Recent Review: ramblerThey did the design work and estimates for the construction. They arranged all the subcontractors for re-roofing, re-siding and construction of a 20-28 ft addition to the house including basement. The work was done in a top notch fashion with the subs doing a good, punctual job on the various aspects of the project. The design and estimates were creative and accurate so the project came out as we had envisioned it and right on budget. The communication between us and the supervisor, designer and workmen was excellent with little difficulty on any of the myriad of details involved in a project of this size. There were a couple of errors on the part of Dotty Brothers which potentially could have been expensive for us. They stood behind their work and made good on the errors. I would highly recommend these people for anyone doing a small or large building or remodeling project. They have the resources and professionalism to do a first rate job either on something you have in mind or something they would design for you. I would be pleased to talk with anyone considering Dotty Brothers regarding this review.
Business Description: Marcus Building Movers has been moving buildings, structures and equipment since 1975. The company actually came about through an integral need of Dick G. Marcus, eventual company founder, owner and operator.
In 1975 Dick needed a shed moved, while waiting to have it moved by a structural moving company he decided he was going to do the job himself. As a problem-solving farmer and skillful mechanic who was known for "thinking outside the box," he knew he could handle the task. Plus he had five sons he knew would assist him during the moving process.
Dick bought-out a mover from New London, Minnesota specifically for their moving equipment and then moved his first structure, a shed. From there Marcus Building Movers was established and began to grow, relocating new and larger structures throughout the years. Eventually Dick’s three sons, Garvin, Marlin and Jerry Marcus, became partners and bought him out. Technology advancements and industry procedure changes altered the structural moving and building relocation business. Changing methods from the use of manual jacks and homemade dollies to efficient hydraulic jacks utilizing a sophisticated unified jacking system, hydraulic dollies and hundreds of tons of steel beams of varying lengths to move any type of structure.
Today Marcus Building Movers is in its third generation of successful operation. Eric, Dan and Kevin, sons of Garvin, Marlin and Jerry have taken part in the family business. We continually strive to maintain our reputable building mover status and have been honored with numerous awards and titles presented to us at annual IASM and Midstates Moving Association conventions.
Business Description: We are a full service General Contractor building new custom homes and garages, and remodels. We also build to your plans or ours. We will also do small jobs and subcontracting to other contractors for the do-it-yourself homeowner/contractor.
I engaged Tysdal Construction as the General Contractor on a Commercial Office Building and would do so over and over again. He helped carry the project from design (very interactive program that allowed you to see what the finished product would look like before even breaking ground), to a very complex permitting process involving Government Regulation, to keeping us on time even and on budget. They were awesome at communicating everything during the construction phase to keep us informed. I would contract with Jerame and his crew again if i had the need.

Tysdal did a great job. Very professional, kind, and timely. They went over the top to get the work done. All employees were professional, courteous and kind. Thank you Tysdal Construction for doing a great job. Some of the work they did required some real configuring and ingenuity because of the way one of the walls was situated. It turned out beautiful!!!

ADuluth Shed Co
Owen began the work building my shed on the day we agreed upon. He was well organized and brought all the materials he needed with him. He was timely and easy to work with. He clearly knew what he was doing, he worked steadily and took the time to answer my questions. Owen also performed some extra building related services like re-screening some windows, installing five windows that I had refinished, and adding extra caulk where needed. The building is level, very well constructed with top-of-the- line materials (including architectural roofing tiles). Owen was willing to provide some extra materials and touches to the building that were not in the original plan at no extra charge. I am extremely satisfied with the work he performed and with the end result...a beautiful , useful building constructed to last for many years to come.

We were incredibly happy with his service and professionalism. He helped us make choices to save money (his pricing is very fair) and was very flexible with us when the permit process caused a delay in the start date of the project. Once we had the permits in place Charlie and his crew got the project finished quickly. The work is of very high quality and we will use him again in the future.

AKevin A. Yeager Studio of Design
Kevin handled every step of our project from concept drawings to finish. He did the plans and worked with us to choose a builder through bids and an assessment of their capabilities. He managed the project flawlessly even though we were in California for 4 months during construction. Kevin is extremely creative, a masterful communicator and fun to work with. He is always available for questions even years after the project. We would do it again in a heartbeat and highly recommend him.

STARTED FOUR WEEKS LATE FROM START DATE. WHEN CUSTOMER WASN'T THERE, BUILT RAILINGS WRONG, EVEN WHEN THEY HAD A PICTURE OF CUSTOMERS WISHES. COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT DOING THE DECK RAILING.

They completed the building in a timely manner. They went out of their way to make sure the wall panels were done correctly at the factory. Very nice work.

AShepard Excavating & Septic Service
Shepard helped us determine how much fill we would need to prevent water in our new building. ?At the same time as they did the site prep for the building they also did the install of the tank for our new privy. ?They worked quickly and their pricing was the best we could find in the area. ?Shepard was recommended to us by our neighbor as well as the septic designer we used for the project.
