Business Description: I am a privately owned Home Inspection company (License # 16000035915) that specializes in representing the home buyer and not working for the real estate agent. Most home inspectors receive referals from the buyers agent who would not recommend an inspector that might spoil the deal if he finds a flaw in the inspection. I don't work for the agent. I work for the buyer. I review all the components of the house from the roof, gutters, siding, windows, insulation, electrical wiring, plumbing, sump pump, hot water tank, heating system and any pertainent feature of the house that would affect the quality of the house. I have been an engineer at Fisher-Price for 34 years and was trained to identify problems (ingeneral) and continue to follow this training in the home inspection business. Pricing - My pricing is primarily figured by square footage of the house: $300 minimum @1500 Sq. Ft for each additional 500 sq. ft add $50. example - (2000 sq. ft. = $350, 2500sq. ft. = $400 and so on) Crawl space basement - additional $50 unattached garage - $50 additional

Recent Review: I’m in the processing of buying my first home, so naturally it is a very overwhelming experience. Rick noticed how nervous I was and really went out of his way to make me feel comfortable! He answered every question I had (which was lots) and took his time to explain everything along the way! I would 100% recommend Rick

Reviews in Cheektowaga to Inspect Crawl Space

AA Plus Home Inspection
Overall, the home inspection went better than expected. Adam took pictures of everything, thoroughly described problems that he noticed, and he evaluated every nook and cranny of the house. I was especially impressed by the inspection report. It was detailed, included pictures of the problem, and was very long. I highly recommend!

AProfessional Opinion Home Inspection
Dave took his time and was very thorough and knowledgeable!! He wasn't afraid to "get down in the dirt" and thrust his body in a very small crawl space under the house....He gave my clients good detailed information on their new home that will act as a guide of items to do in future. I would use him again.

AHome and Structure Inspections
We originally hired Tom to inspect the crawl space under the house in which we were closing on. Our lender had requested an inspection of the foundation. Tom was very willing to help us out and even offered a complete home inspection. We had already received a home inspection months before this, but we thought it wouldn't hurt for someone else to take a look at it since the home was over 100 years old. From our previous home inspection we were told that the waves in the roof were okay and that we had another 10 years left on it. Also we were told that the bowing in the floors were okay and that it was just because of the age of the home and that the foundation was solid and nothing to worry about. When Tom looked at the house he really helped us out. He went in the crawl space and checked out the entire foundation and let us know that the foundation needs quite a bit of work. He was very honest with us and made sure we knew what we might be getting into with the house. He even warned us that it probably would not be passed by our lender which was very crucial. Tom also showed us all the bowing in the floors and let us know how concerning this was (which was completely different from what were were previously told by a different home inspector). Tom also went over the roof with us and warned us of the waves of the roof and that it might take a substantial amount of money to fix (this is the same roof that we were told previously was fine and that we had 10 more years on). Tom even took his time to give us suggestions and went over additional areas of the house where it was shifting because of the foundation, which were things that were not pointed out to us by our previous inspector. He actually did us a huge favor and let us stop the inspection early and dropped the price of the inspection from $500 to $250 while still giving us a lot of information on the house. To put it into comparison, I was quoted by 3 other inspectors $275 just to check the foundation in the crawl space and nothing else. We paid Tom $250 and got the foundation inspected along with information on the roof, flooring, electrical work, furnace, plumbing, and overall structure of the home. We ended up canceling the loan on this home thanks to Tom! When we find our next home we will definitely be hiring Tom for the home inspection!!

ASpecsure Property Inspections
Allen was parked out front when I arrived, ready to get to work. This was the second time in three weeks I hired specture and my second interaction with Allen. Allen was thorough where it counts. He spent time looking at the roof, grading, attic and crawl spaces, and most of all, the basement. And while a home inspection company will not tell you to buy or walk away, the pros will give you sufficient information to make a decision. It was a pleasure working with this company. I received a discount because I was a returning customer. The inspection is generally priced a bit higher.

AFrank's Basement Systems
I got the estimate at the end of August, 2009 and because I got a new job and had some other things come up I unable to schedule the work till February, they still honored the original estimate. The workers were punctual, knowledgeable and communicative. The project manager stopped in a few times over the 2 days of the project to check on how things were going and to answer my questions. They suggested additional work, but it seemed to be because I really needed the additional drainage, there was no hard sell to get me to do the additional work. They were willing to re-use my existing sump pump to help me save money on the project. It was a very muddy job and they did the best they could to keep my carpet, front porch, and lawn clean. After they finished they explained everything very well. It wasn't perfect, but no one could have done better. I was very pleased with the whole project.

AA Plus Home Inspection
He ended up being cheaper than we expected. I like everything about him and he was incredible. I have recommended him to all of my friends. He originally used to do the house and the garage for us and we also had a barn in the property so we told him not to worry about it because we had to pay extra money for it. He said he will look at it and add into the report but won't charge for it. He ended up not charging for it and put it in the report and did the write up and that is just because he is a nice guy. He was very thorough. There is a crawl space next to the basement and he looked at it and rolled his eyes and took his equipment and crawled back under there and took pictures and found a major issue during the inspection and the house had gone really well. It was easy for him to say everything looks good but I ended up saving because there was a sewage pipe under the house and it was pretty important to me. I had concerns as I wanted to move the wash room right up from the basement so he looked at all that for me and anything what I said and he took extra time to look into it and I just thought it wasn't like a just run of the mill inspection. He also listened and was here for five hours looking at things. I was beyond impressed and I thought he was phenomenal. He has a quirky sense of humor.

A1st Look Home Inspections
Jim was very personable and professional during the home inspection process. He did a great job explaining and describing anything that needed to be discussed during the inspection. He was thorough and you could tell he took his job seriously. My husband and I are first time home buyers and Jim really went above and beyond with walking us through the process and making us feel comfortable knowing all the ins and outs of the home. The report he provided us with after the inspection was detailed and explained everything in great detail. I highly recommend working with Jim and we will definitely be doing so in the future.

We hired Jim do a home inspection, to include radon testing, and he did an outstanding job. He coordinated with our realtor for the early placement of the radon detector and arrived on time for the inspection itself which took about 2 1/2 hours. Jim was responsive, courteous, professional and very thorough. The evening of the inspection we had a radon report with two days of hourly readings and a detailed 31 page report with 22 photographs that gave us a very clear view of the condition of the house, from roof to basement, and everything inside. An added plus is that Jim supports our military and gives veterans discounts. Highly recommended. Thank you very much for a job well done!
