Recent Review: Initially the process was very smooth.  They assisted with filing the insurance claim for the hail damage, picking out of the shingles and ordering ans scheduling.  All went very smoothly at first.  The day before the install I received a call from the installation manager to confirm the install the next day.  The installers showed up the next day to install the roof but these were sub-contractors, not Roofing Pro employees which was never mentioned.  This was OK but no one from Roofing Pro ever came by again, ever.  While the installers were working a unexpected and quick moving storm came though and water came into our kitchen damaging part of our ceiling. No one's fault but I had no one to talk to about it.  The rain delayed the installers from finishing during the day so the work went into the night and finished around 9 p.m. in the dark.  To say clean up was less than perfect is being kind.  I found about 20 nails a bunch of nearly whole shingles in my bushes along with paper and plastic wrappers throughout my yard The only contact I had with them after the fact was via email and phone/voice mail.  Good customer service would have been to have come out that night or the next day and to check on the work and verify that everything was completed.  When I complained about the ceiling damage they did not coe out instead sending the sub-contractor out to look into it.  You would think as I owed them about 60% for the remainder of the work they would have come out to get the payment but instead sent me an email asking me to mail it back into them.  I mean, this is 2014, who pay via the USPS? In the end the roof itself was done very well and the quality of that work was very good.  My major complaint is with their customer service.  It just felt like once they had the business I did not matter any longer to them.  Problems will arise and things happen, it is how a company deals with them that defines a good company from a mediocre one.

Recent Review: Called for an estimate. Mr Briggs responded next day. Advised me on what products he considered superior quality. We chose product and color and authorized Mr. Briggs to perform work. He started when he said he would and completed when he said he would. He cleaned up beyond expectations. In addition, he did not need all the material that had been ordered and he credited us for the excess. This company is a family-owned business and Mr. Briggs was on the job all day long to ensure that the workers performed to his expectations. I would whole-heartedly recommend K&K Roofing to anyone looking for a quality job at a reasonable price.

Recent Review: Overall we had a excellent experience with American Craftsmen of NC.  We obtained bids for our new roof from 3 contractors.  Rodney Turner, owner of American Craftsmen of NC, personally came out to measure and give us an estimate of the price.  American Craftsmen was certainly not the cheapest, but over a better price then other competitors.  After contacting several of their previous customers, all of which had glowing reviews, we felt that this family owned company, and Rodney Turner himself, take pride in a job well done.  Some minor issue came up during the reroof but we brought them to Rodney's attention during the installation and these issues were remedied quickly at no additional cost.  At the end of the job the roof looked great and they did a good job on cleanup.  After almost 6 months I can say that there have not been any issues with the new roof and it has held up great after some serious NC downpours.  Great job American Craftsmen of NC!!

Recent Review: Band M owner came out and provided me with the estimate, and discussed several options around the roofing service. I had several contractors come out and give me suggestions on different air circulation options for the roof (which is very important if you want your shingles to last). Band M provided great details on the pros and cons of each approach which allowed me to make the best decision for me. we decided to go with them and contacted the shop to sign the paperwork. When I came in, I asked for samples of material to attached to my roof in order to choose the colors. They were able to help with some of the colors based on some small left over inventory. This was extremly helpfull since my wife had some drastic ideas for color changes and it allowed us to pick a good fit for our house. They order the material and scheduled the day for the roof change. They showed up promptly and started working as soon as the materials showed up. I inspected the materials and went off to work leaving the crew to do their job. Came back at lunch to find my main roof completely stripped with the new bottom layer already installed. The guys were already nailing shingles and the crew of 4 people were working very well ( 1 guys was on the bottom performing clean up, 1 guy on the very top distributing materials and 1 guy on each side of the house nailing shingles). they nailed shingles by hand as the owner did not trust the power controls in nail guns. They worked until 8 pm on the first day and my main roof was completely done and my garage roof was already covered with the tar paper. they came back the second day and finished the job. They did a good job cleaning up and up to today (after 18 months) I only hit 3 nails with my lawnmower tires (I can't imagine anyone being able to capture everything). At the end the roof looked great and 5 other neighbors used them for their roof replacements. Also I asked to keep the excess material which I am happy to say was less than 1 package of shingles (which tealls me I did not pay for any waste).

Recent Review: JBH Roofing removed asphalt shingles, inspected the decking, renail or replace as needed, installing water & Ice shield in vally.  Resealed wall flashing, roof vents, plumbing pipe collars, and removed and replaced damaged siding, cleaning up all debri and hauling it away.  Jason fabricated and installed 24 guage metal roofing over our sunroom approximately 12'X20'. I would hire Jason and his crew for any roofing project residential or commercial, as the workmanship outstanding, paying attention to detail and he came highly recommended. I contacted JBH Roofing late October to get a price on a metal roof for a newly constructed bay window and to also inspect a roof on a rental unit.  Jason responded promptly and priced both jobs very reasonable, the job was detailed and complete with  great pride and personality.

Recent Review: Project went well considering the many challenges faced due to deterioration of the building. Some work which had not had prior authorization as stated in the contract was initiated and completed. This resulted in a higher cost of the project than budgeted. Contractor charged extra for coping which should have been in the roof pricing.

Excellent response time.. Fair price. Mr. Bradley was very personable. He had all the tools he needed so the work went quickly. I had asphalt shingles left from the construction so he was able to match exactly the look of our roof. As a bonus he gave us an inspection of the roof and pronounced all okay with this 14 year-old roof.

l Ress tsomeIt was a disaster from beginning to end. He used a middle man, CCG LLC to order materials and set up the job and it took them over a month after contract signing to get material on the job to start. 90 day contract and when we went to a local bank to sign notarized contract the contractor would not sign a legible signature to the contract or lein  release forms as proved to be the case at each draw.  This proved to be a red flag indication  of a man determined to cheat his customer.  He proved to not be a licensed N. C. contractor but for a 30m contract in N. C. a license for roofing is not required technically.  He insisted on finally starting the job on a bitter cold day with tearing off and immediate installation within one hour and only one employee.  Contractor does no work and does not get on the roof, standing down and yelling at his one employee who does the enormous job at the astounding rate of 4-5 hours maximum work per day which drags on the job forever.  He did use a sub contractor to tea off the old roof and install the sharkskin temporary roof skin which he insisted on which leaks like the most amazing leaks you ever saw and we had damage inside the house he ignored fully saying it is to be expected.  At one point a full 12 inch hole in an old turbine vent pouring gallons of water into the home at the occasion of a big rain and then when a foot of snow arrived you can imagine the disaster his sharkskin temporary provided.  As one employee after another quit and there were never more than two the tension and yelling went on daily and we wondered if they were being paid although we had fronted close to 26 thousand dollars by the time the job was half installed.  Material was daily disappearing and we discovered the contractor was giving the expensive and specialized materials for our job away to employees saying it was scrap and doing this daily.  Contractor had a detailed spec sheet for the manufacturer installation which he was hour by hour ignoring and every detail of installation seemed to fall aside to cheaper alternative and explanation and these included:  only 5000 screws used on whole job when clearly 10000 specified, different clips used which cost $.18 cents each instead of of the $.75 each clip we specified and the spacing of clips moved to one every ten feet instead of one every 2 feet of metal.  No caulking in seams and at eaves, no overlaps of eaves metal, and the 12 cases of caulking for the job never even came on the job along with the 10,000 screws which showed on invoices but never got to the job.  just before a big snow 6 pieces of expensive roofing were laid out in the edge of driveway to be covered up with snow and run over by a truck to be blamed on the owned and as it had gotten covered up with snow who knows who caused it but guess who pays?  Then with every Thursday comes demands for money and we paid $700 draw not required by the contract saying no more until final so contractor pulled off job with no work for weeks after.  We issue 21 day warning of default as contract was to expire.  His response to demand $600 more additional to the contract!  By this time his demeanor so hostile it was impossible to have a constructive conversation and that clearly was his intent and the stress level of trying to do business with this contractor is just not worth the effort.  He insists on everything his way, never reads his contract and certainly never looked at the specifications for the installation which are clear under the manufacturing installation data which are all part of the contract.  So there it is.  If you can read this true review and you still hire Dutch Metal Roofing to do your raised seam roof installation, which at best is an expensive and complex roof project, you have my sympathy.  This is an honest review written by an elderly homeowner who spent a lifetime in construction, is a licensed engineer and retired inspector certified by N. C. and OSHA.  One thing no one should ever do which I did and regret is to hire a contractor who is not licensed in N. C. and who will not sign a legible signature to a contract.  Let him sign first at the notary, watch, and if he does not sign a legible signature at that point.............pick up the contract.......tear it up...........and walk away.

They did an excellent job. The clean-up was also excellent. Communication and pricing with them were very good. They worked with our insurance company regarding the paperwork and did an excellent job with this as well.
