Donahue Roofing was professional from start to finish on this project.  This was a re-roofing job.  Clint and Peggy were very helpful in recommending which shingles would perform best and look good on my roof.  They were patient with me during the decision-making process, including bringing samples to the house to see which style would look the best.  The work was completed in two days and there wasn't a scrap of construction debris left anywhere.  I couldn't be happier with the work and know the value of my house has increased with the new roof.  The roof looks fabulous!  I would recommend Donahue Roofing to anyone shopping for a new roof.

Midwest representative (Marcus Eckstrom) inspected my roof and found extensive hail damage. I contacted my insurance company who immediately sent an adjuster to my home. Mr. Eckstrom showed the damage to the adjuster. The adjuster submitted a report and within a couple of days my insurance company approved the claim. Midwest wasn't able to begin work for about a week because of snow in the interim. As soon as the snow melted there was a crew at my home. They tore off the old roof and replaced it with lifetime shingles in a day and a half. They did a total cleanup before they left. They even removed leaves that had accumulated on the ground around the perimeter of the house.

My primary residence and rental home were both attacked by hail. Both roofs were damaged. After filing an insurance claim, Service Masters came to my home, estimated the damaged and scheduled the work. The day the workers reported, there were about 5 Mexicans and nobody who spoke English. That wasn't an issue untill the workers started throwing the bundles of shingles onto the roof and when the shingles hit the roof, there were loud bangs and pictures in my home fell off the walls. My ceilings were popcorn style or textured and when the bangs happenned, little pieces of the painted texture would fall off leaving bare spots on my ceiling. My home was 1 year old when this happenned, there was no reason for it. When I reported this to Service Master, they credited the damaged to poor texturing by the builders. They never offered to replace the vase that a picture busted when it fell from the walls. On the other home, my rental, the roofers did not put an underlayment of the drip edge or whatever it is called that goes around the chimney. My roof leaked almost immediately, causing damage on the inside which had 12' tile drop ceilings. They came out about 2 weeks later and replaced the tile and put tar around the chimney. Of course it leaked again within a month. They came out, I pointed out that there was no drip edge or once again, whatever it is called. They then put a layer of the drip edge ontop of my roof tiles around my chimney and replaced the tiles on the inside, leaving my trim down and damaged that bordered the fireplace and the ceiling. I requested them to come and fix it, they didn't show. Another month went by and the roof leaked again. Once again I called and they came out, replaced the tiles in the ceiling, this time doing a terrible job at the groove and tongue process, leaving an unlevel surface and still didn't put the trim back up. They never did anything more to the roof stating that they had no idea why it leaked around the chimney and that I had to continuously apply tar to correct the problem. Prior to the shingles on the rental being replaced, the roof never leaked anywhere, let alone around the chimney.

Clint and his crew quoted a very reasonable price for a higher quality steel (standing seam) roof than what was quoted by several other vendors. He and his crew showed up within 15 minutes of their scheduled arrival, which is no small feat since he had to travel nearly 70 miles from West Plains to my home in Theodosia. He and his crew worked all day, first removing the old asphalt shingle roof down to the decking. They replaced rotted wood over my enclosed porch that had been leaking for some time, installed all new synthetic underlayment, 24 gauge snap-lock metal roof system with all trim, flashings and ridge vent. He replaced the rolled asphalt roofing over the porch with 60 ml TPO (the material reminds me of reinforced rubber, about the same consistency of an inner tube for tires) and did all of this for about half the quoted cost from the highest price bidder. Clint has his own equipment for forming the individual metal panels and cuts the panels to specifications on-site. He was super-friendly and went out of his way to make sure my wife and I understood what we were getting. I was very pleasantly surprised to receive this kind of service....it's not the norm. I would use Clint and his company anytime I needed a superior roof at an attractive price. But I probably won't need that for another 45 years. Thanks for a great job at a great price!!!

Quick response to my weekend email for an estimate. He came out right away to get an idea of the work, and even fixed the chimney cap on the spot. Once the materials came in they brought a team who quickly repaired the roofing and cleaned up after the work. Very professional team. Invoice came in at the estimated price.

From the estimate to the finish it went well, and on time. Was advised by the owner on ways to address problems. It seem logical to me and so far working. Doing the work as stated and on time was fantastic.

I'm so impressed with all aspects of this job and the work, workers and company associated with it. The owner Jerry stated he would be at my home Tuesday, Nov. 11th, 2014 at 8:30 am. (It was a holiday, Veterans Day). He said it would take 1/2 a day to complete and would haul off all trash. He came just a little before 8:30 am. His crew arrived between then and 8:50 am. There were 6 gentlemen, and Jerry. The shingles and supplies were dropped off the Friday before. They started to work immediately, ripping off the old roof, shingles and undercoat paper and everything. There were 3 satellite receivers they had to unhook, 2 of which were not in use and all the vents (6), vent boots(3) etc. I was in the home most of the time but would go out on occasion just to check the progress. They were amazing, polite experienced and rapid gentlemen. It was like watching a finely rehearsed and tuned orchestra and I had front row seats!!! They took a 1/2 hour lunch break and I think that was it. By 2:30 pm, they were done. Every bit of trash and debre were gone. They even cleaned out all gutters. I mean, there was not a trace of them even being there. They left my home, yard and surroundings cleaner than when they arrived. And I got a beautiful new roof and vents, vent boots, etc. They even hauled off the 2 not used satellite receivers. They were simply amazing and I would recommend them door to door and to anyone that would listen. GREAT COMPANY AND CREW!!!

Business Description: Roof Cleaning Process - Eco Friendly Elite Roof Cleaners., Missouri's foremost expert on proper shingle cleaning techniques, is here to rid the “Black Streaking” from your roof. Inaccurately identified as “roof mold,” these blue-green algae appear on roughly 80% of all homes in Missouri and may reduce your home’s curb appeal and also its overall value. Don’t replace your roof, we’ll clean it. In fact, an estimated 50% of all new residential roofs are installed not because they are leaking or worn out – but for aesthetic reasons only. It is very important to have the utmost confidence when hiring a qualified roof cleaning contractor. The experts at Roof Cleaning Missouri/Kansas use the algae removal methods recommended by the Roof Cleaning Institute of America (RCIA). We also adhere to the “Soft Wash” roof cleaning process approved by the Asphalt Roofing Manufacturers Association (ARMA). We never use pressure washing equipment which would harm your shingles. Our algae eliminating chemicals do all of the work to remove the “Streaking” and discoloration from your roof and requires NO pressure washing or heavy rinsing. Leaving the chemicals on the roof creates a hostile environment for future algae growth. Each time it rains, a small amount of chemical is reactivated to give your roof a secondary cleaning and aids in disinfecting the mold and mildew embedded in the shingles even further. Your roof benefits with a longer lasting cleaning and overall appearance. Environmentally Friendly At Roof Cleaning Missouri we take special pride in keeping your home and property environmentally safe and secure. We follow the proper roof cleaning chemical standards set by the Asphalt Roof Manufacturers Association. Our cleaning chemicals are as safe as what you put down your household drains. What You Should Know Roof Washing is a completely different trade from pressure washing requiring different pumps, hoses, nozzles, chemicals, caution, knowledge, experience, skill, and insurance. Pressure washing (power washing) is not recommended because it will remove a large amount of the ceramic coated granules from your shingles, which will void the warranty. Even low pressure will cause granule loss and shorten the life of your shingles. If you have ever cleaned your gutters you will notice granules in them just from the rainfall. Think what any additional pressure would do to your roof! The price of cleaning your roof is approximately 1/10 of its overall replacement cost. Remember, “Roof cleaning does'nt cost "It Pays".

Recent Review: My father was a roofing contractor and I am a professional commercial roofing consultant, so this was not a typical process for choosing a residential contractor to perform this work.  We obtained three (3) proposals and initially were concerned because Signature Exteriors was the lowest bidder by a significant amount.  My first reaction was to dismiss them as being too low in cost to be able to do the job correctly.  I fully expected the on-site meeting to review the scope of work to reveal that they were going to take every conceivable shortcut possible in order to make any money at all.  Their representative was on-time for the meeting, and very professionally an correctly answered every one of my questions regarding the scope of work, materials to be used and application procedures.  While I continued to have some concerns about their use of a subcontractor to perform the work, we received satisfactory certificates of insurance for liability and workers compensation and warranty statements for materials and labor.  We were assured in writing that Signature Exteriors would be the responding party should we have any concerns or problems with the work. We were pleased that the work was scheduled quickly as promised.  We were also pleased that the initial start date was postponed to the next day due to threat of rain.  My inspections of the work process revealed that the work crew had received all specified instructions and carried out the work correctly.  They protected the property, used appropriate safety equipment and procedures, and cleaned up well. As a professional roof consultant, I am often dismayed with the quality of work of residential roofing contractors that I observe. I am very happy to convey that our experience with Signature Exteriors was absolutely excellent and I am pleased to give them my highest recommendation.

Recent Review: Process was very professional.  Sales person came to the house, took photos of the roof and trouble spots to confirm we needed a new roof, then briefed us on options including clever new roof vents with eave air intakes to provide attic ventilation.  Their bid was in the middle of two others, but their thoroughness and attention to detail was what convinced us to go with EBS.  We expected the work to take 2.5 to 3 days...actually did it in a day and a half.  Work crew was courteous, quiet, and attentive to the shrubs.  Clean up was outstanding with a couple of follow ups to ensure they got all the nails and trash.  All in all a very satisfying experience.  And the roof vents really work...we can tell the difference: on hot days the a/c doesn't run constantly like it used to and the upstairs is noticibly cooler.  Thanks EBS
