Business Description: Indoor Air Technologies, Inc. (IAT), formed in June 1994, was one of the pioneers in the Mechanical Cleaning of HVAC Systems. A locally owned, New York State Certified Woman Business Enterprise based in Victor, New York, IAT is a leader in Mechanical Cleaning of HVAC Systems projects Nation Wide. IAT maintains impeccable references as well as membership in the Better Business Bureau, Better Contractors Bureau and the National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA). Awareness of Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) issues have increased substantially in recent years due to increased media attention and lawsuits as well as government and private research. High costs are associated with poor IAQ, including lost worker productivity, absenteeism, higher health care expenses, shorter equipment life and court settlement awards. IAT has worked closely with leading Engineering and Architectural Companies, Industrial Hygienists, HVAC/ Mechanical Contractors, Plant Maintenance and Fire Restoration Companies. IAT maintains an outstanding reputation and is confident we can service your needs. A building's heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system provides conditioned air to occupied spaces within the facility. Typically, air from within an occupied space, along with fresh air drawn from outdoors, in drawn in through ductwork to an HVAC unit, where it is conditioned. Before the air gets to the unit, it usually passes through a filter designed to protect the mechanical equipment from becoming contaminated by large particles of dust and debris. Many filters commonly used today will not prevent the introduction of small particles of dust and debris from the air stream into the system. Over time, these deposits may form sizable accumulations. In the course of normal building operations, the humidity level within the HVAC system can vary greatly. High humidity can combine with dust and debris in the system, often resulting in the growth of microbial contamination. In an HVAC system, microbial contamination (such as mold, fungus and their spores) may cause adverse health reactions among building occupants. Condense drain pans and other system components often become heavily contaminated with fungal and bacterial slime. In order to maintain acceptable indoor air quality (IAQ) it is commonly recommended that mold, fungi, dust and other contaminants are cleaned out of the HVAC system. Cleaning HVAC systems provides many benefits. Cleaning lessens the likelihood of indoor air pollution in the building, and may help to alleviate health and comfort complaints by occupants. Clean HVAC systems perform more efficiently, which may decrease energy costs. Well maintained mechanical components are likely to last longer, reducing the need for costly HVAC system replacement or repairs. With growing awareness of the dangers of indoor air pollution, public concern for the cleanliness of ventilation systems has led to significant increase in demand for HVAC system cleaning services. Solving complex IAQ problems, however, often requires a team of multi-disciplined professionals, such as mechanical contractors, filtration experts, test and balance specialists, industrial hygienists, and, of course, professional HVAC system cleaning contractors.
Business Description: Hi my name is Larado, and I'm the owner of OxiBlast Carpet Cleaning & Restoration. I've had the privilege of helping over thousands of your friends and neighbors get the most sparkling carpets and rugs they've ever seen, since 1999. In fact, many tell me they love taking their shoes off and rubbing their toes in the soft, fluffy carpet after they get the most thorough cleaning ever (which we guarantee to give you...or our service is free)! They told me they wanted more. . .and I'm giving it to them. Many of my new clients have told me they were sick of the "cheap, soggy carpet cleaning" their carpets were getting from other cleaning companies. I am constantly seeing and hearing the results of these un-educated cleaners. Don't be a victim of these un-ethical cleaners ! They use harsh, cheap, and even dangerous cleaning agents (leaving toxic amounts of chemical residue in your home.) Some of these residues are not even safe for your pets much less your children. The chemicals that these un-educated cleaners use are so harsh that they strip the life from the carpet fibers adding years to the wear age. Plus these cleaners don't even pull out all the embedded soil debris that ends up at the lower part of your fibers which will cause your carpet to wear faster. This means you're going to need to replace your carpets sooner (big bucks!)...and that your home won't be as healthy. These types of cleaners are untrained, unethical, and downright unscrupulous cleaners. So not only will you pay more in the long run by going with "cheap cleaners" ... you won't be enjoying all the benefits of a great looking carpet.

Reviews in Campbell to Replace Ductwork

FSimons Heating & Cooling
My name is Stephanie and I wanted to take a moment to describe my experience with Simons Heating & Cooling.  My husband and I just purchased our first home and wanted to make sure we hired the right company to clean our air ducts.  After lots of research and consideration, we went with Simons.  They were more expensive than any other company, but Tami the receptionist did a great job at explaining why their company was worth the extra money.  Unfortunately this did not turn out to be the case, and here's a short list as to why: 1. I caught one of the workers vaping behind my house when he was supposed to be cleaning my air conditioning unit.  From that moment on he worked well, but it was probably because he did not want this review written. 2. I lent the workers one of my drop cloths to use so they didn't make a mess, because they were not prepared with one. 3. When trying to remove one of the registers, they created a gash in my newly painted hallway which I now have to spackle. 4. I was told they would bring a new filter for the system, but instead they just used the extra one I had already purchased.  When I asked if he just used mine or was this one they brought, he said they didn't have any filters my size in the truck. 5.  There were black hand prints and finger prints all around the registers on our newly painted walls. 6.  The workers ended up taking my drop cloth with them (most likely by mistake) but when I called the next day to get it back, I was told they would drop it off at their convenience.  If I did not want to wait, I could drive the half an hour and pick it up from their shop. 7.  When I called a week later to ask when I would be receiving my drop cloth, I was told by Tami that they would not be returning it unless they were in the area.  "It's just a drop cloth!  How much money could you have spent on it?" said Tami.  I explained that it's not about the money, it's about the principle.  The fact of the matter is, this company has something that belongs to me, and instead of righting a wrong, they would rather keep life simple for them.  I was offered a $25 coupon for future service, but that won't be necessary. I would also like to say that I've never written a negative review before on any company, restaurant, service, etc.  I'm shocked that a well known company such as Simons would take such a simple act of returning what belongs to a customer, and turn it into this.  Despite the other problems listed, the job was completed and two workers couldn't have been any nicer.  I would not recommend them to others, and I wish I didn't feel compelled to write this review.

The salesperson sold us a furnace too large for our house and thought that new ductwork just meant new register covers. The installers were fine - but the salesperson did not communicate accurately with the installers and misled us. The installers were on the phone with the salesperson for a couple of hours trying to straighten the mess out. At that point we cancelled the job because we felt the salesperson was dishonest. We made a payment to cover one/fourth of the cost before any installation began, the check was cashed and there was a delay in getting it back.

Not the least expensive and not the most expensive as far as my estimates went but I was the most comfortable using them. When it came down to it, they were professional and did an excellent job on my rental. Dave always got back to me promptly in responding to any questions I had and he gave me a lot of options with my heating and cooling. Really very pleased with the work and finished product. I highly recommend these guys.

George was right on time for both appointments. He wasted no time getting to the installation, had everything he was going to need right with him in service van. Very personable, answered any questions in easy to understand terms.

When our furnace quit in April, our first thought was to use electric heaters and postpone what we were sure would be the very expensive repair of our furnace.  However, two days of bitter cold quickly changed our mind and we called for service late morning.  The repair man was at the house within a couple of hours.  He was friendly, informative, and gave me advice regarding moving the hot air throughout the house and increasing the efficiency of the furnace that we presently have.  He also observed that the metal box around the cold air duct was missing a panel and repaired that for me without hesitation.

Where do I start with them, it took over a week longer than expected to get the a/c condenser in which was still damaged and had to be returned. Their pamplet says they use only factory-trained installers and service technicians. When they came out there was 1 experienced installer and 1 employee that was with them for less than 3 months. When they arrived they were friendly and courteous however the quality of their work was extremely lacking. They moved my water heater to make the install easier. This was fine until they ran the water line through a fluorescent light fixture so it could not even have a bulb installed. The water lines were not properly secured, rubbing against each other, the light fixture and the HVAC ductwork. The ductwork was installed so poorly that they had to return 4 times to fix air leaks. They did not properly install clips to hold it together and it was not sealed properly to prevent basement odor from entering the house. I seriously wonder if they even have a level in there truck. Not one section of duct work is level. There were so many code violations that needed correction it was sad. A brief list of code violations and poor quality work. 1. Electrical junction box wasn't accessible. 2. Gas line was rubbing agains the metal cabinet and did not have driplines. 3. Waterline ran through and against a light fixture, not properly secured and rubbing on ductwork. 4. Duct work had 4 junctions that were not taped or sealed, 2 corners had large gaps allowing basement odors into the house. The normal person that in not familiar with electrical and mechanical code should beware of using them. They did correct all of the things I caught when I pointed them out, however the things I pointed out should have NEVER happened. I seriously wonder how many more things that I didn't find. In hindsight I should have asked them to leave after the water heater incident.

AInterstate the Heating & Cooling Professionals
When I had a quote drawn up for at the time just the duct work, I decided to keep adding more to it since their prices I felt were the best around. No one could touch the prices they gave me.  I believe I got a great value and my moneys worth. They guys that came out to my house were really nice and professional.  We did have some minor issues with where the ductwork ran but in the end it was done great and I couldn't be more pleased. I realize with old houses things won't always go smoothly and we had our share of obstacles, but I feel they worked them out just fine. They were at my house for a full week and in the end everything was cleaned up and tightened up nicely. As I mentioned above, I even had them replace all the gas line in the house. The install manager Craig came out to my house several times to check on the work the guys were doing and he made sure the quality of work was being met. As I said before I feel they did a great job and I'm glad I chose them.  The only issue I have with the work is on the last day they were rushing to finish and the electric line to the A/C was not ran properly and the tie in to my breaker box will have to be fixed before I use it.  Luckily I know a good electrician who can take care of that for me.

BClemons Plumbing & Heating
I was informed in late February by my Realtor that my vacant home in Carthage had a broken pipe in the kitchen and the house was freezing. I was living in Georgia at the time due to a military move, and was trying to sell the home. I called several local plumbing/heating contractors and Clemons was the only one who even had the courtesy to call me back. He went to the house to make sure no more damage was being done, he evaluated the problem, and he got me a recommendation and estimate pretty quickly. Because of the way my ductwork was run, water from the kitchen flowed through it and into the furnace itself, essentially destroying it. I had family in the area check this out, as I was out of town and reaonably skeptical, but everything was on the level. He also spoke directly to my insurance adjuster to explain his recommendation and ensure I was paid appropriately for the replacement. Bruce quickly installed a quality furnace for me at a fair price. Once the house warmed and pipes thawed out, he discovered additional leaks in the plumbing for the bathroom above the kitchen, which he also repaired. The job was done cleanly, the work is solid, and the plumbing and heating equipment work great. The only minor issue I had with Bruce was the timeliness of his correspondence with me after the work was done. I was eager to get the issue closed, but it took several phone calls over 6 or 7 weeks to get him to finally send me a bill so I could forward it to the insurance company and get the claim resolved. It wasn't a huge issue, just a little frustrating. Overall, I would definitely recommend Clemons Plumbing and Heating to anyone looking for quality work at a fair price.
