Recent Review: This job was one of many things that he has done for us in the last probably 7 years. He has done several things for us - including hanging cabinets in the laundry room, installing tile splash back in the kitchen, repairing deck railing and more. I am always happy with his work and fees.

Recent Review: The project went very well. Like all projects we thought we knew what we wanted, but through discussions with Kliethermes we discovered better ideas to achieve the look and feel we wanted. Kliethermes built moveable walls and at one point I didn't like the way one of the walls looked. I asked them to remove the section, but it would have made the wall immoveable. Their project manager Phil (who has been there for over 30 years) talked me through some ideas that allowed us to keep the wall moveable, yet made it look better. He acted very professional and very patient with me.

Recent Review: Excellent work. Chimney was leaking, bricks were spalling, and the chimney itself was buckling.  Phil took the chimney apart down to about 5 feet and rebuilt it,  Had to match 50 year old bricks and you can hardly tell where the new bricks start.  Added a new, concrete chimney cap and added a new damper on the top of the flue with a chain down into the firebox.. Had a big crack in the bricks on the side of the house where it had settled many years ago.  Rather then just fill in the gap with new mortar, Phil ground out most of the mortar on that side of the house, moved some of the bricks to re-gap the mortar joints and then tuck pointed almost the entire face of the wall.  Did a really good job matching the old mortar to the new. Had a wing/retaining wall where the bricks were spalling.  Phil took the wall down to the ground and rebuilt it. Had a low retaining wall in the front of the house where some of the bricks had broken, the mortar joints had separated, and some spalling.  Removed about half the wall and replaced it with new.  Extended the wall about 6 feet back into the house at my request. Phil is the owner and had 2 people helping him on and off during the project.  Originally talked to Tri-County back in April.  Due to his schedule and our schedule we couldn't start until the middle of July.  The entire project took about 2 weeks due to the extreme heat and the chimney being much harder to demo then he thought. Demoing a chimney naturally creates a lot of debris.  Phil was about to keep the job site relatively clean but did a very good job cleaning up after all of the scaffolding was removed. When I first contacted Tri-County, Phil showed up exactly when he said he would.  We both kept in contact after he gave me his quote to verify when he could start.  Phil showed up when he said he would and informed me when he would not be there (and why).  Excellent job of communications through out the project. If you can't tell, I am very pleased with the work Tri-County did.

Extremely smoothly.  There was a great deal of hand work involved, and the final result was excellent.  I especially liked how collaborative they were, providing suggestions and also listening to our ideas.

Evan is an incredibly hard worker. He brought on a designer, since we were starting from scratch: trying to rehabilitate a landscape devastated by drought and neglect. Great experience. The wall, in particular, together with the natural stone steps are beautiful. He was willing to adjust the designer's plan to suit our budget.

I am so glad I found Evan Tannenbaum. He is super easy to deal with, he is as honest as the day is long, and he does a SUPER! Job. Wish there were more contractors like him.

Frank was referred to me by a neighbor/contractor.  He came out to look over the job within 24 hours.  His quote for labor was quite reasonable, but after he found out how much I was paying for the materials, he took care to move the purchase req into his name so as to receive more discount.  All in all, the total project (for materials and labor) ended up costing me the same as the materials only portion - since I had measured incorrectly and would have purchased much more than I needed.   He and his crew were very aware that my young children were watching and listening to everything..they were very professional in that regard.  Everyone who comes to visit now remarks as to the beautiful stone retaining wall, we call it our island, in the middle of our driveway.  Very nice job and very happy customer indeed!!!

ALock'S Landscape Design
The job met all our expectations and was professionally done.  There was some timeline creep due to weather and other commitments but that possibility was known and understood by the purchaser and did not create issues.  Material deliver to the site caused some damage to our yard due to wet conditions.  Lock's repaired the damage to our satisfaction.  There were minor changes requested in the plan as the project took shape and those were accommodated without issue.  As with any contractor, the more detail you put in the work plan the happier both you and the contractor will be.  We failed at that detail but Lock's did not take issue with our requests and worked to solve any problems or concerns we had.  We are quite satisfied with especially Ryan's work ethic and skill.

Work went well. Since their work occurred in late December they worked around the weather (sub-freezing and rain) but was able to complete the project in a week. End result looks great.

I am very proud to have had this master do our work. A very wet year delayed the time for completion. Mark worked whenever he could and was not able to predict how long the job would take. Also, we added .about 75 feet of walls to his workload, therefore a finish date was impossible to set.
