Recent Review: I contacted several companies for estimates. Wood ReNew was the first to respond. They got here promptly and answered all questions. They provided a professional estimate in writing. The next estimate I recieved was verbal, more than 3 times the price and was going to take a full week to complete. Wood ReNew completed the job with high quality in half a day. They did a very high quality job on the deck and also kept the house clean. I will definitely use Wood ReNew again!
Recent Review: The job went great and although the project ended up requiring much more work to complete because of hidden rotted wood the installers worked hard to complete the job. We have hired Goecoexteriors to install our siding on our home as well.
Recent Review: The company’s representative came out examined our roof and showed us the damage on the roof, gave a good understanding of the damage and gave us three options of how we can repair our roof. He was very knowledgeable and not pushy. The company e-mailed the estimate cost of each of the repair options within 72 hours. We took the option of replacing the whole roof. The company told us it would be able to start the work in about two weeks but was able to start in only a little over a week. The company provided a crew of four to do the job. The crew was very courteous and were very diligent in the work they did. They completed the job in one day! However, they made one error in that they failed to put a crest vent on the roof of the garage. The company representative was very apologetic and corrected the error the next day. The company’s representative did explain that if any of the decking would need to be replaced that it would be an extra cost (which he quoted the cost before the work began). I believe the cost was minimal and one sheet of plywood was replace due to water damage. The cost of the job was right on the estimate. The company guaranteed the roof for five years and the shingles’ manufacturer had a separate limited lifetime warranty. No hidden costs. The company did more than the minimum needed. The roof now looks great and I am certain we made the right decision in using Glennstone to do the job.

Recent Review: It went great. RPM is a small company with the owner, Richard Crum, doing the majority of the work himself. We had several estimates. RPM had the lowest bid. Rick removed the floor, railing and steps replacing with cedar. He also poured a concrete step at the end of the stairs. The result is absolutely beautiful. Rick is an artist with wood. He customized the railing cutting and shaping the wood posts and rail in a way that is hard to explain without a picture. It's safe to say that we have the best looking deck I have ever seen. I highly recommend this company. If you want the best looking wood deck in your neighborhood cal RPM.
Recent Review: Patios Plus (Josh) called to explain his company was now a supplier of the roofing system and his company was authorized to make repairs. We set up a time for him to come to the house, he arrived on the agreed-upon day, and went over and beyond what was needed to make sure the motor operated correctly.
We called to make the appointment to have this service. Nobody answered, so a message was left. We received a call back within about 48 hours, and the service was scheduled. We have furniture on the deck, including a table and chairs, and TV which we had to remove and store in our garage the evening before our service was to be done. The service provider didn't showed up as scheduled. After a few days we called. He called us back and told us that he was behind due to inclement weather. We felt that was understandable, however, we should have been kept informed, rather than him just not showing up and not calling. We rescheduled. He told us that he would even leave his equipment in our back yard over the weekend to show that he wasn't off doing other jobs. Instead, he just left a long ladder leaning up against our deck for days on end. He did not show up the second time as scheduled. Again, no phone call to keep us informed of why he didn't show up and when he planned on coming. When he finally came, unannounced, he did do a good job. There was no stain on our siding. There was one drip on the patio under the deck. However, we were weeks without the use of our deck, not knowing when the work was going to be done because we weren't being kept informed. In addition, we were told that the deck would be dry by the following morning, but it took days before it was dry enough to use again. We had used this company a couple of years ago, and at that time they were more prompt and responsive. This time, we were disappointed.

Very well, overall construction went well. Steve has very good communication skills and would call every night to outline the next days construction goal.

Provided an estimate and no hidden charges. Work was done in a timely manner and am 100% satisfied. Tore down old deck and built new deck to include a roof, electric, and a ramp. Will definitely use him in the future for any other projects.

The crew from Sheldon Siding did an outstanding job with my deck extension. They were able to complete the job ahead of the original date, were prompt every morning, and even worked late to try to get the project completed. I made some changes on the first day by increasing the size, and Ron and his crew were very receptive to modifying the original plan and got the additional supplies needed. The workmanship and attention to detail was excellent, better than any deck I've had before. Ron, the owner, was on site multiple times each day. I would not hesitate to use them on any future projects.

I met the owners at the St. Louis Home Show. After getting several estimates (all over my affordability) R&R helped me get a new deck within my price range. After hearing their proposal, we were able to work together to get a deck I was happy with (some compromises) and stay within my budget. They were the only company I met with who was willing to make changes to help me. During construction the workers were professional and on task, no loitering or messing around, and picked up all construction "trash" when the job was over. Even after 14 months, the deck still looks awesome. They also educated us in the proper care of our new deck to help it stay beautiful. They were attentive to our needs and concerns, stayed in contact with us, and made us very comfortable with such a large project.

The gutter covers did not seem to work right at first but Ron and Jeff kept working at finding a solution to the problem, and in time they did find the right solution. The gutters and covers are working properly now. The second job went smoothly. The demolition went quickly, and the crew worked diligently to complete the decks as soon as they could, even working some days in inclement weather. Jeff and his assistants are experienced, hard working, good at finding solutions to problems, and neat and respectful of the surrounding property. After the decks were built they made repairs to three doors that go out to the decks. I'm very pleased with and proud of my new "no maintenance" decks and railings.

After reading the reviews, we requested two bids, JW being one of those. The other company came out, took measurements, then disappeared never to be heard from again. Jeff got our business. Jeff said it would take about 10 working days. He completed it in 8 days. Jeff and Andrew started early every morning, and worked the whole day. I've built several decks and know good work when I see it. I can't anymore due to health issues. The quality of work was outstanding, and Jeff and Andrew took pride it their work along the way. We will be using Jeff for other remodeling projects around the house in the months to come. Really glad we found them!

Great. They were there between 7:45 and 8 a.m. every day that weather permitted. Job was well-planned and efficiently executed. They've got a great relationship with the building inspector. These guys use common sense to overcome the little irregularities you run into while working on an older property, and they deliver a quality product. Love the new deck. Increased curb appeal 100 percent.

I know spring is right around the corner and if u r thinking about a new deck or replacing your old one Shelton Siding does a super job. We had our deck replaced last fall and Shelton did an excellent job. Always on time, kept us informed of what was going on and continued to work on our deck until the job was complete. I know they stand behind their products. At our previous home windows and doors were replaced by Shelton bf we bought the home. After we moved in a handle on our sliding door broke and I called Shelton to order another one. When I went to pick it up and asked what I owed they said nothing it was covered. I know the windows and doors had been installed at least 5 years earlier. That is what I consider standing behind your products. When we decided to replace our deck we knew who we wanted to give us a bid. We choose Shelton and it was the right decision. Our deck is beautiful.

We hired this contractor because we wanted one crew who could do the 3 jobs we needed done rather than try to juggle 3 contractors schedules. Because of our split work schedules we needed the work done between a Wed thru Sat and we made that very clear numerous times. Chuck was quick to respond to bid the job, and to return the next day for us to pick colors, sign the contract and require a LARGE check for the deposit. WE PUT DOWN HALF OF THE CONTRACTED PRICE AS A DEPOSIT. That was all that went smoothly! SEVERAL appts were made, supplies were even delivered (and when they were delivered the guttering supplies/roof vents etc were laid in the yard, next to the alley where anyone could have just pulled up and loaded them up-so WE had to move them all to the porch). A disposal trailer was placed in our driveway (which was fine thinking the job would be SURELY be done in a couple days - while we parked vehicles on the street!) but no crews ever showed up. Many many many phone calls and promises happened but after 8 appts total (2 maybe 3 were due to rain) we had had enough and cancelled the contract. Come to find out this company does not employ regular crews, it hires different crews from wherever, whenever. Plus a separate contractor hired for the guttering. We were under the initial assumption that Chuck EMPLOYED crews (HIS CREW/EMPLOYEES-not subcontractors). If we had known that he subbed things out he would not have gotten the bid. When we cancelled, and asked for our deposit back immediately, Chuck refused until the supplies could be retrieved from our roof. He was suddenly "too busy" to come back to town and return the money that we paid him BEFORE supplies were delivered or work was started. Chuck was rude and short and hung up on me twice, refusing to return the deposit until the supplies could be picked up. He and my husband finally agreed that could be done on Saturday (when the supplier could come back and get them down) and a check would be given to us then. When this was done, the supplier pointed out that they had knocked off a vent while placing the supplies on the roof, which left an exposed opening (and it had rained a couple times on the supplies). The contractor did leave a vent and had them seal it down and left a check, assuring us it was good. Then wrote on the voided contract that he was "not responsible for any damages"???????? We deposited the check on a Saturday, the check was sent to his bank on Monday only to find out on Tuesday that it "would not clear at this time". After many phone calls and emails my husband called Chuck on Wednesday who contacted his bank. He told us he was going in the next morning to "clear it up". My husband received a call later from the contractor, his bank, and our bank, that the check had been covered and would be paid. All of this inconveniencing our bank and us, all the while holding up getting the roof replaced for yet ANOTHER week! We thought we researched our choices in roofers well...but learned important questions to still ask: Do you have personal references? (Because obviously a few sporadic reviews can give false grades) Do you employ your own crew? Materials warranty comes from the manufacturer but what happens to the labor warranty when you use various crews or retire? How long will it take to complete this work? Will YOU (the contractor) ever be on site? and I don't know about most other companies policies but we will NEVER give a deposit this large (half of the job costs) to a company up front again! Total: we are out several weeks of stress and aggravation and STILL HAVE NO ROOF!!! Not to mention the guttering! Buyer beware! Even an "A" rating on Angies List can spell disaster! Be sure to check the number of ratings and how old they are!
