Recent Review: I am very happy to have the roof fixed. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to find someone so late in a very rainy summer. Folie Roofing fit my job in to their busy schedule. I was given an accurate estimate. The work was done quickly and professionally.

Recent Review: I was informed by the previous owners that the roof had been redone and  the garage now leaked. They told me the garage did not leak prior to Carlson Construction working on it.  I contacted Carlson Construction to stop the leak. He made several trips over the years. Sometimes, I even had the prior owner call him for help. He made many attempts to stop the leak including replacing some of the new shingles. Nothing he did corrected the problem. My brother  visiting from Chicago, finally repaired the leak with a couple beer cans in 2011 or 2012. The roofed leaked for 6 or 7 years and Carlson Construction never fixed the problem.

Recent Review: Provider has been unprofessional from the start. On day scheduled for new roof I received multiple calls from provider changing numerous things we had agreed to in contract. - he did not want to do a complete tear off. - he wanted to change color from white to black because tar was going to be messy. - he did not replace old fascia leaving a mess for me to deal with. - he chose not to install a drip edge and stated just because the manufacturer says you need it doesn't mean anything. - He also said we did not ask for it. - he did not install roofing felt or tar paper under shingles. Guess we did not ask for it either. Got tar on everything including interior as a result. - all roofing nails are exposed and now roof leaks badly in areas we have never had a leaks before. - he has come back 3 times to try to fix leaks and on the third time put new layer of roofing over leaky part of roof. - now we have a brand new leak as a result of 2nd layer. I called to let him know about new leak and he hung up on me and has not attempted to call back. I have caulked and sealed every seam and can not stop leak. It is now causing damage inside. Aside from being a leaky roof the entire roofing job looks very amateurish. I do not recommend this roofer. This has turned out to be a very expensive roof. We now have to hire someone who knows what they are doing to start over and do it right. Roofer has not responded to our request for a refund. Very stressful and disappointing experience.

Recent Review: They started on Wednesday  or Thursday but I wasn't availble to watch.  Friday they showed up at 8AM worked until 12:00 Noon then left for what I assumed was lunch break.  At that time a big section of the roof deck was completely exposed.  By 2:00 they still weren't back and with the forecast calling for rain I was concerned and called the salesman.  After my call and his 2+ hour break he came back to supposedly seal up everything up for the night.  Clearly he failed to secure the roof.  After the roof leaked he came back the next day and said he would have put tarps down but he didn't have any.  Eariler that morning the salesman told me the tarps were missing from the shop and the roofer must have them.  Also I saw a tarp Friday morning laying in the flower bed next to the house but the roofer must have taken it with him on Friday.  Then after all was done and the job was inspected by the owner who is "very fussy" who missed the drip edge was cut incorrectly exposing a large hole into the home.   It should have been disclosed that the roofing crew is unsupervised and consists of one man and occasionally his young son.  Even before the leak we had a communication breakdown and some of the parts weren't ordered.  In fact when I asked the roofer about the plumbing vents he gave me the impression they weren't even being replaced.  He then corrected that and said he would make sure the correct parts get sent along next time he comes. I signed a contract at a premium price and was promised professional service with a professional crew doing the work.  That was not even close to the experience I received.  The communication after the sale was horrible.   The "crew" was less than honest with me on more than one occasion and cut corners resulting in interior water damage to my home.  The office never answers the phone and sends customers to an answering service.  Definitely would not recommend. *** Update ***  I was given my final invoice this weekend requesting the full balance and the company asked me to sign a letter stating I would release them of all damages they caused to my home.  I refused to sign it.  After everything they did they still felt they deserved the full professional contract price.  I was also promised an independent report from the roof manufacturer that I was told personally inspected the job.  That report was never supplied, who knows if the roof was even inspected.  I would have been better off hiring a handy man out of the local paper.

DWestern Products
We needed a new roof due to wind damage.  The installation was contracted to Western Products in Fargo, ND.  The complete tear off and roofing project took a weekend to complete and looked great when finished.  The problems began when the roof leaked immediately during the next rain.  I contacted  Western Products.  I was called by Adam and told that there was no crew in my area and that he wanted the roofer who had done the work to see what the issue was.  He said that he would have a crew in our area the next week and that our roofer would be in town that week's Friday.  He said that if it rained again before then that he would have his team come earlier.  He failed to show up when it rained the next time.  No attempt was made to contact us.  On the Friday that we had arranged to meet, he did not show up again.  I called him at 5pm and he said that he had forgotten to schedule the repair in his planner.  He was no longer in town, and was not  coming to repair it that day.  Eventually  a team came out to the house (when I was at work) and said that there was flashing missing.  The next time it rained it leaked again.  I don't know if any attempt at repair was made or if they just came out and identified the problem.  I eventually had the original roofer come to my house and watched him complete a flashing repair.   I am waiting until Spring to see that the roof really is fixed before I have the water damage repaired.  The drywall is badly stained and the texture was rubbing off when it was saturated.  For me, the issue is the lack of communication and follow up when the problems happened.  The leak was unfortunate, but I feel that I am doing all the work to get someone to fix the problems that were created during the installation.
