We had no experience with this kind of project and Jake led us through it. We are very satisfied with the finished room. People came to work promptly, worked continuously, and were very professional.

The experience of getting it installed was just fine but they are supposed to come back and haven’t yet to remount the dirt that settled. It’s a good product. I think that’s one thing that stood out and it’s definitely something solid. The people who put it in knew what they were doing but weren’t exactly professional. They need a little bit of management. I would use them again but it would just depend on if I have a good command of what was going on with the project but if I didn’t, I would rely on someone else probably. Their products are good. I just think the install team needs some help.

He is quite trustworthy-I didn't feel that I needed to be there while he did the work. As always, the results were very professional in appearance. His knowledge is broad based.

CFLORENCE & SONS HOME REPAIR
Bill was recommended by my boss.  He is friendly and straightforward and primarily competent.  The appearance of the finished job was wonderful and I was pleased.  I talked with him afterward about doing additional work for us because we have a house that needs a lot of TLC and NOT of the DIY variety,   Aside from his commenting that the job cost him more than he made (and we would have, without hesitation, paid the extra cost if he explained the problem),  two things occurred that made me not pursue his help any further:  (1) In an unrelated conversation, my boss reported to me that "Bill says you need a hundred thousand dollars worth of work on your house."  I thought it was the height of unprofessionalism for Bill to gossip about the work he was doing for me or the state of my habitat.  (2) Within a couple of years the work that he did failed and the door and jamb started sinking, so I had to call Leeper Construction to replace it.  Leeper found that there was no footing under the door and that is why it was sinking.  He installed the footing and repaired the door and that seems to have worked!  I liked Bill and his crew.  They were quiet and polite, as well as considerate.  But it was very clear he was not interested in helping us fix our house.  I think it was too difficult.  If you own an older home that needs repairs it is difficult to find competent (even incompetent) remodelers/carpenters because it is so much easier and profitable for them to install new cabinets in a five year old kitchen than it is to repair the sinking floor in a 40 year old bathroom.   They would all rather take the easy jobs, and I understand that.  DISCLAIMER:  I am unsure of the date of the work, but I do know it was sometime between 2003 and 2009.  I am also uncertain of the exact cost, but it seemed very reasonable to me and I did not have a problem at all with his business practices.  He used good materials and showed pride in the work.

FWren's Home Improvement & Remodel
Calls himself a contractor but I don't even consider him to be a good handyman.  He's overpriced and under qualified. He's not prompt and not a good communicator.  The quality of the work was very poor...roof continued to leak, carpet came up and the siding came off during the first storm.  Just about anything he touched fell apart.  He was never available to try to resolve problems.  He has numerous better business bureau complaints against him. I had to sue him and he filed bankruptcy.

AAarow Building
I am extremely pleased with the results of my bathroom remodel by Aarow Building. Jake Bruton and his crew are very easy to work with and the communications were outstanding. The remodel in my master bathroom consisted of removing a bathtub/shower, carpet, toilet, vanity tops and light fixtures and rebuilding the bathroom. Some problems were experienced during the demolition because of mold and water damage. These issues were readily handled by the crew. Jake was very helpful with the overall design and selection of tile and fixtures. His suggestions were thoughtful and innovative and the end product was favorably enhanced by his design contributions. Actual installation took a little longer and cost a bit more than the original estimate, but included changes made at my request and the results were spectacular. In particular, the decorative tile used in the shower was labor intensive as well as more expensive (my choice) than that initially bid. In addition to the bathroom remodel, I got an outside spigot at the front of my house, another spigot repaired, a storm door repaired, duct work repaired in my attic, and replacement of a vanity top and faucets in a second bathroom. The “extras” were either at my request or items noticed by Jake and crew that needed to be fixed. Fantastic! Jake and crew worked efficiently and professionally.

Brad and his crew painted the entire exterior of our house as well as doing some minor carpentry repair and replacing the entire screen on our large screened in front porch. From the outset Brad was very helpful in assisting us in determining exactly what we wanted done as well as what needed to be done. He was always prompt in returning calls and answering any questions we had regarding while the work was in progress. He was also very good at coming up with solutions to problems that we were not sure how to address. We were undecided about what we wanted to do with our front porch and Brad was very patient about the delay as a result of our indecision and continued to work with us to come up with solutions that met our needs. He and his crew were all very professional and very considerate at all times and we have been very pleased with the work that they performed. I can, without hesitation, recommend JBR Precision for any painting and carpentry repair that may need to be done.

Contract was to replace window glazing on 17 windows, paint the wood siding and window trim, paint exterior doors and stucco chimney above the roof line on our ranch on a walkout basement. The house is brick on 2 sides, wood siding on 2 sides. There were four different colors used (base, window trim, front door, chimney). We have storm windows on all of our windows, so the bid included removing them to do the painting and then re-installing them with new screws. There were also several holes from woodpecker damage and an old dryer vent hole that they repaired. I got five different bids and this one was neither the most expensive or the cheapest. The cheapest bids saved $$ by spraying on the paint and using lower quality paint. JBR brushed all the paint on which results in a thicker coat of paint, and they used Sherwin Williams Duration; most other bids used Sherwin Williams also, but not the Duration paint, which is a higher end SW paint. Brad was also the only one of the five bidders to notice rot above our garage doors during the estimate. He took a lot of care to note everything that would be done. The estimate we received included lots of detail which others did not. The work itself was done very well, no paint on anything it wasn't supposed to be on. Perfect, in my opinion. They also painted part of the foundation that shows on one side of the house. Really, just a superior company to do business with.

AAarow Building
The original general contractor who agreed to install our new front entry door decided on the Friday morning of the install that he couldn't wait for one hour for the door to be delivered and had accepted another job, leaving me and the door with very little options. With the new door laying on our front porch at approx. 9:00 am, I called the rep who sold us the door and he was able to contact Jacob Bruton, Owner of Aarow Building. Once Jake called me to confirm what was needed he was on the job in 30 minutes. Jake was able to install the new entry door into an existing 1940's entryway with his crewman Jackson on a Friday at the smallest notice and he stayed until the install was completed. The original measurements of the door jamb width from the previous contractor had been wrong. Jake was able to spot the oversight and overcome this mistake with his wide knowledge base. Jacob Bruton and his crew have integrity, they have pride in their work, and they also have a great work ethic. He does what he says and he stands by his work. He and crewman Jackson answered my questions and concerns. He returned my calls promptly and he has the correct tools for the job that made the work go faster. When we get ready to install new windows, 12 to be exact, plus a bay window, I will definitely call Jacob Bruton. We have a pretty close neighborhood so if any of us have a good experience with plumbers, electricians, or contractors we share the info. People who care about their work and care about their customers are hard to find. Believe me I have already shared Jake's business card with my neighbors. Thanks for the great work! We enjoy the door everyday! Sincerely, Angie Boyle

Things went very well. He came on time, called before he arrived to make sure I knew he was coming. His son who is now working with him this year shows the same qualities and great work habits as Duke does. All debri picked up quickly at the end of the day. They were polite and professional. He had all materials that he needed with him. He made no changes in what my contract stated. He came on weekends because I was available at those times. I certainly will be calling Carpenters for any work needed on my home because I get my money's worth everytime.
