Recent Review: It has been an absolute pleasure to have Mark and his crew (Carlos, Dean, etc) working on our house. We purchased a 1970s home that needed a LOT of work, including complete siding replacement, roof replacement, remodel bathrooms, demo areas damaged by pets, replacing doors, drywall, the list goes on. We had a multi-month time-frame to finish all these projects while a separate renovation was being done in the kitchen. Mark was fantastic. He communicated regularly with calls, texts and emails to let me know how things were going, what they were doing one week and what the next and he kept an eye out for our interests since we were not yet living in the house. There are always surprises in an older home and Mark was always willing to talk through the best way to handle them to get them done correctly so we do not have to worry about them again. He will always tell you what he's best at and what he isn't, and recommend someone who is the best if it's not him for that particular job. With the new siding, paint, roof, the house has gone through an entire exterior facelift. It is almost unrecognizable and if I hadn't seen the days and days of work and the slow evolution, I wouldn't know it was the same house. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mark and Triangle Renovations to anyone. I've told him he has to let me know when he is planning retire so I can make sure to get him to do any projects I have lingering.

Recent Review: Justin was able to schedule the work almost immediately (in fact I had to push it out because I wasn't ready), which is great. The team of three-five workers finished the job in three days, even though they had to suspend work at noon on the second day because of rain. All of them were very friendly and professional, e.g. asking permission to use the microwave to prepare their lunch, or use the guest bathroom. The work was done well, and to my satisfaction.  They told me in advance that, because I was only replacing some of the door frame pieces, the new wood, even after staining, might not perfectly match the 22-year old wood, and I accepted that.  Still, they did their best by sanding down the entire door frame and restaining it all, at no extra cost.  The difference in color of the new wood is noticeable to me, but not to my neighbor who didn't know which pieces had been replaced.  So, again, totally satisfied. The same warning about not perfectly matching was given about the external siding replaced, but I had them restain the entire garage door surface (not including the metal doors), and the match looks perfect to me.  Results better than expected. They made two minor mistakes, not in the work, but in putting everything back the way it was.  One was forgetting to reinsert the washer drain hose into the drain, when they moved the clothes washer back into place, resulting in a load of water on the floor the first time I ran it.  Easily cleaned up with towels, and no damage to the vinyl floor.  Other mistake was leaving the outdoor faucet turned on (but the sprayer head of the attached hose was closed, so this wasn't visible).  It got below freezing and the water in the hose froze, but no apparent damage to the outdoor faucet. Finally, I had a little trim piece that I had to remove from the floor when I installed a slightly larger refrigerator, and I asked them if they could please cut it down to fit and put it back on.  This was not in the original quote but they were happy to do this small job, which I thought was the sign of a company that wants to please the customer. I would not hesitate to use this service again.  This was one of my best experiences with a contractor for this sort of work.

Recent Review: It went really well. John was always prompt, honest, and contacted and met with others who had to do some work on the house (this really helped since it is a vacation home and we don't live in the area.) He and his crew were very professional, friendly, and quite good at what they do. It was a very good experience overall and a pleasure doing business with Sandy Run Construction. I absolutely will seek out this company again if the need arises.

Recent Review: Overall, it was a positive experience, but not without issues. The real issue is communication between the salesman and the crew. You need to have the salesman detail out everything you want done line by line. Do you want hand painted or air sprayed. Be specific on number of boards to replace, # of areas of rotten wood to repair, trim, doors etc. I almost fired them into Day 4 of painting, but the company in the end stood behind what they said they would do and made everything right after 12 tough days of work. I did not have to pay until I was satisfied. They also did a good job honoring the 5-year warranty and sent out an employee who spent a full day making everything look great! Also, most of their crews do not speak English, which is frustrating. I had many estimates for these projects and this company's price could not be beat.

Recent Review: We could not have found a better person to meet our needs. Shamus is an excellent Handy Man skilled in many areas and if he is unsure takes the time to study up or knows his limits and gives the names of very good professionals in the area that are reasonably priced, fair and honest. He is very easy to work with. Listens to the customer and gives them what they ask for if possible. He is also willing to share his expertise and make suggestions if he feels something may not work as well as expected due to age, design, etc. His prices are so reasonable. We have paid twice as much or more for the same quality of work or less. He works constantly and does not waste time. He takes a lunch break or a short rest break and does not charge for that time. You always know where he is and what he is doing. He keeps the customer up to date and well informed as to progress or problems. He knows just about every one in the repair industry in the area. I just can't express the satisfaction we have with regard to hiring Shamus for the work we need done. The painting he did is absolutely beautiful. The floors look great. The bathroom is beautiful. No drips, leaks, cracks in tile. The vanity was installed so nicely. Everything is perfect and the Sauna is a perfect fit. Just can't say enough about him. He will be coming in the Spring to calk and paint our house and whatever else needs to be done. Would not even consider anyone else. You shouldn't either.

Recent Review: Scope of Project was expanded as underlying problems were discovered.  Previous owners had not correctly repaired water caused damage. Example(s): 1) Man door to Tack Room in garage was found to have been repaired with a large quantity of wood filler and painted over to cover rotted wood on door frame and did nothing to address the cause.  2) Leaky window problem in the Tack Room had been covered up by weather stripping.  3)  The Shed had a lot of rotting wood covered over by siding, this was discovered when the rotted  corner frame 4x4's were being replaced.

We called Randy for a third estimate at the recommendation from a friend for which he had done work. He came at the appointed time , very polite and asked detailed questions about what we wanted and came back in about 3 days with an estimate. We thought the estimate was very fair and honest so we told him to go ahead with the job.  He wrote up the detailed contract with a progressive payment plan. Randy and his team started working  soon after. This was in July . First they started removing the deck and then the 2 layers of old siding and hauled it away, as they removed one wall of siding they started installing the new siding. Mean while they dug the footings for the new room and bricked in the foundation. From there the frame, roof , windows, electricity, heating and air, walls, tile, trim, paint and we have a finished room, while this was going on a brick and concrete ramp and small porch were built and our old roof was replaced, gutters added and new shutters. This whole process took approximately 4 months. WE ARE VERY  HAPPY WITH THE FINISHED PROJECT AND WILL CALL RANDY AND HIS CREW FOR ANY FUTURE REMODELING OR REPAIR. I MUST ADD THAT ALL OF THE CREW WERE FRIENDLY,CORTEOUS, HELPFUL AND EXTREMELY TALENTED.
