When we were considering putting vinyl siding on our home we really had to wonder if that's what we wanted. We see so many homes where the siding has come loose or is wavy and buckling. They just didn't look good. Over the years we took note of the homes being done by Rand L Siding. One thing was consistent, their homes still looked good over time. Then our neighbors added on to their house and had Rand L Siding replace their windows, add new ones, and match their existing siding. Because they were so pleased with the windows and service, we had Rand L install a large window in the front of our home. We have been very pleased with the quality of the window and installation. We had broken a small piece on the window and Rick, true to his word, came right out and replaced it free of charge. Initial Service: We went with Rand L when we finally decided to go ahead with vinyl siding, replace all the windows except the one that was done years before, and replace our sliding back door. We figured we would pay more up front, but we wouldn't have to have things redone or not be satified with the workmanship. The quality of materials used was better than others we had checked out. In November 2007 they started the work. One man single-handedly did all the vinyl siding. We were extremely pleased with Ken's professionalism, care for our landscaping and property, and including us on decisions that needed to be made. Most of all, we were impressed by his skill and attention to detail. After five years the siding still looks straight and smooth. Ken and another gentleman worked together installing the windows and door. We have no regrets in having the work done by Rand L. Continued Service: We had a small hole in the siding down low. We don't know how it happened, but we most likely did it. Again, true to his word, Rick had someone come out and replace it free of charge. Rand L's promise to make things right no matter who is at fault was one of the big selling points for us. Feeling they would keep the home in the same condition throughout the years as it was the day they finished the job was comforting. This being said, there has been one downside. A couple more holes show up on the siding in 2011. We're guessing rocks thrown by the mower did this. It's been at least six months since we brought it to their attention. They no longer carry the siding that is on our home because they use a different manufacturer now. Apparently they didn't have any left over. They put in an order for replacement siding; however, they still have not received it. This has been the only negative we've experienced. Update: They did eventually get the siding and replaced the pieces that had holes. Price: I reported the price as being good because who wouldn't like to pay less. It was more than other quotes. We had to consider the quality of materials used and the reputation of the company doing the work. We decided it was worth the extra cost. Our windows and door were the pricey items in the whole package. They were willing to work with us some on those though. Overall: A great experience. Never felt imposed upon by having workers around, etc. Landscaping and yard were respected and no damage was done. When they had to be in the house, they respected out property by removing shoes, etc. No radios blaring like we've experienced when neighboring homes were being worked on.
