Recent Review: This was our second flooring purchase from Hiller's. This time we bought Congoleum Airstep vinyl flooring and their crew installed the floor in our kitchen and dining room. The purchase price and installation charge were very reasonable. The installers did a great job despite facing some unexpected complications (some of the existing floor had to be removed and needed some leveling). They were very thorough and provided useful information regarding the care and maintenance of the floor. The installers were also very personable and tolerant of my lingering around to watch the installation process.
Recent Review: I had Robb come out to look at replacing the wood floor on the main level of my townhome. He was very quick to respond to my inquiry and was very helpful when he came out to look at my floor. There was large bowing in my kitchen and because it appeared that the floor was glued to the concrete the entire main floor needed to be replaced. He was very through and prompt in his scheduling a time to look at the floor and his estimate. The ONLY reason I ended up with another contractor was because the timeline he would be able to start working. The floor ended up being water damage and I needed it remediated sooner rather than later due to mold. When I have my bathrooms redone it will be Robb I call.
Recent Review: Can't say enough good things about Flooring Investments. Easily the best experience of our entire remodel. No pressure sales, lots of large bring-home samples, best pricing of five different quotes. Install was prompt and clean-up was complete.
Recent Review: So far I have had 3 wood floors installed in two different houses by Ron and his crew. The new wooden floors are beautiful. One of the houses was built in 1946 and a nice wood floor that needed some boards replaced so Ron matched the wood perfectly. We also extended the wood floor into the kitchen and hallway. In our sunroom we added newer wooden laminate product that looks like slate. Their work is meticulous. The replaced the corner bead molding they had to pull up to put in the floors for no extra cost. They were on time and professional at all times. I would not hesitate to use them again.
Recent Review: It went great. Bob showed up when he said he would. Re-stretched my carpet to connect to a new kitchen floor that I installed. He was very accommodating and reasonably priced. If you need to have some carpet work done I would have bob do it.
Recent Review: I went on lunch break to get quote. They had lots of selection for carpet and bamboo flooring. Teragreen, a high quality brand bamboo flooring, was for sale at the most reasonable price I've seen. Lots of carpet selection too. Corn made carpet for $3.50-4.50 sq ft. Total Estimate = 10K, 8K without bamboo install. Higher price than I was looking for, but if I had the money I would have been happy to give them my business. They were attentive, welcoming, and knowledge about all the flooring products in the store.
He did a good job. He did the whole job in just one day. I thought he was up-front; I trusted him. The only problem was that I had to sweep up after him a bit.

THEY FIRST MADE A MISTAKE WITH THE MEASURING. THE FLOOR WE PICKED WAS SPECIAL ORDER. WE WERE TOLD IT WOULD TAKE TWO WEEKS. IT TOOK OVER THREE WEEKS AND ONCE IT ARRIVED THEY REFUSED TO DELIVER IT. MY HUSBAND PICKED UP THE FLOORING AND WE HAD TO CARRY IT INTO OUR HOUSE. THERE WERE 30 CASES OF VERY HEAVY FLOORING AND SEVERAL BOXES OF OTHER ITEMS. ONCE INSIDE WE REALIZED THAT WE HAD THE WRONG FLOOR. APPARENTLY THEY PLACED THE ORDER WRONG. THE FLOOR WAS REORDERED AND TOOK OVER TWO WEEKS TO ARRIVE. HEY DID THEN DELIVER IT TO US. OUR WHOLE KITCHEN PROJECT WAS ON HOLD UNTIL THE FLOOR WAS PUT IN. OUR KITCHEN WOULD HAVE BEEN DONE MORE THAN A MONTH SOONER IF NOT FOR HOME DEPOTS MISTAKES. WHEN YOU HAVE FOUR YOUNG KIDS AND YOU'RE LIVING WITHOUT A KITCHEN A MONTH IS A REALLY LONG TIME! THE COMPANY THAT HOME DEPOT SUBCONTRACTED TO INSTALL THE FLOOR DID A GOOD JOB. AFTER SPENDING OVER $5000 AND GOING THROUGH ALL THAT STRESS THE PEOPLE WHO INSTALLED THE FLOOR WOULDN'T TAKE THEIR TRASH WITH THEM. THE

It went well. Initially, I was concerned because the installer was over an hour late and I had to get in to work. Tom was unable to get the installer on his cell phone and apologized for the issue. The house isn't easy to find however, he did eventually arrive and did a great job. No one thought I would be able to place new flooring in the bathroom due to the dip but the installer fixed the issue and the floor looks fabulous. Although the floor was put down in a relatively small space, it makes a world of difference and everyone who has come over absolutely loves it as do I. The quality of the work far outweighs the issue with punctuality.

FMels Floor Refinishing
NEVER WORK WITH MEL'S !!!!!!! I hired Mel to refinish floors in one of our apartments. He sent his two sons to do the work a young guy and a minor (14 YEARS OLD!) The work was done so poorly that it looked worse then when they started the job. They even smashed up a row of tiles leading to the kitchen without my permission or knowledge. The work was so sloppy that sadly we were not able to save the floors. With only three days before our new renter moves I had to hire contractors who came today and installed a Pergo floor over what could have been 100 year old refinished floors. A contractor who sends out 14 years old to preform the work should not be on Angies List! Mel's Flooring was the worst contractor we have ever worked with!

ABecker Carpet and Flooring
We were clueless on our options, but we did know that if were going to spend the money...we wanted something that made sense with our lifestyle and the open floor plan of our home. I found Tom on Angie's List, and called him. Over three weeks time, Tom made two trips to our home to explore our options. He showed up on time and spent about 5 hours total over the two visits teaching us about our options for different flooring, how they would "wear" after time, and how to maintain them. Tom also brought many samples and a fantastic color selection. The job to install was scheduled around our personal schedule. His team of installers (3 of them) showed up on time and were absolutely fantastic! They tore out the old flooring and hauled it away. They installed over 180 square yards of carpet (main level, stairs, and upstairs) along with 280 square feet of engineered hardwood in the kitchen. They were very neat and clean. In the end....the floors look great.

AAnton's Floorcovering LLC
Anton’s crew did a nice job. He’s very conscientious and wants a quality job and for the customer to be satisfied. He’s a pleasant guy to speak with and informative. Despite a misunderstanding on the leveling of the floor and cost and a couple minor wall-scuffs he offered to correct, I am very happy with the job. They honored an Angie’s List discount. Very satisfied with the floors. Good work

FFloor Coverings International
I contacted the Better Busiess B I am on a fixed income and can't afford a new one at this time. I should not have to replace a floor with a 2 year time frame. The Flooring International of Woodbury owner told me good luck they would not do anything for me. They would not acknowledge SHAW report that the subfloor was not level when installed. They just kept on about my cats and my clealing the floor with a steam cleaner ruined my floor which I cleaned my PERGO Floor for 15 years prior with out any problems. The ownertold me at that time I could not clean the floors just wipe it with a damp cloth. I would never agreed to this floor that I could not clean. This job was not at all the professional manner that they were claiming to be. I had non proffesional installers that did not know anything about the floor they were installing otherwise they wouldn't hamerered the boards together to make them fit which damaged the boards that resulted in my total failure of the floor. People who are looking for professionals for a floor and installation should not use this flooring company. BEWARE OF THESE FLOORING SPECIALIST

ADick's Metro Flooring
GREAT experience! I had gone to two major home centers and three tiling contractors for estimates on removing and replacing our old kitchen flooring. It seemed like no one was willing to do it all. But then I found Dick's on Angie's List and shopping for a new floor became easy. Dorothy came over within a week of me walking into the shop, helped me choose a great, durable floor for our heavy traffic kitchen, and she even had Tom (he installs the flooring) come over while she was there to plan the installation. Tom even cut short a family trip to install our floor before my parents' visited our new house for the first time - all this within three weeks of me walking into the shop! Tom was always on time and cleaned up behind himself, he removed all the old flooring AND moved and reconnected the appliances, he installed the floor beautifully and even came back a couple days later to see how the floor was working out. I highly recommend Dick's! Thanks so much to the Dick's team!
