Recent Review: Everything went very well. We got an appointment right away and the technician arrived promptly. The technician was courteous, professional and did a great job. There was a lot of dust and dirt! I am so happy I finally got this done. I am planning to hire them again for another relative's home.

Recent Review: We did some shopping around and this company was the cheapest in town. When we called to set up an appointment, the gentleman complained about us having to have the cleaning done in the afternoon. He said he would have to start at 2:30 p.m. He was a half hour late. He wouldn't help move the heavy furniture because he said it would bother his shoulders and back. I had used this company in the past to clean the ducts in my old home and they did all of the work. They even took the vent covers outside and cleaned them. He refused to do this service for us this time. He then continued to complain about the vent covers and suggested that we go and buy new ones. He knocked one of my husband's deer mounts off of the wall but tried to make excuses as to why it fell and did not apologize. He had his daughter dropped off at our house and he told her that "with jobs like this one, I would prefer to do them early in the day." If you are going to complain about a job, do not do it in front of the customer. He did not screw any of the vent covers back on. The one that he did attempt to put back on was all bent out of shape from him trying to knock it into place and he left one of the screws sticking out 1/2 inch. My husband had removed all of the screws from the vent covers for him because he complained about having to do that. When my husband looked for the screws where he had left them, they were missing. He found them scattered throughout the rooms. We were happy when he left and we didn't have to listen to his complaining anymore. Though this company is the cheapest in town, and he did do a thorough cleaning, I would recommend spending a little more money for the extra service and no complaints from the person doing the job.

Recent Review: We purchased a formerly rented townhome that was VERY dirty. We had the ducts cleaned via a Groupon, but got what we paid for. I contacted Dust Doctors and they did a fantastic job getting the "cooties" out of our house. I've also recommended them to a co-worker.

Recent Review: They were very thorough.  They did a good job.  It took call day to do it and it was only one person.  He took all the registers off in every room and cleaned all of it.  He had a machine with a camera so he could see it while he was cleaning the duct.  He did a super job.  We are confident that the ducts are clean now.  The price was okay and mostly higher than some of the others.

ADust Doctors
We called Dust Doctors after reading all of the good reviews here on Angie's List. We emailed the company using the link provided here and they promptly called us to discuss their services. It was so easy to get an accurate quote as they estimated $99 for a set up fee, and then just $10 per vent. So I  knew exactly what to expect for a price. I felt it was more than reasonable. We set up a date to have the vents cleaned, and they provided us with a two hour window in which they would arrive the day of the appointment. They even called us they day of to tell us about what time they expected to be there. Which was nice, as I knew how much time I had to put the baby down for a nap! I appreciated that! They arrived on time and explained what they were doing and why. The technicians were professional and knowledgeable. They suggested that we have the furnace cleaned as it was "filthy." I didn't doubt this as it had never been done in the 8 years we've lived in our house. They worked quickly and efficiently, and did a good job. They said they couldn't easily use the video inspection following the cleaning, as our duct work was older and they had to use the whip technique vs. the rotobrush, which has the camera attached. But they offered to put a camera in the ducts and show us what they could reach. We said it wasn't necessary. My husband did put his cell phone in the cold air return and shot some short video out of curiosity and the vent was spotless. I was very happy with the work Dust Doctors did and would call them again or recommend them. I now feel better about the air circulating through the house!! We'll have the ducts cleaned every two years, as they suggested and we'll call Dust Doctors back again to do the work.

They were okay. I asked to see how much dirt did you get out of my duct work and they said oh it all goes into one big bag so we cant tell how much of it is yours,

ARon's Mechanical Inc
Technicians John and Joe arrived around 10:00 A.M. and setup to do the AeroSealing. They put down floor covering on all of the areas that would require foot traffic. Joe went through the house and sealed all of the return duct openings and all of the supply duct openings with special foam plugs. John ran rests on the Return Ductwork which showed a leakage of 349 CFM, equivalent to a 66 square-inch hole in the return ducts. After the AeroSeal, this leakage was reduced to 2 CFM leakage or a less than a .25 square-inch hole in the return ducts. The test on the supply ductwork showed a leakage of 278 CFM, equivalent to a 53 square inch hole in the supply ducts. After the AeroSealing, this leakage was reduced to 2 CFM leakage, again less than a .25 square-inch hole in the supply ducts. After the sealing, Joe removed the seals from all of the return duct openings and replaced the grill covers and removed the seals from the supply ducts, replacing the vent covers. They vacuumed up any debris that had gotten on the floors while working, packed up their equipment and were on their way by 4:00 P.M. If you had not known they had been working in the house, you wouldn't have known they had been there. I have noticed much better flow from the supply vents in the ceiling and floor and can tell that the return vents are doing a better job of pulling air back through the system. The AeroSealing should vastly improve the efficiency of both the heating and air conditioning of the house as well as better dust control.

ACAPTAIN CLEAN
We discovered a dead rodent in one of our vents after the smell spread through the house. We removed the mouse but also noticed lots of dirt and debris in the duct work. We just moved into this 45 year old house about 6 months ago and so we decided it was time to get the duct work cleaned. Over a year ago (while living in a different home) I had a duct work cleaner come out from another company (dust doctors) and I really wasn't too impressed...they worked hard and fast but left a mess to clean up and seemed in more of a rush than anything. So I asked around and was told about Captain Clean from another HVAC company. I contacted them and the owner soon called me back. He asked basic details about the house and gave me an accurate price and time needed for the work estimate. I scheduled for the work be done and the technician showed up on time on the date specified, worked very diligently, offered explanations and answered questions and seemed to do a very thorough job. I paid $590 for all of our duct work to be cleaned and our home is 2700 square feet. When I used dust doctors I paid close to $400 for a home that's about 1500 square feet, so pricing is very comparable but I think Captain Clean was more personable and did not leave a mess behind. I would not hesitate to use them again.

AK & S Heating and Air Conditioning
The sales person from Kand S was very informative in explaining the various options and very patient answering all of my questions without any of the dreaded pushiness. I had bids from 4 different companies, narrowed it down to two brands (Carrier and Lennox). Both brands were comparable in pricing and features. It came down to timing. I wanted to have this work done before mid-August and the manufacture rebates for Carrier weren't going to be available until mi-September where as the Lennox were currently available. I am very happy with the decision to go with Kand S and Lennox. The full crew arrived promptly at 7:30 on installation day, very professional, friendly and courteous. They covered the floors from the doors to the utility room with tarps to protect the carpet and cleaned up after themselves. They also took the time to go over all the controls and maintenance items (filters, etc), set up the wireless thermostat and gave a tutorial on how to use it. They completed the work as promised and within the estimated time.

AK & S Heating and Air Conditioning
Bryan Hanson came out to provide us with an estimate for replacing our furnaces. He spent a lot of time providing information and options. He completed the quote and delivered it to us while at our home so we didn't have to wait. K and S installed 2 high efficiency Lennox furnaces and a new furnace mounted humidifier in our home. They also cleaned our ductwork and replaced all of our thermostats and a zone damper motor. The installers took great care to cover the floor and keep everything in our home clean while they removed the old furnaces. The work was done on time and the installers were all very friendly and professional. They provided a great deal of helpful information. There was a problem with the circuit board of the new humidifier being defective, but they ordered a replacement and installed it at a later date. They also helped us with various rebate submissions. After the install and once we were actively using the new furnaces, and because we have multiple heating zones in our home, we had to figure out how to set the thermostats and fan controls for optimum performance and Bryan Hanson came out to consult with us at no additional charge. K and S met and exceeded my expectations in service and quality of work.
