Recent Review: Great! Good quality storm door, excellent service and very professional!
Recent Review: We were told doors would be ready in 4-5 weeks. Were not ready for installation until eight weeks. Used bright white caulk around exterior door trim against red brick, which does not look good. Left some caulk drips on threshold and on door, which had to be cleaned off. Planning to re-caulk with a darker color.
Recent Review: A rep from The Doors Inc came out to take measurements a day or two after we first spoke. The following afternoon, Mark and an assistant brought the door over and installed it. I believe the work took less than two hours, and we've been satisfied with the results.

Recent Review: I got estimates in March for replacement doors for my 3-car garage at my home in Plymouth.  I found Dave at Tarnow Door to be very professional and helpful in explaining the differences in the different door options.  I also visited their showroom to look at painted steel doors in colors that looked like wood but were actually painted steel.  I opted for a cream/beige color which was a very close match to the trim paint of my house. The process from estimate, to contract signing, to installation was a smooth one.  It took about 45 days or so for the doors to come in but that was by no means an issue.  The installers did a nice job dismantling the old doors and removing them.  They also did a nice job installing the new doors.  The seal around the doors is nice and snug, whereas with my old doors the snow would actually sometimes blow in on windy days. The doors are of high quality, and they are insulated.  My garage seemed cooler this summer which was great. All in all, I'm happy with the door quality, the professionalism, and the removal/installation.  I'm getting quotes from Tarnow to now replace both garage door openers.

Reviews in Waterford to Install Peephole

CEmpire Doors Windows & More Inc
They failed to replace the interior door molding. I ordered a door with a peep hole and they installed a door without a peep hole. The installation was done while I was at work so my wife did not know the installation included a peep hole.

John installed 2 exterior door knockers with peep holes. He was very punctual and and did a great job.  I will have him back in the future.

Ron came over, measured each doorway and then gave us a price to hang them. We were buying the doors ourselves, so he listed everything that we needed to buy. He took on another job in the meantime, but as soon as he finished the other job, he came over and installed the doors and trim. He even came back at a later date and installed a peep hole for me.

The owner responded to my call for an estimate the next day.  He was knowledgeable and frank on the products he sold and what my needs were. From the time I made my decision to go with them, 2 days later the job was done.  In the door business their are only a handful of manufacturers in the Michigan area and most companies sell the same products.  His estimate was great,  The company was very professional and conducted the work in a efficent manner.  They disposed of my old doors and cleaned up after the install. I will be recommending them to family and friends in the future.

AJ & E Installation
We were impressed from the beginning.  My husband called the listed number, and talked to Jeff, one of the owners.  He suggested we visit their showroom, which we did the following Saturday.  We looked over the many choices of doors, storm doors, hardware, glass, etc., and Jeff gave us a price and made an appointment for the following Monday to come and take measurements.  We were able to take color swatches home in the meantime.  When we expressed concern over the color match between the doors and storm doors, he assured us that they would make sure they matched, and they do.  He left us with a folder containing a copy of our order, which indicated an expected delivery time (3.5 to 4 weeks).  The doors were ready within that time frame, and they made an appointment during the following week (the week before Christmas) to install them.  Don, the installer, got started on the front doors, and it started to rain, and rained all day.  He continued to work, despite getting soaked, but arranged to return one week later to install the side doors. By that time it had snowed, but that didn't hinder him at all.   These new doors make a tremendous difference in the appearance of our house, as well as in our daily lives, as the old doors didn't close well, and couldn't really be adjusted because of the deterioration of the frames.  Also, we had not had a working doorbell since we moved here a year and a half ago, and Don removed the button from the front and advised my husband about the installation of new buttons on both doors (for a wireless doorbell we had purchased at the Home Depot).   Both doors are located in small, awkward places to work on the inside, but that made no difference in either the price or the quality of the work.  We had been a little nervous starting out because previous reviews had mentioned that they were a little high in price, but we were pleasantly surprised.  We feel that the price was quite fair for the quality of the product and installation.  This project was our primary reason for signing up with Angie's List, and we couldn't be more pleased!

Travis arrived about 11 on a Sunday. Very impressed that he called me and said he could do the job on a Sunday (two days after I originally called to schedule the service). He completed the job at 7:30pm. First I want to praise what he did well. He asked if he had questions (until he didn't). He installed 10 door handles (replaced existing) and was meticulous. Did a good job installing knobs on bathroom /kitchen and Utility room cabinets (there were lots). He modified t-molds I had purchased as transition strips (my fault) so they would work (he removed the under mount and used finishing nails to put them in place). Through no fault of his own, this will not work in the long run as they have already started coming up but I appreciate him doing his best to make them work. What I didn't like. Wearing booties over boots and bringing a small vacuum to clean up really goes a long way to make a business look professional. I would suggest HandyPro subscribe to this practice. After Travis had installed the handles on drawers in the main bath, I asked that he mount them in the center (both across and up/down) of the cabinet when he moved on to the master bath. He mounted them all at the top of the drawers. When I noticed this I reminded him there were more drawers in the kitchen and he needed to mount them in the center of the drawers. Note: Kitchen drawers (large) required two handles be center across and in the center (up/down) of the drawer. He mounted all kitchen drawer handles again at the top of all three drawers. When I asked why he did this he said there was wood (thick) on the inside of the drawer so he couldn't mount them any lower. This was true for the top, more shallow drawer, but not the middle and bottom drawers. He knew this wasn't what I had asked but didn't even bother to tell me why he was going to do it the way he did. Then he moved to the other side of the kitchen where two small drawers remained. He put two handles on one small drawer. We didn't know he did this until he asked where we got them and offered to go get two more. I could live with the way he did the rest of the drawers (although I would recommend he use a template to be exact in the future), but two handles on a small drawer looks ridiculous. He said he was tired ... which I appreciate since he had already been there about 7 hours. We said we would get the hardware and install the two remaining handles ourselves but that we had no choice but to have him drill holes. So he did and moved on to finish the transition strips and we notice three holes in the last drawer. We said, what happened?? He said he was tired and he messed up. He's human and I get it but it was like he thought we wouldn't notice extra handles or holes in the drawers. That's what makes me angry. I have decided I can live with everything except two handles on two small drawers. I left a message for Joe this morning in hope that he will make this right for me. Either by sending someone out to fill the holes/sand/and stain the drawers and place the hardware (one handle) in the center of each drawer, or replace the face of each drawer and install one handle in the center. I am confident, based on the good review of this site, he will make it right. I should also note, Travis removed the charge for the drywall repair and took an additional $25 off because of his error. I did appreciate that gesture. I would recommend the company again, but will be sure to ask for staff who have actually done the work I requested.

DHome, Door & Window Products
Hired them to install a new back door and storm door. We intended to have them replace our side and front doors the next summer. They do sell good products, as the doors we selected are great quality, but they installed the door with a metal plate that goes from the outside to the inside and now we get frost forming in our house every winter across the bottom of the door inside our dining room. When we asked them to fix it they said it wasn't their problem and I'd have to figure it out myself. The old doors didn't have this issue.

AGeorge Meyer Co
We could not be more pleased with our new doors and grateful for the expertise of the installation team. The doors are beautiful! The previous doors and frames were in terrible shape ahead of today. We truly appreciate the work the team did to capably install the new doors while taking great care to insulate well and replace additional parts that had deteriorated. Our home is all the better for this high quality of work. We'll absolutely use the services of George Meyer for any future home renovation needs. Thank you!

APure Energy Window Company
Pure Energy replaced all my widows, sliding glass doors, and front door. In addition they upgraded the insulation in my attic. Though I was not initially in the market, Adrian Beaver gave such an honest and informative presentation I was convinced of the value. My experience with installation (four events) was very positive—each installation team was top notch, friendly and efficient. A door bell problem that appeared after installation of the front door was quickly resolved by a most agreeable and helpful maintenance person. I really appreciate that all the work was done by Pure Energy employees, not contractors, and that they take such great care and pride in their work.
