Business Description: my company is small, just me, depending on the size of the job, will determine the need for a extra set of hands or two. I use subcontractors for the following, Elec., Plumbing, and heating and cooling, for which I am not licensed for, if permits are required. As for permits, I can pull other necessary permits if required. I am licensed and insured, My Michigan Builders License #2101193216. I don't charge for estimates, and give 10% discount for Angie's List Members, and Senior citizens. I am very honest and will give a fair price. I will be on the job from start to finish, as I always complete started job before moving onto the next.

Recent Review: I've been a contractor for about 35 years and I've never experienced such skill in a flooring professional. This was for carpeting, and it was a really great job. My only regret is that I didn't know about his work sooner. He arrives on time and does what he says he's going to do.

Recent Review: They did an awesome job. They are responsive and ultra professional and made something that was of extremely high quality. All they do is floors... they know floors, finishes, wood, etc. Jared is extremely pleasant and conscientious. (Price listed was just for the kitchen. The floors upstairs were done at the start of 2014).

Recent Review: Jeff Peckens was easy to work with and spent a great deal of time helping us choose the perfect flooring. We hadn't found the hardwood flooring we wanted after several stops, but finally did at Bay View Flooring and were impressed with the variety of choices available. Their pricing was reasonable and installation professional and well done.

Reviews in Williamsburg to Install Laminate Flooring

FBeman Builders LLC
Not well, floors installed wrong and need to be replaced, counter. Corners are chipped. Did not finish trim on cupboards

Laminate flooring damaged by joe’s helper requiring new product being purchased and installed at my cost, does not match the new floor. Joe could not install the transitions on laminate so I hired a flooring company to apply these. Joe refused to install the trim around cabinets. Joe installed the subway backsplash, refused to apply a sealant over the grout. Grout is cracking. Joe made the laminate counter tops, corners are chipped. Joe measured for counter tops and backsplash and okayed the plans for the kitchen cabinet measurements. The laminate and subway tile purchased were way more than what was needed and costly to me.

ALEUGERS CUSTOM INSTALLATIONS LLC
He was great at teaching me about what was possible and what materials would make things more less or expensive or less energy-efficient or less durable.) I don't understand anything about construction, but he helped me figure out what would work best. For example, we spent a lot of time discussing the look I'd get having bead-board paneling half-way up the wall versus going higher. He explained the costs I'd run into with the different sizes, and how to finish it off by putting something on top between the paneling below and drywall above. He also needed to teach me about sub flooring, so I could decide on that and the flooring material. He was able to explain different types and the costs and benefits, in general, of each. Time involved: Work started promptly when he told me he'd be there. He seemed to be able to fit his schedule to when it worked for us. I think there were a couple delays with getting materials for the attic fan, but the project didn't take longer than he said it would. He seemed to be willing to change plans to work on different parts of the project depending on weather and what materials were already on-site. Cleanliness: He hung plastic sheeting to keep the mess in one general area. He tidied and swept up the area at the end of each day.

Pat and Jubilee Flooring did a great job installing my bamboo flooring purchased elsewhere. My floor went in quickly and looks better than I could have imagined. Pat really cares about his work and it shows. Highly recommended!

FBodamer Brothers Flooring
We ordered a floor from Bodamer Brothers. At the time we ordered the floor Mr. Bodamer said we would get a 5% discount for paying cash and that the full payment must be made in advance.  After waiting six weeks for delivery and having our old floor removed, the flooring was nothing like the sample we picked from. When we told Mr. Bodamer that we did not want that floor he initially tried to bully us into having the floor installed saying" that is a beautiful floor and I have the same floor in my house". When we rejected the floor he informed us that there was a 25% restocking fee if we didn't pick a floor from the same distributor. We were given three other choices for that distributor, none were acceptable. We went looking for another floor and found one that we liked at a competitor. We then contacted Bodamer's and asked for a refund accepting the 25% restocking fee and the cost of removal of our old floor. Mr. Bodamer refused to refund our money and called the dealer where we found the other floor "the biggest crook in town" plus made other very disparaging remarks about that dealer. He told us that we had a contract with us (which we never received a copy of.) He then told us that he would get us any floor that we picked out from anyone else but "that crook". We went to other flooring dealers in town and found another floor that we liked. The floor was also priced lower than the original floor. Bodamers obtained a sample carton of the flooring so that we could see it in the house. When I picked up the sample carton, I asked if the distributor had enough of the floor in stock to do our house and was told that they did have enough. We called Bodamers the same day and told them that the floor was exactly what we wanted and to order the floor. We waited five weeks for delivery of the flooring with numerous promises of delivery coming and going. When the floor arrived, it was a significantly darker color than the sample carton. We decided to have it installed anyway since we had been living with subfloor for such a long time. I called Bodamers prior to the start of the installation to check on the heat registers (we had asked for flush registers when the original measuring was done and Mr. Bodamer had agreed that flush registers were the way to go and would be installed.) The installer was very gracious and did a good job of installation. When asked about the flush registers he told us that Mr. Bodamer had told him that we wanted drop in registers and that they were "on order". He also told us that he could not install flush registers once the floor was down and that we could only have drop in registers at that point. After the installation was complete, I sent a certified letter to Mr. Bodamer asking that he refund us the difference between the quote price and the actual price of the flooring based on the price of the floor from his competitor and the actual material provided (the quote was for 868 sq. ft. and 803 sq. ft. were installed plus three thresholds that were quoted were not provided or installed.) He refused to accept delivery of the letter and it was returned to us unopened. Bodamers has not provided us with a final statement to date. We believe that he owes us over $1800.00. We will NEVER do business with Bodamer Brothers again and advise others to be very wary of their shady business practices and to never pay the full price in advance for anything from this business.

It was very encouraging to deal with someone who was both professional, knowledgeable, punctual and timely.  The work by GT Flooring was exemplary.  I was kept apprised every step of the way as to the progress and alerted to any surprises that came up and given the opportunity regarding how to deal with it,  As the work progressed I was sent pictures and even videos to see how the floor was looking.  This was because we were out of the state for the entire refinishing!  I felt completely secure having GT Flooring enter our home and completing the job while we were away, start to finish.  The best part was, we were not disappointed AT ALL!
