Recent Review: Very well,. with discussion (no pressure), we decided to go with a tankless water system which was less expensive than 2 water heaters and warrenteed for 15 years. Simons dragged out the old tank and installed the new tankless, as well as increasing size of natural gas line to provide better efficiency. Great job.

Recent Review: Halco was punctual and and was very thorough on the assessment they conducted on the natural gas lines of a house that we were considering purchasing. They did not rush through the house since there were many natural gas appliances including gas log inserts that the technician check out. Very good job.

Recent Review: Installation went very well. The equipment required an additional part for installation which was immediately communicated to the Issac project mgr......the project awaits final completion this week. I was not required to pay the final bill until project completion and quality review with project mgr. I have had Issac perform work on my boiler system with great satisfaction as well. They also properly sized a new natural gas line when another installer made an improper design install.

Recent Review: Mark responded immediately to our request and was able to view the site and provide us a quote within days of our first contact --- Excellent.... very cordial and accommodating with times/dates. Scheduling the work was very quick as well --- they were willing to come out the very next week after we received the quote but we weren't ready/available.... Mark was able to juggle his schedule to get us in when we were finally ready. Mark's team had to work in some poor conditions (our basement is a pit ---and the stairs are in very poor condition (we just moved in so haven't got to them as yet.....) --- they were able to remove the old furnace and install the new furnace ----   I wasn't there to witness the install but there is no apparent debris or mess --- they did a great job leaving the area without any garbage..... They also removed a convoluted mess of old gas pipe and replaced with new black pipe --- looks very clean and they provided some access points to allow us to expand as we add new gas appliances. Also --- Mark's office team  (Marcie I believe) provided us the paperwork (and she filled out most of it) to receive a rebate on the new furnace.....  we had no idea about a rebate so this was a real bonus and a great help to have all the papers filled out (she even addressed the envelope and put a stamp on it for us). I would highly recommend Mark and his team.....

Recent Review: The job he did was excellent. We had him install an energy efficient gas furnace in another house also and were so pleased with his work that we did not hesitate to hire him to put in a new furnace system in our cabin that we just had built. He is reasonable, very knowledgeable, quick to respond to your inquiries. When we called him, our gas lines had just been installed and Mike came right out to evaluate what we would need, had a quote to us the next day, and within about a week, our new furnace is now installed. We couldn’t be happier with his work, price, products, and professionalism.

The people at Plitnick Plumbing and Heating called me right back and were very polite. They came to check but, I did not follow up. They never called me and I am sure if I had called they would have given me the quote.

Recently I noticed a strong gas smell comming from the meter area. I call the gas company and they sent a inspector to the house and found that when the new gas line was installed the union was left HAND TIGHT. This is just one more thing that shows the lack of professionalism, skill and concern for saftey that this company shows toward it's customers.

When I had a quote drawn up for at the time just the duct work, I decided to keep adding more to it since their prices I felt were the best around. No one could touch the prices they gave me.  I believe I got a great value and my moneys worth. They guys that came out to my house were really nice and professional.  We did have some minor issues with where the ductwork ran but in the end it was done great and I couldn't be more pleased. I realize with old houses things won't always go smoothly and we had our share of obstacles, but I feel they worked them out just fine. They were at my house for a full week and in the end everything was cleaned up and tightened up nicely. As I mentioned above, I even had them replace all the gas line in the house. The install manager Craig came out to my house several times to check on the work the guys were doing and he made sure the quality of work was being met. As I said before I feel they did a great job and I'm glad I chose them.  The only issue I have with the work is on the last day they were rushing to finish and the electric line to the A/C was not ran properly and the tie in to my breaker box will have to be fixed before I use it.  Luckily I know a good electrician who can take care of that for me.

It didn't go well.  The lead tech was a little rude and smart mouthed, mangy looking and not very intelligent.  His partner never said much, just observed.  They poked and prodded around a bit.  The problem was not corrected and I heard one say to the other "Well, it runs good enough".  They demanded payment right then & there, and left.  After they left, I listened to the furnace do it's double cycle thing a few more times before I called TJ's and complained that they did not fix the problem. They sent out 1 tech the next day, a different one from the day before.  He listened, poked & prodded, and came up with a prognosis that my gas feed line wasn't grounded and was sending voltage through the furnace, thus causing the problem.  He left, and I called an electrician to check this out.  There wasn't any grounding problem on the gas line, as the steel line comes out of the ground for one, and was ground strapped to the water line.  So it seems this tech just buffaloed me.  It turned out to be a problem with the thermostat.  Needless to say, I've switched plumbing /heating companies.

ABurnwell Gas
I went over to their office to get an estimate for installing a 35K BTU heater. The Service Manager,Randy Moore gave me an estimate quickly. I did not have to wait at all. He said that he would need to order the heater from N.J. ,and based on his experience, he estimated that the heater would arrive on the 12th of Nov. then he said it would be installed on the 13th. I was asked to make a 50% deposit in the amount of $702 which I did, and it was agreed that the remaining 50% will be paid upon completion of the job. On the 12th of Nov., I saw the Truck of Griffith Energy on my driveway (this is a day earlier than the projected installation date)Randy Moore then told me that the weather forecast for our area is not good and since he got the shipment earlier than expected, he thought he might as well have it installed before the weather gets bad in our area(he learned about the forecast). They got the work done that same day,and I paid the remaining 50% balance. The next day I noticed something about the routing of the gas line and I called Randy Moore. In less than half an hour, one of Mr Moore's service guys was in our house to address the problem. After about 3 days or so, we noticed that the thermostat wasn't working right,I called Randy Moore again and in no time, one of his men came to the house with a new replacement thermostat. I wish everybody in the service business were as conscientious and as professional as Mr Moore and his service guys. Earlier, perhaps 2 days after the job completion, received a bill for $1,404. When I called the Burnwell office for clarification, the woman whom I talked to said(in an unapologetic and seemingly annoyed tone)said:"We bill all our customers". (My question:EVEN THOSE WHO HAVE FULLY PAID?) I would have appreciated a polite reply to my query. That's why this company did not get a straight "A" from me.
