We have used Scott (one of Doug's handymen) numerous times in the past and I have written many glorious reviews here on Angie's List about them. It was such a relief to find a handyman that would show up when he said he would, do excellent work and be reasonable with the price. This last time, I contacted Doug to request Scott to replace a motor in our attic fan and handle some wood rot on one of our doors on 5/26. Scott and I agreed that he would come out on 6/5 for the repairs. Scott arrived and looked at the crawl space for the attic and stated he needed someone to assist him and that he would call me later that day to set up another time to do the repair for both the attic fan and the wood rot within a few days. After he left, we saw that when Scott pulled into our driveway that he clipped our yard and turned over a very large stone that we had planted next to our driveway. We had been outside right before and after Scott arrived to know that the damage was not there previously. Since we had so much rain lately, there was damage to our lawn and the mud was across our driveway where his tire had been. We took photos and sent it to Doug immediately. We still wanted Scott to come back out, we just asked Doug that they repair the damage. As I stated before, Scott had provided us with exceptional service in the past and we were sure that it was an oversight/accident, and as long as it was repaired, there was no issue. It would have been quickly forgotten and we would have continued to use them for future jobs. Doug responded immediately and apologized. He stated "Yes we will take care of ASAP. I will have one of the guys handle next week." This was sent to us early in the morning of 6/6. Since then, Doug has not had anyone, including himself, call to give us a date for the repairs. We have sent Doug 2 additional emails, called him and left a voicemail and even sent him a text message since that date. I assumed that we were a valuable customer to this company and we are perplexed as to why we couldn't even have received a phone call or had one of our emails answered as to why we were not being scheduled. Doug had stated he would take care of it "ASAP" and within the week, but it has been 2 weeks and there has been no follow-up. The appearance is that because we claimed that there was damage to our property that they would no longer do business with us when there was already a promise to do so.
