ARandall Structural Engineering
Mr. Randall was very responsive to my call and came out the next day. He inspected all the cracks and other areas of my home and told me that it wasn't a structural issue. In some cases it was just cracks where drywall joints met that due to expansion and contraction of the home caused these hairline cracks. He even gave me instructions on how to fix them with a silicon caulk. Because it wasn't a structural problem there was no cost. He was very professional and took the time to check more than just where the cracks were to insure my structure was sound.

AWALLA ENGINEERING LTD
Fantastic I found Walla engineering on Angie's list after an easy search They were very responsive The engineer, Jeremy, was prompt, easy to communicate with and got the drawings done as promised on time The City then had to approve the wall design and provide a permit, they were happy with the design and gave me a permit with very few questions asked My job was not that big yet I felt treated like a contractor on a large job :) I recommend Walla engineering without hesitation

DCONSTRUCTION ANALYTICS
Despite being a structural engineer, Mr. Levine asked me what to examine. I pointed out a few issues the previous inspector had noted. He looked closely at these, and a few possible others, but took no notes. After about 40 minutes of inspecting, he billed me for a shocking 3.75 hours (at $154/hr). He said this was because he drove from Santa Fe (a 55 minute drive from the site, at speed limit). He provided no written report or documentation of the inspection (except the bill). On top of this, he began phoning my home number at around 9pm to demand payment 6 days after the inspection (I sent payment via Bank of America electronic bill pay the day following the inspection, and sent him proof of that). This firm, and in particular this inspector/engineer do not conduct business in a professional, honest, or cordial way, and I would not recommend them.

Jeremy is GREAT!   I contacted my roofer to come out and look at the roof I had put on February of 2014. I started to hear unusual noises coming from the roof that travel the length of my house.  The noises I hear are loud,  popping, and creaking; a little different than simply settling, I thought.  The roofing consultant was very concerned and recommended I contact a well-known structural engineering firm.  (I am still waiting for a call back; seven days later.) I contacted Jeremy. of Randall Structural Engineering  He answered the phone promptly, he set up a time for the same day.  He arrived right on time. Jeremy visually evaluated the inside, outside, and the attic area of my home.  He was polite, extremely knowledgeable, and I found him to be trustworthy.   I offered to pay him for his time and effort; he did not know that I would have paid, gladly, for the comfort that he provided in knowing that my home is sound.  This is all I needed.   I recommend him to anyone, and he will be the first I call if ever I need to utilize his services in the future. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

AHandyman Carpenters & Propane Maintenance
The work described above is the completion of building a basement under a pre-existing summer home in the mountains of northern New Mexico. Prior to this work, all other work (initial building of the structure in 1971, all interior finishing work, insulating, wiring, plumbing, etc, and then excavating under that existing building while holding it up with jacks, and building the basement walls, installing windows, doors, plumbing and electrical) had been done by me. As you may imagine, my standards are very high (I grew up in a family of general contractors in another part of the country) So, with that background, I can knowledgeably and confidently state that the work performed by Juan Baca and his crew was performed very professionally (exceeding all my expectations for quality) and considerably below my cost estimate. His work schedule was timely and efficiently executed. I am very pleased and proud of the work he did!
