Recent Review: The scope of work was huge! Piedmont Property Solutions were a Godsend! We decided on 8/23/18 to remove all of the popcorn ceiling paint in 10 rooms, closets, including hallways as well as to have each room painted using 5 different colors of paint. I met with Mr. John Vernon on 8/24/18 to discuss the scope of work and I returned to Maryland to prepare for my move. On 8/25/18 Mr. Vernon responded with a bid for the work, I told him who held a key and he drove to that location to pick up a key to enter the property. By 8/26/18 he had a crew in the house, removing the popcorn ceiling. We communicated via, text, phone, photos, email and I sent him the paint specifications. We discussed the new tub, vanity, shower, flooring and I respected his judgement enough to allow him the flexibility be creative. All of our furniture and boxes arrived on 9/2/18. When we came into the house, all of the popcorn ceilings were gone and every room was painted. This was amazing considering how quick it was done. They returned to do a walk through with me and did touch ups where I requested. It is a large space and very little was missed. They will have the master bathroom completed by the end of this week. What can I say! I’m new to NC, someone who did my gutters referred me to Piedmont Property Solutions and I would have never imagined the speed, professionalism and quality of work that has been performed. I look forward to writing more when the bathroom is done and I am sitting in the new soaking tub, candle burning and a little music topped off with a nice Pinot Grigio. If you are looking for someone you can trust, someone who cares about the quality of work they do, someone who will work with you, someone who gets the job done - there is no question that you consider Piedmont Property Solutions. Oh, today they sent out a cleaner who wiped down windowsills, stainless steel, floors, vacuumed, mopped, to help us get the place together. Now, if only they helped to unpack the boxes. :-) I am receiving an estimate later today to have the basement refinished, cement work on ground floor near deck, a hot tub, and later to have window shutters and more. I look forward to the future and our relationship with Piedmont Property Solutions. Thank you.

Recent Review: Tom responded to our request in a timely manner. He initially gave us a heads up on his actual work availability due to the fact he was out of town helping with hurricane cleanup. We waited. After we resumed communication, he was able to get on the project quickly. The house involved is a mountain home where we were not present at the time. Texted photos aided his evaluation of the necessary tools plus a detailed phone discussion of directions (home not on GPS correctly), codes to enter house, etc. He had no problems with any of these. That in itself was impressive based on previous experience. He was able to complete the project quickly despite weather and terrain issues. Most importantly the results were great. Nice work! Very professional,

Recent Review: First, let me say that Eric's team not only did a great job, they probably saved me several thousand dollars. We just bought a house as rental property, and knew we'd need several major jobs done.  Eric gave us a better deal by doing them all at once. The old deck was falling apart and not to code, since it was just screwed to the house and not secured to the house framing.  Eric used new technology that meets code and allows the deck to be installed without tearing out the ceiling inside the house.  The new deck is strong enough to have gorillas jump on it and still be safe.  We went with composite boards to make the deck last longer and reduce maintenance. Now we don't lose rent on the lower unit while the deck is installed, and the upstairs tenants are safe on the deck. Water was draining down a hill right up to the house walls, so Handyman Xpress dug the trench, put in the French drain both above and to the side of the house to prevent water damage to the foundation, and replaced an old leaky downspout with a new one.  This area was not accessible by vehicle, so it had to be dug by hand in the cold, hard ground in January. There had been a leak behind the shower in the lower bathroom.  The entire wall, surrounding tile, and cast iron tub had to be removed down to the studs, as well as 2 sinks. Then  sheet rock, a new tub, new surround, new wall with water resistant drywall, replacement tiles for wall beside the tub, and paint were used to fix the tub/shower.  The previous owner(s) had used galvanized pipes and jerry-rigged techniques that resulted in leaks and probable future problems. Eric's crew arranged to have the plumbing issues resolved preemptively.  All the fixtures were updated and the bathroom was painted.  Additionally, there were several things we needed done that had not originally been on the list for Eric. We needed a broken window in the garage door replaced, and had them use plexiglass instead of ordinary glass. Looks great and is sturdier as well. There were 2 broken cabinets in the kitchen and a broken medicine cabinet in another bathroom that was replaced. The dropped ceiling over the upstairs shower was falling, and they repaired that as well. The crew also added a couple of bars, hooks, and towel racks in the bathroom.  The team was very willing to do these as well. Overall, everyone with Handyman Xpress was polite, friendly, courteous, patient, and professional. (Sounds like a Boy Scout troop, but it's true).

It went amazing! I can’t say enough about Piedmont Property Solutions! They are a Godsend. We purchased a house in NC and decided at the last minute that we did not want to live with popcorn ceilings, the color of paint, the master bedroom, floor, tub, shower and vanity. Bottom line, we wanted a remodeled bathroom, popcorn ceilings removed and the house painted before we moved in. I was referred to John Vernon during the first week of August by someone doing some other work for me. We talked over the phone as I was in Maryland to provide an idea of what I wanted and we met on 8/24/18 at my home in Yadkinville. I was surprised to receive an estimate early on Saturday morning 8/25. I was impressed and managed to contact the real estate agent and the previous owner and John arranged to meet them to pick up a key to have access to the house. This is what blew me away: Piedmont Property Solutions had a crew in the house Sunday. When I arrived on 9/1/18 and the trucks came in with all of the furniture on Sun 9/2/18 - all of the popcorn ceilings were gone, the house was painted, the bathroom demo was done and the tile work had begun. Today as I now sit in the house 9/10/18 - all of the painting is done, the popcorn ceilings are gone, the vanity and toilet is in, the shower has been tiled and the new tub is enroute. It was great to be able to have all of this done before furniture came in. I took it one step further and asked if Piedmont Property Solutions could squeeze in a white wash of the brick on the entire fireplace before we returned from closing on the 7th and wow! It was done! What am I saying: if you want a company who will go the extra 5 miles, a company you can trust, a company that follows through, has a sense of quality and professionalism, reachable, creative and flexible: I would highly recommend Piedmont Property Solutions. I am having them now provide an estimate to finish the basement (floors, bathroom, ceilings, French doors, electric and so much more). Suffice it to say, I am grateful and completely satisfied with the work. I felt comfortable enough to allow John to apply his creative hand to the process. This has been a very positive process. I will write more once I am sitting in the soaking tub, listening to some nice music, candles burning and enjoying my new bathroom. Unbelievable???? I appreciate John and his crew for coming through when we really needed it.

FScottie's Handyman and Home Repair
We hired him based on good reviews on Angie's List.  He started on April 11th, but he will not finish and has left the job in limbo.  He has been here a total of 4 times, but has not worked more than 8 hours total.  I called him on May 5th, left a message and he returned my called and he called back and assured me he would be here on May 7th.  On May 7th, he did not show up again and I cannot contact him at any of the 4 different telephone numbers I have.  Our signed contract of April 1st, stated he would fulfill all work contracted at $1,371.50.  We agreed to pay half at the start and the other half after the work was done.  He had already cashed the check.  He came out on April 11th and stayed for about an hour.  He has scraped down part of the ceiling in the basement and left a mess.  He has also torn out screens on the porch and left a mess.  He seems to be full of excuses.

Everything started out very well..but "what a difference a day makes"..or in this case a crew makes.  WE purchased 2 Angie Deals.  The first crew came in to repair ceiling drywall, just so outstanding, covered everything, taped walking areas with mats, did excellent job of drywall, cleaned up everything, swept very professional.  Based on that experience we went ahead with additional repairs tile work, painting, installing thresholds...but we had a different crew.  They rescheduled a day mid project, failed to let us know, we lost day of leave as a result.  The supervisor came in after the crew, talked on the phone most of the time, and the work itself was just sloppy. As an example they did an attic pull down repair including painting and then closed the attic, which of course wasn't dry and stuck, had to be preyed open ruining all the repainting that was just done. AND the clean-up...the grout, paint brushes, cut tile remnants were "disposed of" on our patio, trash left there as well.  Well the job got done, We complained to the owner and he was indeed responsive.  Came by to see the job and offered remedies but never once apologized and just justified the work done.  Then the bill came and was different than quoted and time of supervisors on job included his time on phone.  I will say in all fairness and respect JW corrected the mis-billing, tried to correct the sloppy work and that I am sure if you got the first crew we had you would be VERY pleased.
