Recent Review: It went great. It took about a month longer than we wanted for him to get here, but we really can't help the rain. The weather wasn't exactly working in our favor. When they did get here, Ben and his employee finished the entire job within two days. they were very professional, he had to have the city come out and move a water shut off a little higher, and he actually took the city guys tools, and did the final adjustments so that he would not have to come back out to do it again, Very proffesional and very helpful to the city employee. He even hydro seeded a back hill that we had that didn't seem to be able to grow grass for us. We will use Ben Wolden Landscaping again in the future. He was reliable, helpful, and attentive to what my wife wanted done to the yard. A great experience.

Recent Review: Bob Champa is ALWAYS reliable. In addition to doing work around the house he has been our first responder for PerMar. I never worry about the house when we aren't in Ely because Bob will take care of anything that comes up throughout the year. Without him we could not maintain the house.   We have used Bob since we came to Ely ~2005. He helped us get ready when we had a wedding, that included laying some flagstone for steps. He has followed us through a dock choice disaster and suggested a solution which works on our windy point. He has recommended our best ever electrician, plumber, boat track marina person. I just wish we had him in 2004 to consult with before we choose a contractor, electrician, plumber, excavator, CAD, tile installer, painter. Every recommendation from our contractor was an expensive disaster.

Recent Review: Overall, my husband and I were very pleased with Jack's work.  He was professional, timely, and the finished product was exactly what we were expecting.  We will be completing another landscaping project sometime in the next year or so and Jack will be our "go to" person for that project too. Other notables: 1.  Jack's work also came with a "one year guarantee," which we almost took advantage of when we thought that our hydrangea tree hadn't made it through its first winter.  Jack came out and took a look at it and offered to replace it if we weren't happy.  We decided to give it a bit longer before uprooting it and replacing it with another...as it turned out the tree blossomed and has looked great every year since. 2.  Jack was willing to work with my husband (a fast-learning "do it yourself-er") and offered a small discount on the labor portion of our bill. 3.  The only "downside" to the entire project, in my opinion, is that the sedum plants were planted next to the walkway to our front door.  I specifically asked that these be placed elsewhere due to the fact that even though they are pretty they do tend to attract flies, bees, etc.  When I got home from work I found them planted...next to the walkway.  Had we asked Jack to move them elsewhere, I'm sure he would have done so in a heartbeat.  However, my husband and I decided to "live with it" since they only bloom once and do so late in the season.  We decided that if it turned into a problem we could simply remove them ourselves and plant something else in their spots. As I previously mentioned, overall the project went very well and we will not hesitate to use Jack's Nursery and Landscaping again in the future.

not well, grass was poorly done, no felt put down on landscaped area and weeds are coming up constantly, very disappointed.

DABRA LANDSCAPING LLC
Initially they were very professional and responsive, stone work looks great, however one of the spruce trees died within a month due to improper planting and they  would only cover ½ the price. The new tree was crooked. Sod did not take root, it was green but could still be pulled up  from the surface a year later. Plants planted in flower beds were not appropriate for the type of light. For example the area that gets no sun had plants that required direct sun. They would not replace them. Native grasses also did not grow, due to inappropriate light requirements. Over all the plants and grass did not grow well, and most died even with adequate watering.  We also had some areas planted with wild flowers. Very few flowers bloomed, most of it was thistles and other weeds. Very disappointed since we had saved a long time to be able to afford this project.  We used their lawn mowing and fertilization service for a year. They used huge machines that tore up some of the grass when turning.  Irrigation system over watered some areas and was inadequate in others.

CNATURES GARDEN WORLD
They came out and quoted the price. We wanted our childrens Playhouse moved 10x16 moved around the corner of our house, we wanted a parking pad put in, gravel and crushed asphalt, and new grass planted and add 6-7 lilac bushes. We were quoted 2800.00 bu another landscape company that came in, and then natures garden world came in at 4982.70 over 2000.00 higher than the other company for the exact same work. The person who came out to do the quote was very nice, and knew what we were looking for when we were describing what we wanted done. They were just to high priced Needless to say we went with Ben Wolden landscaping, This day in age you have to be competitive in your bidding.

FSpring Touch Lawn & Pest Control
Absolute worst experience. First they applied the weed preventer spray about 4 weeks too late. When they finally did come we watched from our house and the "lawn tech" didn't spray half the lawn. Needless to say we still  had weeds everywhere a week or 2 later. We called the offered to come and re-spray for free which was great.  This is the part where you should not hire Spring touch. The are not a lawn "care" service. The only care about handing out as many invoices as they can. 4 days after the 2nd spray they came again to spray for the 3rd application. If they really cared for lawns they would not have came so soon. I ran out and told the guy to stop spraying but he had already sprayed my entire back yard. I called and explained the entire situation to them. The lady of the phone didn't seem to care and told me a manager would call me back. The manager called me back 2 days later at 5pm. he was very condescending and rude. Not much help. Anyways... 4 days pass and I come home from work and my lawn had been Sprayed AGAIN!. I have a small dog a 2 year old and a pregnant wife and so far have had to have spent the entire summer with chemical sprayed on my lawn because of Spring Touch's Incompetence. Again I called, same  run around. Said they would send someone to look. Anyway... 2 weeks later, yard full of dead grass and they aren't taking any responsibility for it. Avoid Spring Touch at all costs. Your grass will literally do better without their service. They pride themselves as a small local business. Couldn't be more false. All they care about is sending out invoices. Lastly the last manager a talked with was the biggest jerk.
