As the garage door rose, I saw two black objects fall to the ground. They appeared to be plastic parts of some sort of gear. When I tried to lower the door, nothing happened, so I knew right away that they must have been important to its operation! I immediately got online to Angie's List. The first company listed was Central Garage Door, and since all "grades" were an "A", I called to see if someone could at least come to give me an estimate to repair the door. Obviously, I couldn't leave home with the garage door open all the way. Although I was told someone would be there within the hour, it was less than 15 minutes later when the Central truck arrived. The gear was quickly replaced and as I'd been thinking about it anyway, I asked whether they could give me an estimate to install an external keypad for me. Well, there just happened to be a used but perfectly operational one in the truck and it was also quickly working just fine. Instead of just an estimate with a "We can do the work...", I had a working garage door and key pad within an hour's time. I am definitely a happy customer. The service was excellent; if I could give an A+, I certainly would. My garage door opener mechanism is pretty old; when I'm ready to replace it I will most certainly call Central Garage Door again!
