Recent Review: Prompt service, on time and ready to work.  Did extra work around patio to secure dirt and planting beds with building blocks.  Very neat and cleaned up nicely.  Priced 2 other Angie's List concrete contractor's and Chuck's was substantially lower.  Did job quickly.  Initially was only doing sidewalk; which was a small job and normally Chuck's doesn't do such  small job, but was going to do it for under their minimum price.  Suggested some great maintenance items and performed them.  Filled some cracks.  Overall very satisified, would recommend and use again.

Recent Review: The sidewalk project Midwest completed for us went extremely well! Our summation: The pour was done Friday morning, February 5th, 2016 and the Midwest crew did a terrific job. The walks and steps look great! Additionally, I had asked the foreman to dump the excess concrete in the ditch along the street below our culvert. When checking on this the next day I found the excess concrete had not been randomly poured into the ditch. Instead the crew had taken the time to use the excess to create storm water entry and exit ramps at both ends of the culvert. Wow!  How cool is that?!! This example of above and beyond customer service is hereby recognized and duly appreciated! The Midwest employees were courteous and professional and they kept us well informed as the work progressed. I appreciate their efficiency and craftsmanship.  We couldn?t be happier with the results!

Recent Review: They showed up at daybreak and got right to it.  By lunchtime all the prep work was done and they were pouring concrete. By the end of the day they were finished with the exception of removing a couple of the forms which they wanted to leave in place till the next morning.  Beautiful work! Jeff and his crew are polite and very professional.

Recent Review: Josh, "Sue's son", did most of the work. He would work 2 or 3 days a week and he was chatty. The cement crew did not put footers under the cement.  Josh did not do certain things correctly. He had it mostly done and then he quit coming. They have left town and I hear they are in Florence, MO. They had lawsuits against them.

Recent Review: Basically the contractor miscalculated the amount of material and labor therefore cutting his costs by shorting us on concrete and  materials that we  payed extra for on our bill. We paided for a extra yard of concrete and still got shorted. Also paid for extra washed gravel that was  miscalculated. Everything else about the job was rushed and shoddy workmanship was the result. We feel that this  contractor was dishonest with us from beginning to end of job and we will not recommend his work to anyone in this area.

FMALLOY CUSTOM CONCRETE
A sewer line was broken in the process. We called a plumber to repair this. This cost $75.00 for labor not including the part. Instead of redoing the spot where the line had been broken, the workers patched it, and it looks tacky. Checked it to see if was broken when they were repairing the driveway. In addition to the sewer incident, the quality of the concrete is poor. My husband discussed the quality of the concrete with Mr. Malloy on several occasions. He told my husband that the cracks were superficial and could not be fixed. The cracks keep getting wider and branching out. Mr. Malloy came to our residence on Monday, June 16 to pick up a piece of his equipment that was left behind. I spoke to him about the cracks. He basically said that there was nothing he could do about it and that he hated it. On Monday, July 10, my husband was able to reach Mr. Malloy on the phone. Mr. Malloy told my husband that apparently the concrete was bad. Mr. Malloy said that he would speak to the concrete company and get back to us. He never called us and has subsequently stopped returning our phone calls.

Shane is honest and hard-working. He returned all of our phone calls and showed up everyday, except when it rained. He worked in days when the temperature was near 100 and even some Saturdays to get the job done as soon as possible. He considered our suggestions, and when they were not feasible, came up with solutions that were much better. He is a professional, very personable and friendly, and his work is excellent.
