This was the most excellent experience I could ever dream of. Chad listened to what I wanted done and did exactly what I asked for. He checked during the process to be sure he was doing exactly what I wanted and after completion came back twice to see if there was anything that needed correction or touch up. On both occasions I asked for and received minor adjustments to improve my ability to mow right up to the edge of the water. I can recommend Chad highly for any excavating work. His attitude and professionalism were greatly appreciated.

AWOLFE CONSTRUCTION
Karen returned my call promptly and scheduled an appointment to review the project. At the meeting Frank & Karen explained how they would handle the work and quoted a price for the work which was reasonable. They started the work 2 days later. During the first day of work their crew removed the old walk, step, excavated the area, installed the forms for the pour and cleaned up. On the 2nd day the concrete was poured, stamped & forms removed. On the morning 3rd day they washed the stamp release agent from the concrete and then returned late that afternoon to seal the concrete. From start to finish, Frank and Karen were a pleasure to work with. During the work one or both of them were there working and supervising their workers. They listened to my input and promptly made a couple of changes I requested. Frank called the evening after the work was complete to make sure I was satisfied with the completed work.  They have definitely earned any future concrete work I will have.

AMasterTech Inc
It went really well. I'm very pleased.  After water from the bath backed up to my sinks last week, I had some major plumbing work done at my house this week.  Seth was my lead tech, and he was fantastic! He was very patient and kind, while dealing with a major headache. I was really pleased that Seth came back for the full excavation/repairs, because it's always comforting to see a friendly, familiar face when you are dealing with a major home repair and already a bit stressed out. I don't know if that's a common practice or was just good luck.  Across 2 days, I think I met 7, or maybe 8 different members of the MasterTech crew.  They were all pleasant and polite, and I felt comfortable around all of them (which if you are a single gal who lives alone, this probably matters to you). My issues were thoroughly explained, and nobody spoke to me like I'm dumb (which again, if you are female, this probably matters to you).  They were also helpful in showing me the problems, which made it easy for me to come to a decision about which option was the best for repairs.  This is at least the 4th time I've had plumbers out to my home in 8 years, and they are by far my favorites, though I do believe I won't be needing them again, as they finally set my house right, the way it always should have been. (Thank goodness!)  They get bonus points for major professionalism from the friendly and responsive office staff, right down to the well-labeled vehicles and uniformed staff.  I also appreciated the email updates.  They get double bonus points for being patient and kind to my chocolate lab, who was a bit stressed out by all the chaos and power tools.   Plus, the excavation team put my yard neatly back together, after having to dig it up, which is something my friends and neighbors already commented on.  It's a bummer when you have to do some major work on your house, but it's a lot less painful when the service crew that shows up is friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and on time.

DJ D Kelly Excavating
Everyone was very polite on the job itself. There were some weather-related delays, but all told, they did a decent job of it. However, they parked some pretty big equipment on my lawn and had to re-seed quite a bit. I was told by the city (this was within the city's easement) that the contractor would come back at approximately 90-120 intervals for a full year to check for problems and if the ground appeared to be sinking at all, would bring it back to grade. In the course of excavating, they dug up some enormous rocks, which they moved and arranged across the front of my lawn for me. They had already used a small bulldozer to shove my two large yucca plants and two large peonies out of their way, and then relocated them near the big rocks. Unfortunately, the pushing (the did NOT dig the plants up) ended up killing one yucca and one peony. In the months following, the ground did sink and when a hole began appearing at the edge of my driveway, I called to see when they would be by to "inspect" and repair it. Someone came by while I was at work, took soil from my garden area and filled in the hole. Another time I called because there was a fairly large area where they had obviously not put grass seed down. The young woman on the phone was rather rude and tried to tell me wind or birds had probably been at fault. She did, however, have someone come by and put down additional/new seed. My main complaint is that they obviously have NOT been coming by at ANY intervals to inspect, either on my property or that of my neighbors. The ground has sunk in along the entire lenght of the the pipe, from the sewer opening across the driveway to my neighbors'. Apparently they did come by to put more soil down next door, but according to my neighbor, it was mainly clay, and she couldn't get anything to grow on it. She planned to purchase good topsoil herself elsewhere...They've been in business a long time and tout customer satisfaction, but my lawn was ruined as far as I'm concerned.
