Recent Review: He is very nice, works slow, charged for time spent to get supplies which was unreasonable (30 min & the store was .5 miles away) & would not explain charge for materials he supplied.  I had purchased all but 1 item @ 5.99 & he charged me $30.  He was offended when I questioned the charge.  Does not make appointments, just calls when he has free time & is usually 5 minutes away.  Took over 1 month to get a project done.  Charges by the hour which explains the slowness.  The 1st time I was pleased with what was done & what I had to pay.  He has not contacted me again for work since I questioned his charges which makes me wonder about him.

Recent Review: This business responded promptly to all of our questions concerning the replacement of our doors and the materials best suited for  their construction. To begin with let me say that my wife and I have a number of items needing replacement in our 22 year old Double Wide. The owner came out  to our house and measured our doors and windows while also discussing a large stoop or small deck needed out back. Later that afternoon he called with the two estimates, one for the doors and one for the windows, so we could decide the best route to take in their replacement. By the way, I was not charged a cent for the appraisals! We began we the replacement of the two doors. The two gentlemen sent out to do the work could not have been better.......Just one instance of how these guys went above and beyond. I bought two door knob and deadbolt sets at Lowes Home Improvement. Naturally one of the sets I purchased was incorrect which was not discovered until the job was near completion. Since I am disabled I do not drive and I knew I would have to go out that evening with my wife after she got home from work to replace the wrong lock. Then I would have to install the knob and deadbolt myself. Well, I was so very wrong! The guys took my wrong parts repackaged them, returned and exchanged them on their own time. This was nearly an hour round trip, yet  they did it, drove back and installed the correct parts without me ever asking them for their much needed help. How great was this service!!!!!!! Thank you guys so much, Larry McKirahan

Recent Review: Eric Snyder's Handyman Express is a good business to deal with.  He beats almost any quoted price from others in his line of work.I got 5 bids on my roof 2 years ago and his was the lowest.  Quotes ranged from $4,000 to $7,000. He also painted my house for less than anyone else. I have also used him to work on the local community center.

Recent Review: I have 2 decks, one in front and a larger one off the upper part of the house in the back. One of the decks had been painted and one stained, one was red and one brown. I had just purchased the home and it was obvious the decks had not been treated for quite some time. When Chris came out to estimate the job he was the only one to include sanding the wood on both decks as well as pressure cleaning before he put any product on the wood. I also wanted a section of the upper deck screened in which required building a partition with a screen door for access. While he was working on the stairs leading up to the second story deck he noticed that the stair landing was separating from the wall, he brought that to my attention and was able to repair it. I also had him move a storm door from the upper deck, at the kitchen, to the basement entry door and when he was doing that he noticed that the kitchen door was not plumb in the frame he was also able to fix that for an additional, but fair, charge. I am very happy with the completed project and have received compliments on my "new" decks and the screened in "room". I would recommend Chris and would use him for future projects.

Recent Review: Caulked storm door which took 30 minutes.  Then gave estimate on removing tiles in bathroom 5 minutes.  Charged me $40.00 for 35 minutes of work.  Went to my son's house (3 minutes away) and fixed bi-fold doors in two closets and one small closet downstairs.  Charged me another $30.00 for a total of $70.00.  The cost at my son's was ok but I feel I was overcharged for the storm door at my home.  I called after he left and he told me he charges $40.00 an hour.  The cost at my son's was $30.00 for 3/4 of an hour and I was charged $40 for 30 minutes.  I gave him cash and was not given a receipt for any of the items paid for.  I feel the charge for my son's work was ok but I feel I was overcharged for the storm door.

Recent Review: Scope of Project was expanded as underlying problems were discovered.  Previous owners had not correctly repaired water caused damage. Example(s): 1) Man door to Tack Room in garage was found to have been repaired with a large quantity of wood filler and painted over to cover rotted wood on door frame and did nothing to address the cause.  2) Leaky window problem in the Tack Room had been covered up by weather stripping.  3)  The Shed had a lot of rotting wood covered over by siding, this was discovered when the rotted  corner frame 4x4's were being replaced.

I live in a log hse, did not heed my warning about structure (things not vertical).  Did a sloppy job with caulk on both doors.  Storm door replaced 3 times, still cannot get the fit right.  Salesman lied about quality of storm door.  Technician told us salesman didn't care, just out for the sale.  Didn't clean storm door glass.  Caulk doesn't match.  Said I did not want glossy, said they had no other.  Such a big company should have caulk.  Pitiful.  I'm stuck.  Could have done better at Lowes with storm door.  Refused to refund my money.

CONTACTED BOB BLANTON TO SEE IF HE COULD HELP ME REPLACE HARDWARE, REMOVED BY PREVIOUS PAINTER, ON STORM DOOR BOB'S COMPANY HAD INSTALLED IN 1989. I FOUND THE HARDWARE LATER THAT DAY (IN ONE OF THOSE SAFE PLACES WE ALL HAVE IN OUR HOME), AND CALLED BOB TO LET HIM KNOW I FOUND THE HARDWARE, BUT NOT THE SCREWS, AND COULD HE TELL ME WHAT SIZE I NEEDED TO AVOID THE EMBARRASSING HARDWARE STORE VISIT WHEN THEY ASK ''WHAT SIZE''. BOB INSISTED THEY COME OUT TO INSTALL THE HARDWARE TO ENSURE CONTINUED SATISFACTION WITH OUR DOOR. BOB BLANTON AND HIS INSTALLER WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY FOR A DOOR INSTALLED 15 YEARS AGO, AND I MUST SAY, IT STILL LOOKS LIKE NEW.

This is my second experience with Tom and it's always a pleasure working with him. I like the fact that he assesses a situation and makes recommendations that never fail to save me money! He's the first person that comes to mind when we need something done!
