Recent Review: Everything went extremely well. Paul acted as a general contractor, selecting the plumbing and electrical people and ensuring they did a professional job.  Paul did all of the ceramic tile and painting himself.  He took out a recessed electrical wall heater and built a storage closet using the door from the old sink so that it would match the other cabinet.  Paul provided contacts for ordering the utility and fixtures and provided helpful input in making selections.  The final job exceeded our expectations.  He has also done other work for us including painting our family room and utility room and repairing the ceilings.  He has also done a major upgrade in our kitchen including new counter tops and ceramic tile around the oven and one wall. Paul is very thorough and takes pride in his work. We will certainly use Precision Painting (Paul Tasillo) again when we have work done.

Recent Review: Excellent! We were incredibly impressed! He gave us several great ideas and we descided to move forward on them. Our timeframe was a few day turn around, and that did not motch our schedules so we decided to work with other projects with more planning. We liked him so we definitely hope to work together in the future. Excellent contracting skills and sensibilities. He was the most recommended that I have had and after meeting with him I can see why.

Reviews for Remodeling Bathrooms in Bridgeport

ADiMartino Construction & Remodeling
We needed to replace the sub-floor, flooring, tub, and tub surround in our only full bathroom.  Along with that I made some other updates to the vanity & cabinets.  John and his crew successfully finished the job within the week time frame he originally promised.  He was very easy to stay in contact with for any updates or changes from the original estimate through the completion of the job.  John was very accommodating with any last minute changes I requested and was more than happy to make any adjustments.  He answered any questions I had about materials or the process honestly.  They were all respectful of my home, and the fact that they had to work around 2 beagles and occasionally our 1 year old - climbing over multiple baby gates as necessary!  Living through any renovation is tough, especially when it's your only full bath out of service, but John & his crew made it easy for our family.  Thank you!

AHaines and Haines Inc.
After much research online and with Angie's List, I had three different contractors come to have a look at our bathroom project and provide a quote.  I am a pretty avid DIY, and have my share of experience with plumbing, electrical and the like.  I renovated another bathroom in my home a few years ago myself but simply didn't have the time to do it again and wished to hire it out.  It's fair to say that I have pretty high standards and expect the highest level of professionalism from whom I work with. I was immediately impressed with Jeff and Tom's attitude, professionalism and honesty upon our first meeting.  They made several recommendations and was sure to respect our ideas for the project.  They provided a competitive quote and worked with me to schedule the job at a time that worked for both of us. Throughout the course of the project, Jeff was in touch about decisions that needed to be made, and checked in regularly with updates.  He was always responsive to texts and calls and made sure we were happy every step of the way. Part of the reason I hired Haines and Haines is that I trusted them from the beginning, and they are honorable folks.  I never was concerned giving them a key to my house and provided full access to our home for their team for about 5 weeks while they worked.  I have two friendly but somewhat annoying dogs and the team worked around them with no issue.   Regarding quality of work; top notch.  The job was a total gut and rebuild, and included replacing a cast iron tub/shower with a beautiful custom tile walk-in.  All the little details were attended to, from finding the right shallow box to put a switch where I wanted it in my older home with weird walls, to re-routing drain plumbing to allow for maximum use of space in the basement instead of taking the easier, more direct route. Haines and Haines did a great job with my project, and I would recommend them without reservation.  Search no further if you are looking for an honest, thorough and quality business to handle your project.

We had a total remodel of our main bathroom. All work was completed on time and the quality of the work was excellent. Scott had many excellent suggestions during the remodeling. Designed and built a special vanity and did a great job. Added grab bars  for the tub and toilet. rewired the bathroom  for the new lights and fan. Scott did a good job and was easy to work with. Very Happy with the job and would highly recommend him. for any remodeling.

Replaced the sink, toilet, medicine cabinet, ceiling fan, and lighting, flooring--plus moved the heating to a side wall.  Replaced a couple of old pripes.  Sanded and primed the walls.  Did a good job.

AArtisan Renovations
Both bathrooms renovations surpassed our expectations. Doug is easy to work with. His does beautiful tile work. He's careful to lay down drop cloths and sets up a plastic wall barrier to reduce the amount of dust from escaping the work area. At the end of each day, he removes the drop cloths and cleans up his work area. I will definitely consider using him for future home renovation projects. The fall renovation of a full bath came to about 18k and the spring renovation of the half bath to full bath came to about 13k.

Very precise, punctual, and respectful. Gave great layout...and ideas...and was open to alot of options. We would have went with Artisan, but we changed our mind and decided to put off the project for a couple years. We would definitely work with Artisan again.

Les and his crew of two employees always showed up when they indicated and completed the job at the agreed upon price.  The installation of the marble flooring and inset ceiling were beautifully done.  The tiling in the shower was also beautifully done but the floor pooled water to the front corner.  Upon notification Les was very prompt to come back and repair the issue; however we still have a small amount of water that pools and have to use our foot or squeegie to get down the drain.  He also installed a clawfoot tub which is very nice and required quite a bit of extra work.  The double sink is installed squarely however it is not level and if water splashes on the counter it runs to the back corner.  They installed the closet shelving and it came out beautifully but last week we had to take it down and reinforce it because one side wasn't attached to anything.  We had the same issue with our towel bar which pulled off of the wall two weeks after they finished.  Overall they did a beautiful job but tended to short cut the finishing details like using quality trim, filling nail holes, correctly securing things and other fine tuning details. Our main issue was that the ceiling below ended up having leaks.  The first time Les was very responsive and came back and tore out the ceiling and traced the leak to what he believed was a sodder issue in the old piping.  He repaired the ceiling but again we had to hire a separate contractor to come back and fix the sheet rock, molding and finishing details.   The reason for this review is that yesterday we had another leak in the same ceiling below the bathroom and Les indicated that it wasn't his fault when I contacted him.  When we cut out the sheet rock (again) we found the leak where he put the line for the bathtub behind the shower.  Cheap connectors and cut off valves were used and they were leaking down to the ceiling below.  We cut them out and replaced them with soddered joints and there hasn't been any leak since last night.  I am unsure if the other connectors that he did will result in the same issue and we are considering replacing them all to avoid this issue again. Overall his team is very talented and does beautiful work but rush/shortcut on some details that create the tone of the entire experience.  If he had done the entire job at the same quality of the floor tile there probably wouldn't have been the issue with the shower not draining, handle and shelving coming away from the wall, sheet rock edges needing to be repaired, nail holes filled and this last incident of the ceiling leaking from the bathroom above.  For the price savings we may have been better off going with another vendor to have the piece of mind/quality of finishing work.  Otherwise his price is great and he's a pleasure to work with.

A few minutes late for our appointment, but not a big deal to us. Very courteous and polite and really listened to what we wanted to do in the bathroom. Offered alternatives and general recommendations while at appointment.  He advised he would do a more specific breakdown and research other ideas for us and let us know.  We received a lump sum general cost via email requesting to sit with us to go over specifics. As the limp sum estimate was out of our price range we were willing to spend, we did not meet with them further. Very professional and we have no doubt that their product and services would be nothing less then perfect, however we weren't willing to pay the price tag associated with it.

Victor completed my job in February, 2014 as promised -- and, I must say that I am 100% satisfied with his work. Victor is a talented, dedicated craftsman -- who pays attention to detail -- and knows how to solve the many problems that are confronted while making bathroom renovations. He takes his time -- and does high quality work -- using high quality materials -- and, he does this all at a competitive price. If you are considering having any bathroom renovations done at your house -- then you owe it to yourself to at least contact Victor -- and give him an opportunity to bid on your job. I honestly believe that he will impress you as much as he impressed me.
