Recent Review: The crew from Sheldon Siding did an outstanding job with my deck extension.  They were able to complete the job ahead of the original date, were prompt every morning, and even worked late to try to get the project completed.  I made some changes on the first day by increasing the size, and Ron and his crew were very receptive to modifying the original plan and got the additional supplies needed.  The workmanship and attention to detail was excellent, better than any deck I've had before.  Ron, the owner, was on site multiple times each day.  I would not hesitate to use them on any future projects.

Recent Review: Contractor was very professional and  on time, very courteous and polite. Went the extra mile to make sure i was pleased with the services. I had also asked them if they would do extra things, and they never hesitated to accept what i had asked of them. And they were very reasonable on their cost. Always kept a clean work area during and at the end of the day. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Shane is honest and hard-working. He returned all of our phone calls and showed up everyday, except when it rained. He worked in days when the temperature was near 100 and even some Saturdays to get the job done as soon as possible. He considered our suggestions, and when they were not feasible, came up with solutions that were much better. He is a professional, very personable and friendly, and his work is excellent.

CDeck Pros
We called to make the appointment to have this service. Nobody answered, so a message was left. We received a call back within about 48 hours, and the service was scheduled. We have furniture on the deck, including a table and chairs, and TV which we had to remove and store in our garage the evening before our service was to be done. The service provider didn't showed up as scheduled. After a few days we called. He called us back and told us that he was behind due to inclement weather. We felt that was understandable, however, we should have been kept informed, rather than him just not showing up and not calling. We rescheduled. He told us that he would even leave his equipment in our back yard over the weekend to show that he wasn't off doing other jobs. Instead, he just left a long ladder leaning up against our deck for days on end. He did not show up the second time as scheduled. Again, no phone call to keep us informed of why he didn't show up and when he planned on coming. When he finally came, unannounced, he did do a good job. There was no stain on our siding. There was one drip on the patio under the deck. However, we were weeks without the use of our deck, not knowing when the work was going to be done because we weren't being kept informed. In addition, we were told that the deck would be dry by the following morning, but it took days before it was dry enough to use again. We had used this company a couple of years ago, and at that time they were more prompt and responsive. This time, we were disappointed.

We contacted Greg when we thought we were going to need to leave the dogs outside while we were both working. One of the dogs in 14 and the vet said she could not stay out in hot or cold weather. Greg was able to get started on the work promptly and was done fairly quickly.

I e-mailed the company (via their website) a list of items that I needed done. The Company's project manager came to my house to discuss the nature of my request. At that point, two items not on my original list were added and one was eliminated. The Company then drew up a fixed priced contract and the scheduled work (except the door hinge replacement) began the afternoon of the next day. The technician was punctual and professional. While the quality of his work appeared satisfactory, it should be noted that these tasks required only the most elementary of skills. On the second day, two technicians arrived and worked for approximately 1.5 hours to replace the door hinges. This task required more skill because the new hinges were thicker than those being replaced. The contract was modified to include this initially unforseen circumstance. The end result appeared satisfactory.

First, let me say. This is not easy for me because I like to believe the best in people or companies. Erich sales rep, was very responsive when I originally emailed about getting a price quote. He came out Thursday before Easter. We explained what we were looking for and he was very nice about making a recommendation of doing a poured slab for deck instead of wood. This would save us money on labor because a lot of dirt work would of been needed to level area for wood deck. I was happy with recommendation. I had also told him that because of the ( A rating ) from everyone on Angie’s list, we would only be getting a bid from them. My wife asked him about lead time on getting work done and he said mid July, Mary said ok she would wait for them. All because of there rating. Erich said that the estimate would be to us by midweek following week. No estimate and no follow up from him the following week, so I emailed him. He was quick to respond and apologized. Said no matter what I would have it by first of this week, he had been swamped. I understood and said ok. Well, now it’s the middle of the week he promised to have to estimate and still nothing. Regrettably, I now have to go out and try to find a company that has a good reputation like they did. Not sure how they got that reputation but in our opinion NOT deserved.

AContractor Plus LLC
The contracting firm Contracting Plus has just finished a major addition of a great room, deck, and wheel-chair ramp to our home. Owners Ken and Cindy Kubalek were outstanding in every aspect of this job, from initial planning through ordering and timely delivery of materials, construction, accounting, and final wrap-up.  When we first discussed the addition, Ken and Cindy knew exactly what questions to ask to help us refine our plans, then gave us a very timely quote which was reasonable without cutting any corners. The survey and zoning inspection revealed problems with our initial plans, but Ken immediately suggested alternatives to obtain what we wanted?a problem-solving skill that came up several times during the project.  He knows his job thoroughly, and is attentive to every detail.  When the job began in mid-January, Ken and his crew worked through cold and some bad weather to get the supports and framing up in a very short time?about ten days.  Yet every step, from the concrete piers to the framing was extremely solid.  Ken?s philosophy is to overbuild when in doubt, because he wants his work to last!  Every aspect of this job, from the fireplace, heating and cooling, interior finish work, and exterior appearance attests to the extremely high quality of their work. The most important quality of Contracting Plus is reliability.  In addition to Ken and Cindy, who were always prompt in responding to any requests we made, every member of their crew was on the job, on time, and working hard all day.  We had heard horror stories of construction companies that would not show up for days, or whose workers would fail to appear.  Indeed, it was comments from others on Angie?s List about their reliability that led us to Contracting Plus.  We and our neighbors were very impressed that the work never stopped, that the workers were so motivated and excellent at their jobs, and that they seemed to enjoy working together and for Ken.  Further, the crew was unfailingly polite, willing to answer any questions, and tried to respect our privacy even when working inside our house. Efficiency is another trait of the Kubalek company. Cindy has made a science of ordering delivery of materials so that they arrive exactly when needed.  Ken worked with his overseer, Cary Seddon, to plan each day?s work so that each member of the crew wasted no time.  The only delay was caused by the two blizzards in February that prevented their HVAC subcontractor from making final connections?there were no delays in work by Contracting Plus and Cary was on the job even on the worst snow days. Inevitably plans evolved as we went along, and Ken and Cindy were happy to help us make decisions, get quotes for unanticipated changes, and quickly resolve all problems very professionally. We are delighted with every aspect of our new room and deck.  Contracting Plus is an excellent company and deserves the very highest recommendation!
