Reviews in Candor for Installing Electrical Switches

The technicians arrived on time, set up quickly and then set about installing the light switches and ceiling fan hookups. They did a great job, cleaned up well and were generally pleasant to speak with. I would definitely call them again if we need more work done.

I cannot say enough about the professionalism and knowledge of Andrew Stebner from Albrite Electric. He was the third electrical contractor to give me a quote on the work I thought I needed done in my house and he was the only one to take the time to examine the wiring, breaker boxes, and utility boxes to determine what the problem really was. He saved me so much money simply by knowing that what I thought the problem was in my house wasn't something that could feasibly be wrong. His honesty and integrity speak volumes about the kind of company Albrite Electric is and the kind of people they employ. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone and everyone and will without a doubt call upon them for any electrical work I need completed in the future.

They arrived promptly when called. The technicians were professional. They did everything I asked them to in a timely manner and were very careful about not letting my cats out. They also make sure they picked up everything that could have been dangerous to the cats or any garbage that my fell on the floor. They also cleaned up all dust that was created when they made the wholes for the new outlets in my husband's office. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needed electrical work done. We had never used an electrician before and this is our first try and I found them by Angie's list and I would definitely use them again.

Started on May 8 2012.  Removed bathroom vanity and toilet to lay new carpet tiles.  Created water leaks in sink and toilet lines and didn't fix them until I brought it to their attention.  Took me a while to clean it up and dry it out after the leak was repaired.  New windows were not ?wrapped? on the outside until the second week after they were installed.  The inside wall, of one of the new windows, had spray foam insulation on the wall.  The trim will not cover, I?ll have to paint.   Came home one day and found dirt tracked in my bedroom.  There wasn't any work being done in my bedroom.  They had also been in the upstairs and there wasn't any work being done there.  Came home one day and found a bottle of Sports drink in my refrigerator.   My livingroom ceiling fan was taken down and damaged in the process.  I had to buy a new one, it was installed free of charge.  New Bathroom door was installed and had to be adjusted three times so it would stay open.   When the new bathroom window was installed the bathroom tub was chipped in the process even though I had asked them twice to be careful.  I have a dark blemish where they tried to repair the tub.  I'm not happy because this shouldn?t have happened in the first place.   But now it's November and the biggest problem is I have mice running around in my livingroom ceiling.  The livingroom ceiling is supposed to be insulated.  If it is, why am I hearing mice running around in the ceiling?  I contacted Jim Randall and his response is  "I am not a rodent expert, but I do know they can and WILL burrow through insulation and other materials. You are going to have to call an exterminator."   My feeling is if  my livingroom ceiling is insulated, then someone has to prove it.  Mice would have a very difficult time "burrowing" through insulation and it sounds like they have free  reign.   My Opinion of Kiefer-Randall:   If I was at home when the work was being done, there weren?t any problems.  It only happened when I wasn?t there.  I want to be able to trust someone coming into my home.  I don?t want to take time off from work to babysit.  I expect work to be guaranteed.  The job started on May 8, 2012 but never finished until August 16, 2012 for a job that was supposed to take 1.5 weeks.

The job went very well. We found Tim on Angie's list and interviewed him and three others for the job. He had great ideas for the work we wanted to do and was extremely flexible when our ideas changed for whatever reason. He was cost-conscious on our behalf. For example, instead of getting a dumpster, he would haul away debris in his truck to the appropriate place and donated material to Habitat for Humanity if they could use it. He recommended someone to refinish one of our existing hardwood floors and coordinated that job for us. He helped us find the period doors we were looking for and order the correct sizes. He recommended a flooring business to us and even suggested a particular carpet installer that worked there that he had worked with on other houses and knew did a good job. He recommended a place to buy our new hardwood flooring that had good prices and delivery times. He was on time every day and if he needed to come late or leave early for any reason he would let me know and tell me why. He cleaned up after himself every day. He gave us his cell phone number and email and made himself available on the job and after hours if we had questions or a message. My favorite response of his to anything was, 'Not a problem'. Tim really can do anything and will do it until you are satisfied (I am rather picky - perfectionist maybe - and while some ways of doing things wouldn't bother someone else they would bother me - and Tim performed to that level). He would also consult us regularly to ask how we wanted something done or how we wanted it to look, or just gave us options for materials he could use. Tim is lead certified which was important to us especially since we have a young child. He coordinated with the person who built and installed our new staircase and bannister - they were in touch directly in regard to scheduling the demolition and removal of the old stairs and stairwell and install of the new stairs and bannister, and both were flexible, professional and thoughtful of each other's work here and the space and time they needed to do their work. Tim is personable, he is a family man and interacted happily and comfortably with my daughter and myself when he was working, he is flexible with ideas, he knows a lot of local people in his business, and he is trustworthy - we gave him keys to our house at times when we wouldn't be here at his arrival or departure. When he works for you, your job is his only focus. When he is finished, he will move to his next job, and there is always one waiting.

Bathroom remodel project was fully paid for in the spring of 2010, but only partially completed. Quality of initial work very good, so much so that I recommended him to friends for his services. However, as work progressed - and note that he was paid up front - it became increasingly shoddy, and finally stopped altogether, with significant missing components. Never completed despite multiple time extensions, polite requests and very specific directives. See pix. Bathroom was left extremely dirty.
