Business Description: I am the Owner of Tony's Interior and Exterior painting. I started painting in the summer of 85 as a High School Project, I fell love with it. This was our 3rd time using Jim Byrd's services. Jim was the sub who both dry-walled and finished our ceilings during initial construction. Two years ago when we had major water damage, Jim was the one who I called to repair the drywall and re-finish our ceilings again. He did a fantastic job, just as he did the first time. This most recent job was due to drywall damage created by our fiber optic installer. Knowing both his excellent work and professionalism, Jim was the only one who I wanted to repair the damage. Once again, he did a beautiful job....repairing the wall so that it looked like new. Not only is Jim an excellent drywaller, but he is always friendly and someone who you feel completely comfortable to allow into your home. He arrives on time and never leaves you hanging. Jim is very fairly priced, honest, cleans up after his job, and is very conscientious. He is a 2nd generation drywaller and I highly recommend him for new construction, repairs, and ceilings.

Wayne did a good job-no qualifications! He impressed me as an honest man who does what one has to do in his profession: multi-task several jobs. While he is a small business, he has friends and family that he uses to supplement his capabilities. Wayne's work is top-notch. His "helper's" work was good or better. I recommend this man's work.

The owner had two men in the area who came the day we called. They took pictures, videos and measurements. Told us we should get an estimate by the end of the week, about 4 days. Didn't hear anything in a week, called and left a voicemail, no response. Called again, now two weeks left another voicemail, nothing. It's now three weeks and nothing. If he couldn't do the job I wish he would of said so we could have found someone else three weeks ago.

I was very nervous because I have spent a lot of money on a small bathroom remodel, and I know how difficult it is to tape and mud, and the finished product can make or break the look of the room. They did an amazing job! Over 30 years of experience in drywall and he was meticulous. Hire them if you need good work done! I will definitely hire them again for a few other little projects. Great work, and priced right!!

Kevin McMahan ad his helper Morris were excellent. They did a great job on the wallboard installation and they took great care minimizing the mess. I have used them before on s drywall repair job and would not hesitate to hire them again. Courteous, honest and very reasonable.

Contacted Wayne and he was prepared to start work the very next day. He and two other crew members arrived about 8am as promised and promptly commenced ripping out old drywall. The job was slower than anticipated since the drywall had been over-nailed to the studs and proved time-consuming and messy to remove. The new drywall [about 300 sq feet] was cut and nailed into place, followed by taping. The next three mornings, [Wayne was willing to work over the weekend at no extra charge], were spent applying joint compound and two sanding sessions. The final job was performed by his cleaning personnel who were excellent at removing all traces of drywall dust and dried joint compound. Overall Wayne and his crew did a very consciencious job to a most satisfactory standard. I intend to ask Wayne to carry out further work on my house.

I hired Barry Thompson of Thompson’s Drywall to drywall the room over my garage and the stairwell leading to the room. Late in the day on Friday after a week on the job, Barry considered his work done. I inspected the job as best I could with the limited light available (Barry brought no lights to the job). He assured me that he would come back to fix anything that wasn’t right. Feeling that he was a stand-up guy, I paid him and he was out the door. About a week later, I found many areas that needed to be reworked. I tried several times to contact Barry, but was unable to reach him. He also did not respond to the voicemail messages I left. After several weeks went by, I decided to do the work in the main room myself, so I could continue with the project. However, repairs were still needed in the stairwell. I finally got in touch with Barry a few months later, and he agreed to come out and do the repairs. However, he never showed up and never called to reschedule. For the next several months I made numerous calls to Barry’s mobile and landline phone, but get only his voicemail. And again, he hasn’t responded to any of my messages. It has now been over a year since he did the original work, and he’s yet to do the repair work.

In our initial interview with this licensed contractor we found that he had great ideas and we left the job entirely up to him - was GREAT!!!!!

Mike was very friendly and professional. He arrived on time for both the estimate and the job. He readily agreed to work within our narrow time range. He completed the job within 8 hours and was very efficient. The room looks great--all the edging is perfect and the repair work is invisible. I highly recommend him for this type of job.
