Recent Review: Eric is thorough and knowledgeable. He takes the time to explain the systems and any issues. He also handles solar so can cover a lot of bases. I'd definitely recommend him.

Recent Review: They were excellent. This was the first time we had used their services. Everything went very smoothly. They were very responsive, showed up on time, and cleaned up after. They only surprise was the amount of earth moving that was done in the yard was much more devastating than we had expected.

Recent Review: IOverall satisfied with their work however because this was a complicated project it took longer to complete than estimated-roughly 6 weeks start to finish.  The grading of the well field left something to be desired-large rocks were left on the surface and will have to be moved and the site regraded this coming spring and there was an issue with the initial start up of the system not providing hot water to an attached apartment- that issue was resolved after a 5 day wait which inconvenienced an elderly family member. This would be the only major complaint. Chris ( senior tech) and Tom ( owner) did personally address the issue and had it fixed within 4 hours of working on site.  Steve Zazzera was easy to work with and patient over the one year bidding process- he was quick to return phone calls and address concerns even during off hours and weekends.  I will update my experience with this system and service at the end of the winter heating season. Overall I would highly recommend T E Spall and Sons whether it would be for new installation or servicing of an existing HVAC system. SO far, tech support from Chris has been outstanding

Recent Review: Excellent work. Capital did some major system renovations last year and I have been dealing with a balky heat pump which was replaced under warranty last year by Capital. This heat pump was NOT installed by Capital but they supported me and worked very diligently with a reticent manufacturer to make the replacement. This year I was having problems with an expansion valve in the heat pump which caused multiple heat system failures. Capital again worked very h****** my behalf to figure out a subtle and complex problem. They also replaced the expansion valve at their expense in labor and parts in order to stand by their work with the replacement heat pump. In my opinion the cost of replacing the valve and the labor should have been covered by the manufacturer of the heat pump- Heat Controller Inc. Unlike Capital though Heat Controller gave all kinds of misleading diagnostic information and wasted a lot of time as well as days without heat on my part. They have not offered to pay for anything at this point. In conclusion I would highly recommend Capital for geothermal heating they know and understand this complicated technology and are well qualified to service it.

Recent Review: All things went well. There is one technician with a very good memory and remembered a leak we had a couple years prior on a pipe from the boiler that we forgot all about.

Recent Review: The system is based on a Hydron Module providing forced air heating and cooling as well as a hot water pre-heater. The owner (Jesse Cooks) personally looked after all details of the system installation and activation. The company did an outstanding job at a very competitive price and I would highly recommend them to anyone interested in installing this "green -energy" technology in their home.

ATE Spall & Son Heating & Cooling
We wanted to get off of fossil fuels for our 110 year old Victorian house.  We had completely gutted and remodeled it, so we wanted to hire someone who would respect all the work we did, the house has become our baby.    The job was going to be big, take time, be expensive and could be very dirty.  We didn't have the duct work or infrastructure so everything we did had to be new. We met with six different geothermal contractors.  We got proposals from four of them, still waiting for the other two proposals.   We narrowed it down from the four proposals based on price, professionalism and our gut feeling about the estimator. We decided to go with T. E. Spall after going to their offices and walking around their facilities.   Several things impressed us:   Owning their own drilling truck.  It's very expensive to buy and maintain - it signaled to us they're busy and must do a lot of installs.   The owner Tom, was very professional, answered all our questions, government rebates everything we could think of all on a Saturday when he wasn't planning on coming into the office. The estimator, Steve also very professional, was well dressed, very professional and didn't try adding extras on - in fact, he suggested we live with the system first and then add things on as we need them. Their quote wasn't the least expensive, but it was the most comprehensive and we assumed would be the one with the least surprises.  We were right.  There wasn't anything additional we had to pay for in the installation. The first day they started work, the owner was there to make sure every thing ran smoothly and answer any questions we had.  They did damage the driveway and part of our flagstone patio - because the drilling rig was so heavy - but they fixed it right away without any hassle.  They got the well drilling done quickly and relatively cleanly. Inside the house the majority of the work was fabricating the duct work.  Their fabricators were very clean, conscientious and considerate of our home.  Was there dirt? Yes, but they tried to keep it down to a minimum.  Considering the major work we had done, they were the cleanest contractors we've ever had. Their guys showed up everyday and worked hard everyday.  Unlike some contractors we've had, these guys were on a mission and they were very respectful to us. We had two zones installed.  The basement was easy to get all the equipment into and as expected there wasn't any damage to anything, which is really never a given.  The second zone was all installed on the third floor with new duct work.  They didn't scratch any of the walls or wood work.  There were a few scratches on the floor, but I consider that regular wear and tear.  Considering the amount of equipment they installed, it's really impressive nothing else got damaged. Our cautiousness and selectiveness paid off.  The job was to take about 5 weeks and they were completely done in 5 1/2 weeks.  The air conditioning is working amazingly well and the woodwork doesn't swell anymore.  I'll report back on the heating part this winter.  T.E. Spall give us one free year of servicing the system, which is great.  I'm confident their service will be just as good as their installation. We highly recommend T.E. Spall, they've got us as lifelong customers now.

FACCUAIRE HEATING & COOLING
He was thrown off the job after damaging my house attempting to install the heating and cooling system, and trying to charge me extra for getting the system up and running. He couldn't get it going so he said it was a warranty issue  and it would cost extra even though he never got it running in the first place. Stay away from him. I took him to court and he doesn't have insurance to cover all the damage he did. I had to get another contractor to remove all the work/damage that Accuaire did.

AHalco
It was an great experience.   We have had Halco service our geothermal unit in the past and they are always prompt, professional and knowledgeable in the work they complete.   When I called Halco, the service representative worked with my schedule to arrange an appointment for the service technician to be at our home on a specific day and approximate time.  The service call appointment is also based urgency of the problem.   On the day of the service call, the service technician called our home about 30 minutes before the scheduled appointment to let us know that he was on his way.  When the service technician arrived he was friendly, courteous and polite.  And, my wife was really impressed that he had "booties"  to put over his work boots so he wouldn't track dirt into our house. We quickly realized that he had the experience and education to evaluate the problem.  He readily, and in plain language, explained the reason for the unit not working and answered all my questions.  During his entire visit it was obvious that he really enjoyed his work and that he really enjoyed working with his customers. After the repair, the service technician explained steps we could take in order to prevent the same problem from occurring.  In addition, he made suggestions for making the geothermal unit run more efficiently.  He also cleaned the work area of all debris before leaving.  The repair took about 2 hours.  Everything worked as expected.  A great job! The cost was what we expected, no great surprises. Halco is definitely a customer friendly company!

Workers arrived on time, had nearly everything they needed and let no grass grow under their feet as they worked.  They were pleasant and easy to work with.  Explained what they were doing as necessary.   I would have appreciated knowing in advance how much the appraisal visit was going to cost but you do what you gotta do.
