Business Description: We have a full division of technicians who are dedicated to superior crawl space encapsulation and who professionally install dehumidifiers that will provide you with a bright, dry and usable crawl space. We know firsthand the trauma a home owner goes through when a basement is flooded or when they experience leaky walls created by heavy rain or a failed sump pump. Taking on water is even worse when it happens to a newly finished basement.
Recent Review: Aaron is great!! On my initial phone call, he gave me his ear and his input - going through several possible solutions for my issue. He really knows his stuff. He was all about solving my issue and not selling me products or taking me down an unnecessary and expensive route. He made himself available to come out and see my crawl space problem quickly. He was on time and was calm and reassuring that there was a solution to the dampness. Aaron installed a dehumidifier/fan unit and inspected our French drains to ensure they were in working condition. Other professionals I had called prior either outright refused to work in my crawl space or inflated the price. Aaron did not shy away from the job. He diagnosed the problem, offered a reasonable solution and got the job done. He is a lifesaver! I cannot recommend him enough. A++
Recent Review: The company was very responsive and we had an appointment for an estimate with Mitch Weiss within a day. We were at the estimate-gathering phase of our project and had been told by another contractor (who had installed a replacement sump-pump in that crawl-space) that the space was in a condition that needed action soon (which they would provide for around $5000). Meeting Mitch was truly a pleasure, we discussed the crawl-space, its condition and what action we would need. He told us that he could sell us something but that he would not be able to sleep at night because our crawl space was in good condition and didn't need any waterproofing (the only thing we might want to think of at some stage might be replacing the current standard insulation mats with moisture-repelling ones). He talked us through what he saw and under which conditions action would be needed (should they ever occur). We were deeply impressed with this level of honesty. Despite not using Scaldino right now (as no action is needed), Mitch's honesty and professionalism has won us over and they will be the first ones we will call if we need a basement waterproofing job done.

Recent Review: A week after I signed the contract, the United Waterproofing crew came and removed the old pump, dug up and enlarged the pit, installed a new pump and a battery back-up pump, and redirected the discharge line. The crew was professional, courteous, and completed the job in a timely manner and cleaned up the crawl space after. The pumps have been working flawlessly ever since -- a big relief given that weather has been fairly on the wet side. United Waterproofing did an outstanding job and the price was reasonable (actually a few hundred dollars cheaper than another quote from a much larger, well-known company). I would definitely hire UW again.
Business Description: Jersey Shore Home Moisture Management is a company dedicated to educating homeowners about the steps they can take to make their homes healthier and about the environmental significance of lessening & controlling the level of moisture that is allowed to enter their crawlspaces and basements. For this reason we refer to ourselves as Crawlspace Enhancement Specialists. Numerous studies and reports suggest that over 50% of the air a family breathes originates in the home’s crawlspace or basement. Healthier air means healthier family members. Our technicians are trained in today’s highest industry standards for combating high levels of moisture and humidity, both of which promote unhealthy mold and mildew growth, and for treating effected areas of a neglected crawlspace when mold and mildew is found to have already colonized.
Recent Review: Like most shore houses post-Sandy, we needed to make some remediation of our crawl space. We did a lot of due diligence and sought several estimates. Even though Quality 1st Basement was a bit higher in overall cost, we decided to go with the adage, "You get what you pay for"; especially when you consider we are dealing with the foundation of the house and not some other arbitrary detail like crown molding or drywall. One service we sought an estimate from actually charged us $99.00 for an estimate, calling it a 'survey and review' and said we could apply that amount to the purchase price if we chose to use them. That particular service was unprofessional, gave us a handwritten estimate on a form letter and then told us we had mold and that it would cost $1300 to remove; meanwhile, the estimator only stuck his head in the crawl space, along with some instrument connected to his iPhone and made that diagnosis - altogether that was one big red flag. His estimate for calculating square footage of our crawl space was also much greater than what Mike from 1st Quality and another engineer had given us. It begged the question, how can you give an estimate for cleaning and removing mold if you haven't looked in the entire crawl space? Again, you get what you pay for! Mike J. from 1st Quality, along with Jose and his crew who did the work were professionals from start to finish and worked with us and our budget. I would recommend using 1st Quality even if their price is higher; ask them to itemize and price out all the options they offer, they will gladly work with you.
Pleasant, professional & personable. David pays attention to detail & advises throughout the inspection roof to crawl space.

Mark was very punctual to the appointment & he went up to the roof, basement, crawling space, yard and of course the rest of the house. He was very detailed in his explanations of the inspection. I highly recommend him and would not think twice to have him inspect another house either for myself, friends or relatives.

Mark was very polite on the phone but seemed rushed when performing the inspection. He did not go on the roof or enter the crawl spaces. Overal I would give him a C+.

Tommy was great, he showed up early and did a thorough walk through of the house with us. Tommy explained every detail to make sure we understood everything he would be putting into the report. The entire walk through took about 1.5 hours. Tommy took many pictures and assembled all his notes into a detailed report that we received 24 hours after the inspection. Tommy even crawled through a tiny crawl space opening (had to get on his hands) so that he could inspect the entire crawl space. We really like working with Tommy and would use him again for future home inspections.

The inspection went well. David with Vitale Inspection Services showed up promptly at the scheduled time and went above and beyond what I thought the service would bring. Everything in the home was inspected thoroughly including the attic, crawl space, living quarters, roof, foundation, windows, doors, outlets, switches, appliances and more. The final report was received within 24 hrs and was instrumental in helping us decide on the purchase of the home.

It went great! Dev was our inspector and he showed up on schedule. He spent over 3 hours inspecting a home we are buying. He was meticulous and thorough in his inspection, even crawling under the house into 2 separate crawl spaces to examine the structure. He made some good suggestions and put our minds at ease over some issues. I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking a home inspection.

I would highly recommend Frank for your Home inspection. He is very professional and thorough in his inspection. I am a first time home buyer and he explained the whole inspection process even before he began. He went up the roof, attic and the crawl space for a detailed inspection. He answered all of our questions and was very forthcoming in providing me more details and tips. He also did the Termite and Radon inspection as well. Got a detailed inspection report with all the photos the next day. During our initial inspection we did not have access to a crawl space because of a jammed window. Frank offered to come back the following week and look at it free of charge. I am very happy and pleased to have hired Frank for the home inspection. Thanks very much for all the help, Frank.

Everything was done perfectly. Mark has an outstanding attention to detail. He climbs into the creepy attics and slides into the dark crawl spaces without hesitation because he wants to look at every inch of the foundation.
