Recent Review: The garage door opener installer came by and said he could not install the new opener as an extension cord used with the old one would not be suitable. I called Mark, and in about an hour he was on the job. Mark was professional in every way. Roger Gale

Recent Review: Rod at "After-5 Electric" carefully listened to the work we needed to have done and gave us several options for lighting and electical outlets. He worked seamlessly in conjunction with the contractor who was finishing the basement walls and coordinated the inspection with the city at the end of the job. The end product was great and very affordable. "After-5 Electric" was very professional, honest, friendly, accommodating to our schedules, and was an overall pleasure to work with.

Recent Review: Mint Property Services did an exceptional job. They were professional and punctual, and communicated well throughout the process regarding progress and timelines. They completed all items to degrees that met or exceeded expectations. Jason, the owner, is very patient and helpful. He was also very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of our questions concerning installing this stove in a manufactured home. During installation of tile on wall and floor, they paid great attention to detail and thoughtfully arranged the tile to ensure an even and aesthetically pleasing distribution of colors\patterns. They also provided much helpful input regarding options, as my wife and I had it far from nailed down when we called them. The tile turned out great, and after a few months of use and the dropping of several large pieces of oak on it, it has held up with no cracks or other issues. They completed custom carpentry work of their own design to trim out all of the tile. It looks good and "fits" the character of the stove and tile perfectly. The installation of the stove and all associated items also went very well. The stove was installed perfectly in regard to location and orientation, it draws perfectly, and after several heavy rains, we have experienced leaks around the chimney. We couldn't be more pleased.

Recent Review: Rick came out with the General Contractor and other subs to look at the entire project. Based on the cabinet design we wanted, electrical outlets and switches had to be moved, capped off a 220 line that we no longer would need, but left for future use if our needs changed, rewired and installed new lighting fixtures, added a new electrical line to eliminate over load on a an existing circuit, installed lighting within our cabinets, replaced old outlets and installed new dimmer switches in three different areas. Rick returned his bid in a timely manner. We thought the pricing was more then fair. They showed up on time as scheduled. They worked closely with the other subs to ensure all issues were resolved preventing any delays. While most of his work is internal to the walls, there were several design elements that were involved. We ordered black switches and outlets. Rick did not think the dimmer switches that we originally had would have looked right, so instead of just installing them to be done with the job, we special ordered them. He accommodated our schedule during the install and even came out on a Saturday morning to finish the install of the dimmers. The job came in as bid even with some modifications that were required due to the cabinet design. Rick and his crew are very personable, have a great since of humor, took pride in their work, and are true professionals!

Recent Review: I contacted Mister Sparky this morning regarding a light fixture that had not been working in our home office.  I made the call around 9:00 a.m. and was told that someone would be out to our home between 1:00 and 4:00 p.m.  (Same day!)  The person answering the phone explained that there was a $79.00 Service/Travel Fee and that "Straightforward Pricing" would be provided, by the electrician, before any work was actually performed.  She explained that the Service/Travel Fee would be above and beyond the parts/labor fees. I personally don't believe in paying Service/Travel Fees on top of part/labor fees in situations in which a service is actually being performed and I don't typically do business with companies that charge such fees.  However, in mentioning that I thought the $79 fee was extremely high for a Service/Travel Fee and that I would need to check around with some other local electricians, the woman on the phone offered to waive the fee as long as work was actually performed.  If no work ended up being performed then she said the $79 fee would apply.  I was fine with that approach so I asked her to send someone out.  The electrician called our home around Noon to explain that he was on his way and should be arriving in about an hour.  (He was also kind enough to ask if that timeframe would still work for me).  Upon arriving, promptly around 1:00 p.m., the gentleman introduced himself as Jay Lewis, 30-year electrician (and Master Electrician).  He asked me to explain the problem/issue and then put "covers" on his shoes before we headed to the office so that he could actually take a look.  He thought he knew exactly what the problem was (and that it was likely the light switch itself, not the fixture) but said that he would take a look, provide an estimate, and review the estimate with me before performing any work.  The problem did end up being something different than what he expected but he showed me exactly what was wrong and he explained why he thought it had happened.  The work estimate was initially $103 (for the situation that I made the call about) but after I explained that we had a couple of other light switches that were doing the same thing he offered to take a look at those as well -- bumping the work estimate up to $151.  I felt that was a fair fee so I approved the work.  Jay performed the work in a little less than one hour, cleaned up after himself, and processed my payment, via credit card, right on the spot.  He then explained the warranty and left his name and cell phone number with me in case I had any questions or experienced any problems.

ACODE PLUS ELECTRIC INC
Perry/Code Plus arrived with another electrician the next morning (both took their shoes off when entering!) with the lighting fixtures needed and all other supplies ready to get to work...they quickly covered the master bedroom work area carefully with tarps, and progressed very quickly to cut the ceiling holes, wire and install the lighting and fans in the bedroom and living areas. I was impressed with how he communicated progress, as well as options for light switches, dimmers, etc. to us. The living area was also completely covered with tarps to protect wall mounted TV, leather furniture, floor, etc....very carefully. He completed the project within 2 1/2 days....very efficient, professional, clean, and pleasant. He provided advice on ceiling fan selection, kitchen fixture lighting selection and offered to return to install the 1 fan that will arrive later. The hand trenching done in the yard was also done as cleanly as possible with little impact to the lawn, replacing the turf that was dug up, leaving little sign of what was done. The exterior electrical box was installed professionally, repairing the previous installation so it looks much better.Perry also provided us with referrals for some other roofing repair work and other small jobs we need done.Overall, very impressed with the responsiveness, professionalism and very fair pricing provided by Code Plus Electric.
