Mr. Dailey presented himself as a 5* rating Home Advisor Pro that specialized in roofing and siding. He was initially hired to do my siding on an agreed amount of $12,485.00 After my 10% HA discount and 10% 1st Spring call. He then offered to make it an even $12,000. If I paid cash. I was currently working with another contractor inside my home. And was planning on having that contractor whom I was very happy with replace my front door and make my closet area, into a mud room. Mr. Dailey went to great lengths to get me to add that project to the siding, by making me an offer I couldn’t refuse. And representing himself to be a God fearing man. All 3 projects were to be done for $13,900. (I purchased all the materials separately; front door, flooring, paint, light fixtures, doorbells, house numbers, and stone siding) The contract was signed on 3/24/17. Along with a down payment of $5000.cash To be as brief as possible; And to strictly stick with only the work I’m complaining about; because Mr. Dailey is a fast sweet talker and decided I needed much more done on my home. After starting my contract Mr. Dailey obtained a lot of work from the sign in front of my home. He kept leaving me to do work for others. He took his best men and unbeknownst to me at the time left me with a crew of men that had never done siding before. And an electrician who did not know what he was doing. I say this because he had to redo it 3 times and then, the foreman Josh) ended up fixing it. So to start: 2 days after all work was completed and Mr. Dailey was paid in full. The light stopped working. I reached out to him 7 times via text. He replied that they would come fix it. After no communication at all from Mr. Dailey for 6 weeks I reached out to an electrician I met and he came right over and fixed it, and only charged me $50.00. Also per the contract I was supposed to be supplied with a lifetime transferable warranty for the supreme siding I purchased. I never had any more communication with Mr. Dailey. I brushed it off and washed my hands of the whole ordeal. I didn’t write a review of any kind nor communicated with him again. At the very beginning of Spring I went outside to start draining my pool and saw that there was vinyl trim all over the yard. I had purchased Ultimate Charter Oak Siding System . ( Never fades, chips, cracks, rots, shrinks, dings, or swells and can withstand the intensity of category 5 hurricane winds) So you can imagine my surprise. I reached out to Mr. Dailey, but received no response. I assumed this was going to be a repeat of the light fixture ordeal. So, on 4/18/18 I reached out to Home Advisor for assistance. They said in order to assist me I would have to write a review. So initally I had them write “I would not recommend”. They reached out to Mr. Dailey and then I got a response. First via text, then a phone call. He screamed at me, used foul language, asked me how I could do such a thing knowing this was how he fed his family, and added that since I paid him in cash, as far as he was concerned the job DID NOT EXIST. He also advised me that they no longer did roofing or siding. Mr. Dailey then sent out his foreman to put the trim back on. However, on 6/1/18 I found pieces of siding laying on the ground. I again reached out to Home Advisor for assistance. Mr. Dailey ignored them and they removed him from their lists of Pros. He called them irate and promised he would reach out to me to make it right. But never did. Per the contracts for the siding I was to receive a lifetime transferable warranty upon completion. Along with the 15 year warranty upon completion of the roof. Neither warranty was supplied to me. Home Advisor has not and will not reinstate him to their lists of Pros. I then had another pro come out on 6/18/18 to give me an estimate to repair the vinyl that had fallen off and look over the entire house for any other problems that may exist. Of which they found many, and advised the warranty would be no good if the installation wasn't done properly. They started work today 7/23/18. Mr. Dailey has had all this time to contact me and come out to make things right, if he was a man of his word and stood behind his work. I am going to have to pay them out of pocket for their services and this should not be on me. Mr. Dailey should pay for the siding that was not installed properly to be fixed, and for what has fallen off to be repaired or replaced.
