We needed a new floor for the kitchen. The existing floor was 25 years old and badly in need of repair or replacement. I ordered the flooring from Tom and had him install it. It was initially suppose to go over the existing floor, but Tom ended up pulling up all the old Congoleum and scraping the sub-flooring to get it smooth enough for the new Mannington product. He and his helper did an absolutely perfect job. I would recommend him to anyone.
