AC.N.B HARDWOOD FLOORS
The new kitchen floor is beautiful!  Chris and Dustin were polite, professional and pleasant. They cleaned the area worked on before leaving each day.    The initial estimate was scheduled soon after our phone contact and the floor installation was scheduled and completed in a timely manner. We recommend CNB and will use them again.

AC.N.B HARDWOOD FLOORS
Great! Our hardwood floors had not been refinished in 17 years. Part of the floor was engineered wood and very thin and part was solid oak. The sanding needed to be very prudent on the engineered side of the floor. In addition, the sanding erased a stained pattern from the surface of the flooring and we wanted that pattern restained into the floor. We are very happy with the finished results. The process took 4 days.

ASandman Wood Floor Restoration
We had the first half of the floors done by a different contractor, and we were very unhappy, so we had The Sandman do the rest of the floors and buff and put 1 more coat on the floors that they other contractor did. The difference was night and day. Randy left almost no dust at all in the house. The sanding job was so nice the (very old, previously damaged) floors look perfect and like new. Randy took his time and did a very good job. We only wish we had used him for the whole house. We would without hesitation recommend him to others.

Our concrete slab house had existing hardwood flooring that was badly damaged by a major water heater leak and we needed to replace the entire 2k sq. ft house of hardwood flooring. It was a huge job that many we brought by/called to quote turned down on the spot. Cortez Flooring, however, not only came by to quote, on time, during a snow storm, but ultimately delivered responsive, prompt, quality work at a very competitive cost. George, his brother, Gabe and their team were a pleasure to work with. They were incredibly responsive - I never had to worry that I would have to wait days to hear back from them like most other people we've hired to do work on our home over the years. George helped recommend the best type of flooring (we ended up going with a wide plank, engineered White Sand Oak from Mohawk) for our installation situation and ordered several samples for us to take home to review. He placed the order of the flooring and glue and delivered it to the house with enough time for the wood to acclimate to the house before the installation. We also wanted flush, wooden vent covers and I don't know how he did it, but, he found a perfect match to the flooring we chose. Between the demo and disposal of the old floor, prep of the concrete and installation of the new floor and trim, they estimated the job would take two weeks. I was skeptical that it would take longer, but, nope, it was completed right on time! The team showed up every day and even worked over the weekend to make sure they finished in time because there was some unexpected, additional floor prep due to some extra concrete leveling needed. In the end, the project was finished on time AND on budget! Cortez Flooring is a one stop shot and they made my monster of a project as painless as possible.

DOld 2 Gold
We had Old2Gold do half of our house in May. We were very disappointed in the results. The sanding was very poor quality. We had him refinish our old floors, and had him look at the defects in the floor before he started. He assured us these scratches and waves (where someone else has tried to sand and failed) would be no problem at all and would be totally sanded out. The scratches were not sanded out and the waves in the floor are still there, even after my husband asked him about them when they were still there after the first day of sanding. The air returns are wooden grates in the floor. He did nothing with those, so they were a different color and not the same level as the floor. In the entryway to the house, there is a step. The front lip of that step was never sanded. We had the dark stain on the floor sanded out and went with a natural color to the floor (per Randy's suggestion). So, now right as you enter the house, you see the front of that step in dark stain when the rest of the floor is a natural color. Also, he left dust *everywhere.* No plastic was put up, and his employees did not even do something as simple as close the door to a room not being sanded, so dust literally coated everything in the house. Also, he hit some of the trim on the stairs with the sander. The wood is stained dark, so it is very noticeable, about 6 inches from the stairs in 2 different places. He did not do anything try to repair that at all.  And, to top everything off, we paid extra for a special, more durable finish. When he finished, we found that he had not used that finish, just his normal (much cheaper and less durable) finish, and only 2 coats, not the 3 that is standard (and had been talked about before the job). The 2nd coat of finish he put on was a glossy finish, when we had requested matte. And, the amount he had did not cover the whole area, so he left it about 2/3 done. So, parts of the floor were glossy and parts were matte. It looked awful. We had rest of the house done by a different contractor. The difference was night and day. Almost no dust at all left int he house. The sanding job was so nice the (very old, previously damaged) floors look perfect and like new. Even the color of the floors looked so much better because this contractor used the special finish we paid extra for. When we addressed the problems with Ronnie, he only talked about the cheap price we has been given and said he only promised us 2 coats of finish. He gave us two offers: he would buff and re-coat the floors, or we could deduct from his pay the cost to have the other person buff and re-coat the floors. We chose the 2nd option. The finish looks better, but of course, the 2nd contractor could not do anything about the poor sanding job without refinishing the whole floor, so we have to live with the poor sanding job. We would not recommend Old2Gold to anyone.

FMIGALA CARPET ONE FLOOR & HOME
they came out to measure and then emailed me estimate. I responded to the email with a couple of questions regarding the install and got no response. After a couple weeks emailed them again, still no response.

They did a fabulous job! They are very meticulous, trustworthy, and professional. We accidentally walked across the floor before it was done drying and left marks in the finish. They came back and repaired it with no issue and at no cost. They are very proud of their work.

The project had its positives and negatives. When he completed the floors in the main living area, they looked great; really exceeding my expectations. However, he has issues that most contractors do. IE: keeping appointment times and portions of the job being left unaddressed. I felt he was very reluctant to do any hand sanding; therefore he wouldn?t do it. This made me feel like the job was left incomplete. He failed to even pull out the appliances or toilet to sand those areas. He did provide me the materials for follow up care for my floors, which I appreciated. But I felt like he was just willing to complete the basic mechanical portion of the project, but failed with the details. I received several quotes and decided to give Justin a shot this time, but would likely choose another company going forward.

Business Description: P.A.W. Hardwood Flooring & Supplies was formed in May of 2009 to give flooring contractors the customer service that they've been requesting for so long. When we started this business we didn't realize how much, many hardwood flooring contractors were desperately in need of knowledgeable customer support, more consistent and affordable pricing, and how much contractors across the U.S. would welcome P.A.W. as their supplier for all of their hardwood flooring needs. Contractors across the country quickly began turning to P.A.W. for our expert advice, honesty, no-hassle sales staff, and fast on-time job-site delivery. In 2011, at the request of our customers, P.A.W. expanded its already wide range of products by adding a manufacturing and repair service department. To head up this department, we welcomed aboard Rich Sweet (former repair tech Floor Style, MI) and started down the road of replacement parts, custom equipment upgrades, and manufacturing equipment in house, including full Gym Floor Rider setups. In addition to our knowledge that comes from over 35 years combined experience, we also have very close ties with all of our product manufacturers to ensure that the answers to your questions are only a phone call away. We also understand that you cannot put a price on honesty. That is why if we don't have the answers that you are looking for and we are unable to find them, we will refer you to someone who can. At P.A.W. Hardwood, we don't measure our success in dollars. We measure it in happy customers!

Recent Review: Bill and his team are absolutely phenomenal! Last month they refinished our entire first floor including our foyer, living room, dining room, and kitchen. We have 90 year-old wood floors in our home that had been covered by carpet and tile. The Aardema team restored them to their original glory in a matter of days! They did a gorgeous job! Each day the team was on time, knowledgeable, and pleasant. I definitely like to ask questions and enjoy being informed of progress and each day the gentlemen were more than happy to update me with this information and what I could expect. Pricing was fair and competitive. Hiring out projects like this usually stresses me out. Not at all the case with Aardema! This family owned business is trustworthy and truly cares about their clients. I am beyond ecstatic with the results. I can't begin to describe the feeling of sitting in my living room and looking at the beauty of my floors. It honestly feels like I have a new home. A million thanks to Bill and his team!

Recent Review: I was very satisfied with the end product on an earlier carpet job (I gave Migala an “A” overall), so I went back to the well and hired them for this wood flooring project over other bidders. I’m glad. If I could give Migala an “A+” on wood flooring, I would! Thanks to Migala—everyone loves my floors! I’ve heard horror stories of wood flooring installation gone wrong, but not in my home. The “pattern” (or absence thereof) and different stain shades of my 4, 5 and 6” flooring appear to be as random as possible. Migala’s work showed excellent craftsmanship at the tile entryway, staircase, and throughout the hall that required angled cuts on every piece. The installer was very friendly and took time to explain a good deal of his requisite standards. Migala proved it can provide high quality workmanship and customer service throughout installation. I add that my salesperson provided me with an abundance of time and knowledge helping me narrow my choice to Castle Plank Hickory solid wood flooring from Chelsea Plank Flooring. Other than a minor difficulty and delay in obtaining the appropriately stained quarter round from Chelsea; from Sales to Delivery/Acclimation to Installation things just went smoothly! I would hire Migala Carpet One for hardwood flooring again in a heartbeat!
