Recent Review: I had four contractors bid the job. Youngcastle was in the upper middle range. I selected Youngcastle because there wasn't anything in either job that they weren't confident they couldn't do. Based on what I wanted, they came back with a computer generated diagram of what both of my bathrooms would look like completed. This and their very detailed step by step description of what each bathroom entailed was the deciding factor in hiring Youngcastle. Demitri did all of the work on my bathrooms. He was very careful with my home by removing all of my wall hangings so they would not fall when doing the main demolition. He always covered my floors with tarps and hung plastic over my furniture and tables to help protect them from the dust Each day he would let me know what he had finished and what he would accomplish the next day. Except for tile, sink, shower doors, light fixtures, paint, mirrors, etc; he would shop for whatever he needed to do the job. He would give me all of the receipts for what he purchased. After I painted the main bathroom, the color I selected was not right, it just did not go with the tile. I told Demitri to go ahead and put in the sink, toilet, medicine cabinet, and light fixture, I would re-paint later. He called said he would wait a couple of days for me to repaint the bathroom so I didn't have to deal with painting around all of the fixtures. That was a life saver. After the jobs were finished, I changed my mind on where one of the towel bars was hung and asked Demitri if he would come and move it to a different wall. He came two days later and move it for me, he also put up a valence bar for me. and quot;Above and beyond the call of duty.and quot; I'm very pleased with both of my bathrooms. Demitri did a beautiful job. My brother, who is critical and short to give a compliment, said my main bathroom was gorgeous, and that the basement bathroom was a vast improvement and now, actually looks like a bathroom. I would definitely hire Youngcastle again.
Recent Review: Jamie of JGF Remodeling is absolutely wonderful. We put the project out for bids, we got 3 bids, Jamie came in lower than the others which was expected because he was charging labor alone, we would buy the material, we went to the tile outlet and he came with us and we used his discount and bought tiles, electrical outlets and a tub all through his discount. He then showed up and totally transformed the old non-functional bathroom in a work of art in 4-5 days. He is one of the friendliest, most thorough contractor that I have ever worked with.
Recent Review: He was very prompt and talked about all the work he would be doing. He met my timeline.  The tile works was awesome and I love the in-floor heating!  I would definitely go with them again on my next project.

DAPEX Construction Management LLC
I filled out the contact page on Apex's website (linked from Angie's List) looking to get a quote on a bathroom upgrade, which I assumed would involve scheduling a visit. I did receive a reasonably prompt reply; however, that reply was simply to ask for a phone number for Apex to call me. I responded with my phone number and an explanation that I had not included it in the first place, because email is a far more effective and efficient way to communicate with me. I then received a few voicemails from Apex, but never providing anything other than a request to call them back. On at least one of these occasions, I was actually home, but did not answer the call, because, for reasons I can't explain, whatever phone system Apex uses does not identify itself to my caller ID, and I do not answer unidentified calls. After a couple weeks of this, I followed up with another email, re-explained the situation, and asked if they could reply via email with whatever information they needed from me to move forward, and I would supply it. Again, I received a reasonably prompt email reply, stating that they always ask three questions: 1) description of work to be done, 2) budget, and 3) time frame. I was a little put off by the request for a job description, since I had provided that with the initial contact form, but I figured that since we were at least corresponding now, I'd humor them. I provided another (fairly detailed) description of what I was looking to have done, as well as the time frame I was looking to have the work completed (at the time, about 4-5 months in the future). In regard to the budget, I again explained that I was looking for quotes, so that while I did have an ideal figure I was hoping to stay within (which I also provided), I was more interested in getting a quote from them than worrying about how much I was able/willing to spend. That was five weeks ago, and I've never heard anything more from them. I don't know if they just decided my job was too small (if so, why do they advertise that they do bathrooms?), if they just couldn't be bothered to via email (if so, why do they have a contact form on their website?), if they just didn't want to put something in writing (which would be a major red flag if so), or some other reason. Regardless, they've apparently decided they don't even want to schedule a visit, let alone provide a quote and hopefully score some business. If hired, they may do great work, but if they make it this difficult just to schedule a visit to get a quote, I can only imagine what a nightmare of communication actually working with them could turn into.

VIP did an excellent job remodeling our bathroom. Each employee or sub did very good work, especially Scott who spent the most time on the project. Cleaned up at the end of every day so it didn't feel like we were living in a construction zone. Every one of their people were very friendly and courteous. They kept us informed of the project status and told us daily when they would be back, which was pretty much most days until we had to wait for the countertops to be cut and installed by Cambria. We are very happy with the end result.

ACountry Creek Builders Inc
This was the fourth project that Country Creek Builders did for us so it's obvious we feel they do awesome work. Whether we deal with Dan, Dave or any other member of their team, everyone is always knowledgeable, courteous, and completes quality work. We worked primarily with Dave on this particular project and he was terrific to work with. We were always kept informed as to the status of the project and what and who to expect when. Whether the job is small (as this one was) or extensive (which we've done before), the quality of Country Creek Builders is consistently high. I highly recommend them for any remodeling project.

ARegal Remodelers Inc
Regal Remodelers worked on a bathroom project I had, and I couldn’t be more delighted with their work, and their staff. Mike was very responsive when I left a message, and throughout the work he was clear in his communication about the process and timing. His team was courteous, friendly, and finished up earlier than the predicted timeline. I was concerned about the mess however Regal went over and above to keep the mess to a minimum with protective covering and daily clean up. I will definitely call them again for future projects!

The guys at Mark's plumbing are very professional and courteous. The bathroom remodel they did for me was far more economical compared to the lowest bid I got from a remodeler. The response time and follow-up is great before and after the job is done. They warranty their work and sent someone to fix a small leak the same day after the fixtures had been installed. I highly recommend them for any plumbing and bathroom remodeling work.

AA to Z Contracting Inc.
We had a great experience with A to Z Tile and Stone. They did a really great job and even went above and beyond when we encountered a couple of issues that we did not expect and outside their control. Val consulted with us, clearly explained the issue, and did some extra work to make sure we had our project completed on-time. We are completely satisfied and we I highly recommend A to Z for your next project.

We decided to finally update the main bathroom in our home and wanted to have it done for our sons graduation party. We meet with Bob and told him what we had in mind, he worked with his team and sub-contractors, and  came through on everything  and then some. Bob was able to get the job done on time and budget.  The crew  used drop  clothes and pick up after themselves daily,if it wasn't for my curiosity  to see how it was going each day when I got home, that I had to go open the door to see what got done while we where at work .we wouldn't have know that there were workmen in the house. I will be giving Bob a call again when we are ready for are next update. We are so happy with our updated bathroom the fixtures, vanity, sink ...  it looks so rich .  Loving it!

The project went well. We were told that the work should take 2 to 2 1/2 weeks to complete. In spite of some delivery problems caused by the tile supplier, Shawn was able to finish the work within that time frame. Tear out, which included removing an old whirlpool tub, wall and floor tile, wallboard, toilet, mirror and vent fan, was completed in one day. When installing the new vent fan, Shawn discovered a problem with our vent system which he was able to partially correct now and will complete later when the snow is off our roof. During the installation stage he each day informed us what he would be working on and what to expect over the next several days. We were amazed at how much he accomplished each day. On small projects such as ours, it's an advantage to have a person like Shawn who can handle a variety of trades, i.e. plumbing, carpentry, electrical, tiling, etc. It saves time and it saves money. He also insists on buying top line supplies and fixtures, and doing a first class job of installation so you end up with a quality project. We now have a bathroom with new tub and shower, new floor and wall tile, new lights, mirrors and toilet, and the quietest vent fan around. Thanks Shawn!
