Recent Review: It was not able to be repaired, but they were very helpful. They gave me good advice and some additional contacts. Justin was very nice. I did however go in to the store at one point, and had to wait for an employee to finish a personal conversation on the phone. I was the only customer in the store.

Recent Review: I have used Professional Industries for six years. They offer options for weekly pool service and for opening and closing expenses. If there is a problem, I can call early in the morning and they usually come over the same day. The only thing I don't like about them is that some things just show up on my bill, without my being told about them in advance, and the labor charges mount up. For example, we had to get the pool pump replaced again this year, even though it was less than one year old. Apparently it had not been installed correctly last year (by them). We were not charged for the new pump, but we did have to pay the labor to replace it. Last year I asked them to replace the pool light, and it ended up costing $500 because of the labor. The technicians are very friendly and easy to deal with. I think all pool services are expensive, so I can't say whether they are more expensive than others or not.

AReflections Pool Service
Let me first say I have a pool that was installed 6 years ago by one of the bigger firms and service issues have always been handled slowly.  Last Friday my main pump went out and I thought it was the pump itself being that it is older.  When I called my old pool firm they really didn't seem like they wanted the 'service work' due to their heavy installation schedules.......I then decided it was time for a change and joined Angie's List to find a quality contractor based on reviews.  I called a few but something struck me about Kevin when I spoke to him.  He just seemed down to earth and very helpful suggesting things for me to try.  We finally decided it was probably the pump and he ordered the parts.  Today Bob showed up after Kevin had called this morning to give me EXACT pricing for the new unit (still $100 below competitors quotes).  Bob called me on his way and when he arrived proceeded to examine the unit to determine all I needed was a new capacitor saving me over $300 from what was quoted in replacing the pump.  Honesty was evident in Bob and I really appreciated his work.  They also quoted out prices for closing and opening the pool which immediately let me to become a new customer for that work....I highly recommend them.

The office staff were very responsive, calling me back either the same day or first thing the next day. They worked with me and my insurance to help the installation of my pool pump go smoothly. They taught me how to manage my pool and delivered all the equipment I asked for. The technicians are very positive and helpful. They are reasonably priced.

FJUST POOLS INC
I first contacted Just Pools to report that our pool pump was over heating and shutting off on July 8th. They sent a technician out to my house on July 10th. The technician advised that the pump was running way too hot. It was raining that day & the technician advised that he needed to go to another residence, but would return the same day to resolve the issue. He also advised that he needed to contact Pentair the manufacturer because the pump was under warranty. The technician did not return. After waiting 2 days for the technician to return, I began calling Just Pools again. I was advised that the maintenance supervisor would contact me regarding the issue. I did not hear from the supervisor until I made several more phone calls. The supervisor came to my home unannounced on July 15th. He said he needed to contact Pentair, but would have the pump replaced by Wednesday July 17th. No one came to replace or repair the pump. I started calling Just Pools again the following week. On Thursday July 25th I finally spoke to the supervisor who promised to have the issue resolved by end of day Friday July 26th. When no one called or showed up by Monday July 29th, I once again called Just Pools, only this time I asked to speak to Roy, the owner. I was told that he would call me back. I never got a call back. I have now filed a formal complaint with the BBB.

FPools and Beyond
Flat out, never go with these folks. I will break down the experience into Sales and Pricing, Construction, Quality Timeline, Communication and Post Installation.. Sales.: The initial sales experience was probably the only positive experience throughout the entire process. The sales person was low pressure, knowledgable and courteous. The pricing was very competitive and met our expectations. Subsequent to the initial experience, we learned that the sales person misled us completely in order to make the sale. Construction: the construction was absolutely terrible. Days would go by without people showing up onsite even though we were told that they were actually there. Three times I took off work to meet the crew to answer questions and no one was there. After speaking to the crew some days later each time they told me they had no idea I was to talk with them. Over a 4 week span, total time spent actually performing any work was less than 40 hrs. They finished in a little over 9 weeks even though we were told about 3 and on their own website they praise their 2-day install. Yea.. right! One huge area of concern was the way they left the worksite. At the end of the day they left the worksite in an absolution mess, parts and boxes strewn all over the place and 3 times they left the worksite completely open unsecured with very large hole in the ground, and a fiberglass shell exposed. I and a number of our neighbors have small children who could have easily gotten in that area and injured quite easily. This alone is a major OSHA violation and they should have bene fined quite extensively. Quality: Parts of their work was very good and then other were absolution terrible.  Timeline: As mentioned, although they estimated a 3 week completion, it too well over 9 weeks to complete. We were lied constantly on the progress and projected completion. Communication: Simple... there was't any. We would call and call and they would not answer. We would leave messages and they would not return calls. Three times, I tried calling from my cell with no answer and then used a coworkers phone and immediately got an answer. The last time, the person answering actually was taken aback and irritated that i would take such a tactic.  OVERALL.. never, and I mean never use this company!

FBURKE CONSTRUCTION
By far, the WORST company I have ever dealt with! First the install was delayed because of the weather, no big deal, but I was told they would contact me the following week to reschedule, I finally called them almost three weeks later. My filter had a leak. I ran into Ed Burke at Pool King and he told me how to fix it which was great! Then hours later my pump stopped working properly. A week later, they came out and blame Pool King for selling me faulty equipment. Pool Kings manager came out and and said they installed the hoses backwards and fixed it. I also noticed (the day they installed it) that there was a ring at the bottom of my pool, w/in 3 weeks it turned in to a 7'' deep crater. After they wouldn't return my call, they promised Pool King they would call me. In September, I finally called them and they answered. After telling me how wonderful they were they refused to fix the problem unless I paid for it! If I have to pay, I will get someone who knows what they are doing!

FADVANCED POOL & SPA SERVICE
I am very disappointed in my recent service visit from Advanced Pool & Spa Service. They provided terrible service. First, they didn't make an appointment, didn't call ahead to let me know they were on the way, and didn't even ring the doorbell when they arrived. I was home the whole day but the only reason I knew they were on my property is because I heard my dog barking in the backyard and then looked out the back window and saw two strange men (not in uniforms) messing with my pool pump. I walked outside and they didn't introduce themselves. I had to ask who they were and why they were by my pool. The first guy, Scott, was on the phone with someone else and was extremely rude to me the entire time. The second guy, Kenny, just walked around holding a bag of tools and didn't say a word. Scott claimed my pool pump needed a new gasket because it was leaking and noisy and I told him there was nothing wrong at all with my pool pump - it worked fine - and the reason I called for service is because my spa pump wasn't working. Essentially, Scott had been looking at the wrong equipment and tried to sell something I didn't need. Scott claimed his notes mentioned a request for the pool pump, but if he would have called first to set up an appointment or confirm the details of the service request, then he would have learned the real problem. Once I directed him to the spa on the other side of my backyard, Scott didn't even diagnose or fix the spa problem. Instead, he kept asking me multiple times if I have spa coverage through my home warranty company (which I do have spa coverage) and seemed lazy like he didn't want to do the work. Scott then claimed there was no access to the spa even though there is plenty of room underneath the deck to access the spa on all four sides. I told him that other companies have been out to service the spa in the past and they never had a problem accessing it, and then Scott screamed at me "But we don't do that!" He didn't even try to fix the problem and simply said it wouldn't be covered under the home warranty. He stayed less than 10 minutes. He didn't even bother to put the cover back on the top of the spa before he left. I was then charged $75 for the 10 minutes they were here even though they didn't fix anything. I can't believe my home warranty company (American Home Shield) would use this company. I would not recommend this company to anyone and would not want them working anywhere near my pool or spa. I'm not surprised this company has such bad reviews all over the internet. Stay away. I want a refund of my $75 service charge.
