Recent Review: Excellent work. Capital did some major system renovations last year and I have been dealing with a balky heat pump which was replaced under warranty last year by Capital. This heat pump was NOT installed by Capital but they supported me and worked very diligently with a reticent manufacturer to make the replacement. This year I was having problems with an expansion valve in the heat pump which caused multiple heat system failures. Capital again worked very h****** my behalf to figure out a subtle and complex problem. They also replaced the expansion valve at their expense in labor and parts in order to stand by their work with the replacement heat pump. In my opinion the cost of replacing the valve and the labor should have been covered by the manufacturer of the heat pump- Heat Controller Inc. Unlike Capital though Heat Controller gave all kinds of misleading diagnostic information and wasted a lot of time as well as days without heat on my part. They have not offered to pay for anything at this point. In conclusion I would highly recommend Capital for geothermal heating they know and understand this complicated technology and are well qualified to service it.

Recent Review: Over the last three years, I have used this company several times. I like just about everything about them. They call 20 minutes before the tech comes and they wear booties when they come into the house. You can call their office and the secretary is always very responsive and honest. They are very professional, honest, and their price is fair. You never had to call them back; they fix it right the first time.

Recent Review: I have a tri level home with no basement and hot water baseboard heating.  When i learned there was a reasonable solution to my uncomfortable summers, I investigated the split duct system.  Three different companies presented their solutions.  I felt most comfortable with the Warm and Fuzzy Company, both from their reputation from acquaintances and from the home visit. Two different units were installed to accommodate the split levels.  By declining to have the heat pump included I was able to save more than $800. extra.  I already have a heating system and didn't feel the need for an additional format. The workers were timely, steady working, and cleaned up as they went along.   They didn't even stop for lunch, just powered through. The one glitch occurred when it came time to connect with the power.  My unusual configuration of a house presented challenges.  After some consultation with their on-call electrician, the problem was resolved.  That , however, pushed the final installation into the next week.  That would be my only admonition....make sure all those involved in the  project are in agreement beforehand...sometimes the sales person may have a different idea than the actual installer for your system.  That could save unnecessary stress . In all, it worked out well.  I love the system and wish I had had it years ago!  I do highly recommend Warm and Fuzzy.

AHeatwave Heating & Cooling
I had 6 different companies give me an estimate to install a mini-split system before signing a contract with Heatwave.  I was bewildered at wide range of prices and different levels of professionalism that I received from each company. The sales rep from the first company that came to my home was professional and wore booties over his shoes. He  took general measurements and calculated the size of the unit that he thought I would need, but his estimate was scribbled on notebook paper.  I was shell shocked by the price...they wanted over $10,000 for a premium Mitsubishi AC system.  I was worried that I would never be able to afford an AC system.  The next guy sauntered in without bothering to remove his shoes, eyeballed the space, told me that Mitsubishi systems are terrible and that I should go for a Panasonic, and told me he would email me an estimate.... well over $7000. I knew I wouldn't hire them the minute he walked in the door.  By contrast, Heatwave was extremely professional.  When Joe walked in the door he had the company shirt on and put the booties over his shoes. He noticed my new hardwood floors and even mentioned how they needed to be protected in the estimate.  He had a really cool and extremely accurate laser measurement system.  He brought his computer and portable printer.  He used software that has an algorithm that calculates the exact load needed to cool the space most efficiently. The estimate was professionally printed on site. Again I was shell shocked by the price... in a good way!  It was half that every other company.  Originally $3500.  I was thrilled because I knew I could afford it!  Another factor in favor of Heatwave is that they offered a single outdoor compressor for multiple splits.  Some companies insisted that I would need multiple outdoor compressors.  I decided to upgrade the outdoor compressor so that I could add another split in the future for my attic. This increased my cost to $4000,  A few days after I met Joe, I received a thank you card in the mail.  It was a nice personal touch that no other company offered. After the Heatwave estimate, I had a few more estimates but nobody came even close to their price.  I signed a contract with Heatwave and schedule the installation for early July.  For the most part the installation team did a good job and got the system up and running without making a huge mess.  I had to clean up some dust after they left but I felt they did a good job.  There were two issues that needed to be resolved.  The first was that the cover for one of the splits broke during the installation. You couldn't tell that it was broken unless you removed it, but he said he would order a new one.  The second issue was that I wanted the drain to be fed into the storm drain, but the installers had it draining to the ground.  In the last few minutes of he rigged up a  PVC to the storm drain but it was poorly done in not secure and ended up leaking, which I didn't notice until last week.  I called their service dept. and within two days they had a technician out to fix the problem.  He corrected the leak, secured the the pvc drain, and re-ordered a new cover for the split.   I have had the system for a little over a month now. Trane is a good product and and I am happy with it's performance.  It is really quiet and it cools things down very quickly. I was hoping we would have a few more hot muggy weeks this summer so that I could really put it to the test, but I'll be ready the next time we have a heatwave!  The bonus is that the Trane unit has a heat pump and will take the chill out of the air on those crisp cool autumn nights. After my experience with 6 different companies I would recommend Heatwave to you without reservation.
