We want to say we were very happy with our designer Paula but that's as far as it goes, BUYER BEWARE! The construction company they use, Thacker Construction, does bad quality work., does not follow plan details and only showed up one or two days a week because of other jobs they were working on at the same time. From day one they were doing things that were not according to the plans. We were constantly having to check our plans and pointing out their mistakes, like: light switches in the wrong place, missing electrical outlets, cabinets hung wrong, a wall that was suppose to have the drywall removed and replaced. Now for the list of bad workmanship: we have wavy walls due to the bad drywall finishing, holes in my walls around water pipe and closet where they didn't put drywall, unfinished tile and grout around my back splash, wrong trim around floor, exhaust fan screws sticking through inside of cabinet, a wall vent that was moved just had tin bent over and not sealed letting my air go up in the wall instead of in my room, under cabinet lighting switches were installed wrong. We felt like we were constantly have to beg for items we paid for in our contract, like: dimmer switch, wanted to give me a cheap wall hook when I paid for a hook to match my fixtures, floor trim, and the wall we paid for to be demo'd and re-drywalled; they just put drywall over the old drywall. They told us to call them if we need something fixed, which we had to do but due to the quality of their work we feet its just better to fix it ourselves.
