Recent Review: Handyman Matters of Johnson County gave us a quote substantially less than the other companies we contacted and included stripping wallpaper in the dining room. The other companies would only quote an hourly rate for stripping the wallpaper. They showed up the day we planned on and finished the work the day they estimated. Neither they nor I noticed that the trim color was wrong right away but they fixed it and did not charge me extra. They brought in another painter to catch up and finish the job in a timely manner. They are willing to return and fix anything not to your satisfaction.
Recent Review: Handyman Connection was called in on a very short timeframe to complete an inspection-related repair the day before my house was to close. I had previously contracted with Handyman Matters, who was unable to complete the work at the last minute due to a serious injury situation with some of their staff. The owner of Handyman Matters called Handyman Connection, who agreed to come out within just a few hours and complete the work. Handyman Connection honored the priced quoted by Handyman Matters, and also took care of some other items that weren't even part of their engagement. Handyman Connection was a lifesaver - I really appreciated how these two companies worked together for the good of the customer and took me very seriously, even though this was not a huge dollar repair. Big thank you!!
Recent Review: I got an estimate from Jeff within a day of contacting them. I initially hired him to repair and paint 3 rear entry doors at about one-tenth of the cost of the estimates I had gotten for replacing them. They are metal over wood and the wood has some water damage. I then added some weather stripping for the doors. He pointed out that the weather stripping had magnetic strips to make contact with the metal, which I didn't know, and he was able to get it online. He also top-coated the wood thresholds and applied silicone caulk to the thresholds where the weather stripping had dry rotted. The weather stripping was no longer available ($900.00 parts and labor for all the work on the 3 doors). He also caulked and painted the cedar siding and wood trim on the entire two-story house ($2500 parts and labor). While he was caulking he repaired and painted holes in the siding caused by a flicker. He did a great job on everything. I would definitely hire him again. In fact I did. He replaced two faucets and drain stoppers in the master bath and again did a great job ($480 labor; I purchased the faucets separately). I could trust him alone in my house so I was able to go to work. I will definitely use Handyman Connection for any future projects.
Recent Review: While the basement finish took a little longer than I anticipated, the quality and final price tag exceeded my expectations. I have used Conway Construction on multiple projects and each time, I'm happy with the owner's responsiveness, pricing, and quality of work. I will continue to use Conway Construction in the future.
Recent Review: Pete responded back right away and gave me a fair quote (had called numerous handymen on Angie's List and the quotes I received for hanging a mirror were ridiculous...half the cost of the mirror). I was able to schedule within a few days and he showed up on time. He was courteous and worked quickly. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing home maintenance or handyman needs. Have finally found a handyman who is reliable and reasonable!
Recent Review: I called and requested an estimate. He came out we discussed and I excepted his offer. He arrived as scheduled took measurements and selected stain. He returned the following day with completed, stained trim and installed it. The trim was for 3-windows. He weather stripped the exterior doors. I would certainly consider him for any additional requirements.
Needed to have the weather stripping replaced on garage door. Found $49 Handyman service online and made appointment for the next day. Scott arrived on time and was very professional and courteous. Weather stripping was done in less then an hour and looks great. I will definitely use $49 Handyman again!

He handled all tasks promptly and professionally. There was a problem with the garage door closing with the weather-stripping, which was not his fault.

We thought Michael did an excellent job! The painting was done professionally, and thorough. He caulked around several of the outside doors so air wouldn't come from the area, also. I picked up the weather stripping and paint to save time. We would definitely use Michael again.

BThe Hayes Company
We feel we received a great job for the money. The guys were all very nice. We asked if they could come out a little later in the morning after finding out that we scheduled a school holiday. They were great about it. They always called me back right away when I had questions. We feel some improvement over our upstairs temperatures in the bedrooms since the insulation has been added. They also sealed off all off the attic. May 2014 update: We saved an average of $40 - $60 a month in 2013 compared to 2012 during the months we ran the air conditioner. There were two months in 2013 that were very hot and we saved $200+ each month! Even if you don't use Hayes Company make sure you have enough insulation in your attic and that it is sealed off. Very happy!

CMr. Handyman of Northeast Johnson County
I had about 3 days of work done, I'd say 90% of the work was great. However, and this is my fault, but as cleaned up the drywall mess and got close with all the work the trim is pretty rough on the eyes. The workers were good dudes, and overall pretty solid work. But the minor details are the issues I had. Again, the trim is basically cut and pasted. It *kind of* matches the old trim, but there's parts where I have floating trim just hanging there. Aesthetically, it's pretty rough and will definitely require another project to get looking good. The half wall short of the trim is awesome, they did an awesome job there. Lastly my door had a lot of draft coming in and I think a lot of this is due to the fact the quote I got was way short of the cost and I was basically "red" for their profits but the weather proofing actually made the draft get worse due to it not allowing the door close all the way, so that to will be another issue. I should likely have gotten a new door all together because the current door has a LOT of but was talked out of it. Overall, not bad. The drywall work and half wall are great, the workers were nice people and I'm sure if I had seen the issues before I signed the sheet they would have helped. So it's my fault there no doubt. The trim (probably the most expensive part of the project) and weather stripping basically were wastes of money at this point however as it stands. Overall give em a C. The little things I thought I would just be able to paint over intitally are not done well enough to paint them yet. Will have to replace the trim and have random holes due to replacing the old trim.

ARent A Handyman
Very good. In fact, Don corrected issues with a door that Case Handyman Co. supposedly fixed for which they charged me $600...it never worked right.

He explained everything that he was going to do and why. I would defiantly hire him again. Overall, the technician who came out was very good and knew what he was doing.
