Recent Review: Jay was great to work with and I will be calling him again for the next items on my "to do" list. He responded quickly to emails and texts and was both professional and courteous at all times. His estimate was very reasonable, especially since patching the drywall needed multiple visits (because of drying time). I highly recommend him.
Recent Review: They did a very good job and had a helper vacuuming up the dust as he sanded. This really helped reduce the amount of dust created when sanding the drywall. They arrived exactly when they said they would and finished in about the time they said it would take (3 days, 1 to fix, 1 to sand and touch up, 1 to paint). They ended up charging slightly less than their original quote when the painting ended up being easier than expected.

CUncle John's Handyman Svc
Uncle John fixed some holes in our drywall; including ceilings due to water leaks. The ceiling replacement was finished with a a knockdown texture. Although I had been told it would be very hard to tell a difference between the replacement drywall and original, it is very noticeable. The build up of drywall compound around the square area is horrible. He also replaced a patch of drywall on a wall and did some replacement caulking around the some windows, and that was fine. He did offer to redo, but I wasn't sure he would be able to get it better the second time. And, I guess I assume at some time in the future, the toilet may leak again! Lesson learned; hire a professional who specializes in drywall. He is very personable and arrived on-time. I'm pretty sure my final invoice was more than estimate, but by that time I was done.

James did a fabulous job on everything. He came prepared, and paid extra attention to detail. He made the baseboards look like they were original, and had no problem when the special brackets required him to change what he'd already done a bit. He took extra time with my wife to get the cabinet drawers and shelves just right. We had a great idea to make the brackets 'disappear' behind the wall, and he had no problem helping us figure out the specifics. The brackets were a 1/8" thick 3x3 angle iron where the vertical portion had to be lag bolted to studs. He removed the exact amount of drywall, drilled holes for the lag bolts, installed the brackets, then filled in over the vertical portion of the metal to make it look like there was just a little shelf of metal sticking out from the drywall. Once the stone is installed, you won't see any bracing at all. His drywall repair was great, ready for us to paint (which we didn't ask him to do). James is courteous, on-time, friendly, and easy to deal with. He is quality minded, and his rate is good. We will definitely use him again.

Travis was always remarkably prompt in returning our phone calls. This wasn't the case when we contacted other companies to get estimates on repairing some drywall. Travis was easy to work with, professional and personable. Our painter told us we had some drywall problems that were beyond his ability to fix and asked us to get the drywall repaired before he painted. We were pleased with Travis' work, and so was our painter, so much so that he wanted the name of the drywaller for future reference. We would certainly hire this company again.

Erskine did a great job on this repair job. Showed upon time and took pains to be sure the mess of repairing the drywall didn't get all over the rest of the room. Cleaned up everything at the end. I would certainly recommend his company.

My mother had a limited budget to build a small house behind our house so they found ways to save me money. I asked them if they also painted the house and they said they did. They told me it wasn’t a part of bid with Mr. Jude Markway, the owner of the construction company. I asked him how much he would charge me to paint my living room and the sun porch and he said it was $100. He painted 2 coats of drywall primer and 2 coats of paint in a room i.e. 12’ X 20’ and sun porch 8’ X 12’ for $100. I just had a good experience with them. They did it pretty seamlessly as they were the subcontractors for the Jude Markway construction. I had the best experience. They were so clean. They were marvelous. They did a pan ceiling and it was in an awkward place and I had 12 such sheets of drywall. That man is the best with those little tools because he didn’t even know where the electric plugs were but he stuck it in and moved around in circle and cut out the electric plugs without even knowing where it was. It was perfectly straight. He came back before he was satisfied that he had covered up all of them sufficiently. Then he talked to me about different finishes they could do and what knock down was. He explained every bit of it. He didn’t mind me talking to him. I made them coffee and I left the door open and they would just come between rainy period. The price was great. I am will use them in a minute.

Unfortunately, I hired this company, (husband and wife), and I made a big mistake. They charge a “non-refundable” fee upfront which should have been my first clue to run away from this pair. But they seemed to be ok so I agreed. Then from the very start it was obvious they had no idea what they were doing. The wouldn’t show up until around 9:30am -10am, would work about an hour then leave or some days wouldn’t show up at all. They promised a completion date and then was 1 week late getting it done. They took a “personal” day in the middle of the week knowing they wouldn’t finish on time. They were suppose to provide all supplies. They used my own drywall I had without asking, used my drywall screws without asking. The ceiling popcorn texture they started working on started falling off the ceiling, they couldn’t match it with existing popcorn texture and it shows. They didn’t clean up after the job, they got paint all over my stained molding. They got white paint all over my freshly painted red deck. They threw their left over paint and texture out in my grass in the front yard. They argue very argumentative about anything and everything. They didn’t want to paint to the bottom of the wall saying they wouldn’t do it because I can cover the bottom with molding. That’s not their decision to make. Some places were not going to have molding. They didn’t drywall a ceiling according to fire code and tried to cover it up with drywall mud. Some areas they were suppose to do they just didn’t want to do until I asked them about it. They didn’t tell me until after they got their non-refundable fee, they filed bankruptcy and told me I had to pay cash because they couldn’t cash a check, they changed the name of the original company from Neeses painting to RNC painting. So we had to “wire” the money to them. They mentioned something about a parole officer but I’m not sure what that even meant. You want to really check their background too. They even went so far as to pull things out of my trash I threw away. We were in the middle of moving and needed this job to be nice because we were having new carpet laid. Of course their work habits of only working maybe 1-3 hours a day made scheduling impossible. Excuse after excuse after excuse.... I could go on and on here but the bottom line is they are a terrible company, they treat the customer like we didn’t matter and they will argue with you about everything. For the sake of your peace of mind and your homes value you really need to go elsewhere. You will be sorry to get tangled up with this pair. Even after I paid them more of a draw then they asked for, after an inspector showed the issues needing corrected, when I told them, they told me I just wanted to make an excuse not to pay them the last little bit of money and they wanted to show me complaints they found on line that they thought was me. This was all about their work, not me. Then they made threats and refused to make the corrections. How pathetic. All I wanted was a professional job. What I got was 2 people that didn’t have any idea what they were doing. Be aware.
