Recent Review: Wayne Jeffers, Jr. from Barrier came to our home to discuss the work we wanted done and gave us a price quote. We also got 2 other price quotes. We selected Barrier for the job because their pricing was competitive and we liked the way they answered our questions and concerns. The work began on 8/28/12, when arriving at 8:30am, the crew worked ten hours that first day installing our new garage tank, hooking it up to the furnace, transferring usable oil from the old tank to the new one, and then physically removing and cutting up the old tank using the "hand dig" option we had selected. Having detected a small but definite amount of leakage from the old tank, remediation was necessary and they spent two more days (8/29 and 8/30) carefully digging out soil from the old tank area and isolating soil samples for the necessary lab testing. After it was determined that they had reached apparently "clean soil" and Barrier had received lab confirmation of that fact, the old tank parts were hauled away. A dumpster was brought in to take away the oil contaminated soil after Barrier had neatly filled the site where they had dug out the old tank with clean soil. Until these last steps were done, the two piles of soil (contaminated and good) were completely covered with plastic tarps to contain the soil and the excavation site was also covered. Ultimately Barrier prepared a "closure report" that was filed with the necessary state and local government offices and submitted to us in duplicate for our own purposes. We had good communication with Barrier throughout the process, and we were pleased with the quality, professionalism and pleasant courtesy that was consistent from start to finish. We wanted to replace the old foundation plantings along the front of the house, though Barrier would have put back the ones they removed to get at the oil tank, and Mr. Jeffers recommended a landscaper whom we did use and were delighted with the results. We are very happy to recommend Barrier to anyone needing similar work done at their home. SMH and WCH, Briarcliff Manor, NY

It didn’t. Never came to site in person. Quite was difficult to figure out what final estimate was. When I explained this over the phone. The guy started cursing at me to which I ended the call immediately BEWARE very unprofessional

They did all the excavating before the framing started and before the masonry was done. They did my whole yard and they were excellent.

They're very excellent. Pagliaro Excavating were very good, they cleaned up, they did not make a mess. They even came back and helped us again when the tractor trailers was stuck in the mud itself. They came and moved the trailers around for us to put them in position with no extra charge. The pricing was very reasonable.

They were outstanding. I had a very big job done on digging up in the basemetn. They digged out an old oil tank. They had cleaned it and cleared it. It is inactive now but has to be done by law. It was a very big job and they were outstaanding. Every man that came and worked was wonderful. It was a clean and beautiful job that took over several days.

ADEMARTINIS LANDSCAPING INC
Had a great new customer experience with DeMartinis Landscaping after engaging them to address some water and animal issues associated with my old home’s foundation. Our historic home’s rubble foundation had developed some integrity issues that were allowing water and chipmunks to enter the crawlspace under part of our house. I was anxious about getting it addressed before winter set in, particularly with the potential for animal access. Joe came out right away, got creative about how we might solve the problem, and took the time to think through and explain all possible options before we decided on the going-forward plan to address. Once I said “go”, Joe got us onto the schedule ASAP and delivered 1) exactly what was proposed, 2) for the price he said, 3) according to the schedule he outlined… no surprises. We had multiple crews here over 4 days for digging, concrete forms, concrete pouring, backfill/grading, and cleanup. All were polite, professional, hard-working, and did high-quality work. Across the board, was a great experience with DeMartinis Landscaping. I would strongly recommend, and will use again myself, without hesitation.

AEden construction solution llc
Expectations exceeded. Eden construction (Sean) was extremely professional and made recommendations and came thru above and beyond what I expected. I was hesitant to begin such a major project. I saw Sean working in the neighborhood and watched his project move along rather quickly. I spoke to the homeowner and she recommended Sean and Eden Construction. I must say, Sean is an honest reliable and hard working man. I highly recommend him.

Excellent responsiveness and customer care. Jess made me feel very comfortable with the work that had to be done and actually came back twice to thoroughly clean up after the excavation work was complete, and make some minor repairs. He's a one man army. Would highly recommend for excavation work

We used him several times and he is always fair and reliable. He tore the down the summer house and helped with drainage. There was a ledge rock that needed to be removed and he brought a company to have the rock removed and he chopped it up.
