Recent Review: 1. Dion showed us a brochure from GW Trapp Company, but the door that was installed was from Fox Weldoor. He pulled the same thing with a neighbor across the street, and another 4 houses down in my new home community. My neighbor across the street refuses to order from him now, and the neighbor 4 houses down cancelled the lay away deposit check they gave him that day after to talking to us about what we have gone through. 2. We paid for the door IN FULL. We were told that it would get there in 2-3 weeks. We ordered the door on June 1, 2014, and the door wasn't installed until middle to end of July 2014!! 3. The door was not installed by Dion himself, but a 3rd party general contractor. The contractor was supposed to be at our house between 6-8 pm on the Friday it was installed. He didn't show up until 9:30 pm - we were at our neighbor's house across the street waiting for him to show up... 4. The door was the WRONG DOOR!! We called Dion the next day (Saturday after it was installed) to ask why this happened, and why we were given the wrong door. Dion came up with the excuse that he is no longer doing business with GW Trapp Company, that GW Trapp was being bought out by Fox Weldoor, and that he will have Fox Weldoor custom make the door we really wanted. 5. When threatening him to call back with the option of giving us our money back and taking the door back, giving us half off the door that we didn't order, or getting us the door we want, he finally called back a little belligerent. I explained to him that we can go to the BBB or small claims and settle this. He told me that me that he would make things right and get us the door we wanted, even it it had to be custom made, at NO additional cost to us. I told him that to honor his agreement to make things right, he would have to call us every week with a status update on the build of the new door. He called and left a message on Friday, August 15 with an update that it was being built, but we haven't heard from him since. 6. The contact information in this posting on Angie's List is WRONG. He is not at that address per the order form he filled out and gave to us. 7. We have told the sales agent for our community about his bad dealings, and she is notifying other residents to steer clear of him. If he tells you that he knows the sales agents, don't believe him!! He doesn't know any of the sales agents in our new home community... 8. He works for DirectTV, and does this job on the side. This is not a full-time business for him. When you call him, it will either go to voicemail, or to this "answering service". We figured since he works for DirectTV, he must be an upstanding guy. Not the case, it seems.
