Recent Review: Mike and his coworker did a nice job specifying and installing a mini-split heat pump for a stand alone room. The unit works great, is quiet, and energy efficient. Price was competitive and work was done on time and with attention to detail.
Recent Review: Didn't show or call on install date. Rescheduled and install went well. Unfortunately, I could not be there when the install took place. Therefore, the equipment was not installed exactly where I wanted it. Overall I'm happy with the project.
Recent Review: This company came right out without hitting me for a charge up front and fixed it within an hour. It did not need recharging, It needed something electrical and they cleaned the heat pump of all my pine needles. Awesome service and pricing. Thank You

Smooth start to finish. Hal Smith and Steve Hegel are the best. They are the most courteous and contentious men in the Hvac industry.

FSears Home Services
I scheduled an appointment with Sears Home Services for air conditioning repair. The aoppointment was scheduled 8 days in advance, for today, June 6, 2012. My daughter is (as of this date) 6 months pregnant. Her Sears Kenmore Heat Pump was not functioning. It was disappointing to have it take 8 days to schedule the appointment, but that is minor. The technical consultant promised me a technician between 1 PM and 4/5 PM on the 6th. At 3:41 PM I received a call from the dispatcher who verified the address (incorrect address, so it was good that he verified). He asked if the technician could call me for directions. I, of course, consented. The tech was about 20 miles away and commented that it was raining hard where he was. It was not raining at my location. There did come to be a passing shower that lasted for 10 minutes. About one hour and thirty minutes after the call for directions, I attempted to call back the cell phone but got no answer. Finally, I checked an alternate number, my home number, and had a call from Sears Home Service saying that the technician would not be able to get there due to the rain. It was sunny where I was. I was given a number to call, and for over 3 hours I was on hold, and put in situations where I could not get a replacement service call until Monday. I kept on pressing, incredulous that after taking a half day of my time, Sears was not doing what they had to to get a technician to me in a reasonable time frame. The soonest they could get a technician to me was 5 days later. This reflects a total lack of concern for the customer on the part of Sears. What should have happened is that someone in the customer service hierarchy schedule someone at my convenience the next day. It appears that the issue is that Sears Management is unwilling to pay technicians overtime, and would rather lose customers and have to give steep discounts on service than to simply fulfill normal levels of customer service in the hot season of the year. This suggests incompetence at the highest levels of Sears and explains why Sears is continuously losing ground in the reatail industry. It was very difficult to escalate my call, and each escalation involved a long time on hold. The customer service person (Amelia) had the extraordinarily difficult task of having to try to placate me without being able to solve my problem. Sears is so committed to staying in budget and not adjusting to meet customer needs as to leave me never wanting to have to do business with sears again. It was a complete disaster and a total waste of 8 hours of my time. The person (Amelia) was courteous but incapable of providing a reasonable solution. It is clear that customer service is not a priority for Sears.
