Recent Review: We had Sun to our home to provide us with estimates and found them to be reasonably cost competitive. They were by far the most personable company we'd contacted and their salesperson helped us figure out exactly what we wanted to accomplish with our repairs. They did an excellent job of keeping us informed of the status of our work order. Because there were multiple concurrent orders, when some of the materials arrived early they contacted us and scheduled that work ahead of the rest so that we could get things completed sooner. They required multiple visits to complete the work, on every visit they did a good job of cleaning up the work site following their job (both inside and outside). They followed up days later with either calls or visits to review the quality of the work and to ensure we were happy with their services. Every visit was conducted professionally. Not only were Sun professional but their crews were also nice guys. On one of the last days on site, they crew that was working asked my wife if she would mind if they took a short break. They used that break to help out my elderly neighbor who was raking leaves. The crew grabbed a couple of rakes and helped her get her yard work taken care of in no time. We had a really good experience with this company and would happily use them in the future.
Recent Review: This was our second purchase from Renewal. We have 4 more windows to go. So that should say how the experience went. We loved it. Our bay window conversion from a bow window is the talk of our neighborhood.
Recent Review: I would recommend Hammer Time for window replacement. We received a no hassle quote and then we were given time to think about the offer. Other companies kept lowering the price every time we said no or that we wanted to think about the offer. One company lowered their original quote from over ten thousand dollars before we said we were not going to sign and Hammer Time still beat the price. Hammer Time gave us a very good time frame as to when the windows would be made and installed and they still beat that time frame by a few weeks. The installers were neat and cleaned up all of the mess plus asked us if we saw anything they needed to do or clean up before they left. The windows and Hammer Time exceeded our expectations!

Recent Review: A few years later some of our windows were having trouble opening and they came back out and replaced all the openers for free. The grill on the bay window had to be custom cut. They had to come out multiple times to cut it to the right size.
Recent Review: After meeting with Bryan, we went with Pure Energy. We turned our 5 window mess facing west into two small windows on the side and a large slider in the middle. This is a bay window. No more wet wood casings growing mold! I will enjoy not getting the blow dryer out this fall to put insulation on all our windows. The windows we purchased have a U-Factor of 0.23 and SHGC of 0.22. They even have a nice tint to reduce glare.
Recent Review: Fantastic. They were very reliable, very professional. We hired them to install a bay window, siding and gutters. The quality of the window was so impressive that we had to call them back and do all are windows. When they were finished they left the yard and inside the home was left very clean.

Recent Review: We were mostly satisfied and would probably usethem again. BTW, after a lot of research we found the Marvin Integrity windows to be a good compromise between high end windows and mass market, common vinyl windows. We plan to install more Marvin Integrity windows in our home. BTW2, it appears Marvin (apparently to “increase quality”) is locking down the market by limiting the number of local suppliers via exclusivity agreements. We would NEVER use vinyl windows – at least not from the two big advertiser-installers in the Detroit Metro market. Cheap Vinyl does not last and the FAT frames suck up far too much glass area in our often overcast Michigan location. If you like the “porthole window” effect, go for it! In fact, an independent installer told us about his experience with a homeowner who had the biggest Detroit Metro area vinyl window company replace all the windows in his home. Within days he told them to pull them all out. To their credit they reluctantly agreed. This independent installer had to be onsite the same day the vinyl company removed theirs so he could install the higher quality replacement windows. Back to Home & Door… Pre-sales: Small outfit, but professional and absolutely no high pressure. We pretty much knew exactly what we wanted and they provided friendly assistance. In order to officially quote they had to send out a sales person to measure. A bothersome point: since they use independent installers, the installer also has to come out again to measure prior to actual ordering of the windows. Not fun. In any case, our happiness with the Home & Door experience was tempered by the $300 installation price for a $400 window. BTW, Home & Door claimed that their per window installation price does not change depending on how many windows you install. Installer visit for quote: Went fairly smoothly, but he contradicted the advice we got at Home & Door – that they could easily trim some of the bath tile to enable a slightly larger window. He strongly resisted to the point where we knew we’d be taking a risk by insisting on the extra cutting. He was a bit eccentric and seemed to get offended by innocent questions about how the window would be installed. I guess he was conditioned to silent homeowners who don’t ask questions. Installation: Fast and neatly done. Installer’s eccentricity was mostly entertaining at this point. The entire job was done in at most two hours. I realize there’s travel & overhead costs for the installer but even though it will take me at least twice as long – next time I’ll be buying the window at the best priced source and installing it myself to save $300. On balance we were pretty happy with Home & Door with the exception of installation cost.
I built a bay window including installing the windows and building the support structure. However, after doing this I found it was very difficult to create the finish trimming due to the requirement for so many careful and correct mitered cuts. Gary at GC Contracting was able to finish the bay window with elegant and perfectly fitting beveled cuts in the wood and trim. The window is now a focal point of the house, definitely adding aesthetic value and surely adding significant monetary value, as well. Gary was very professional, courteous, and prompt in providing his excellent carpentry work to finish our bay window. We highly recommend him!

AHansons Window & Siding of Detroit
13 Windows and a big custom bay window. What a great job!! Not the highest quote, not the lowest quote, but the most fair quote I received. I had received another estimate that was the highest BY FAR! Their bay window quote was double the price of everyone else and at the time I had them quote only eight windows to replace. The price they gave me for eight windows was higher than the 13 windows from Hansons. And the quote they gave me was from their buy one window get the second window free. They only quoted me based on the job, they would not give me a quote per window. Took two days. One day for the 13 replacement windows and one day for the bay window. Looks fantastic and the workers were great. Cleaned up everything and left me with some some beautiful windows. Will update this review during the winter to report on how well they insulate from the cold.

While it took almost a year from the moment we signed the paperwork and the moment the job started, the work was flawless! 100% satisfied! Crew doing the work was respectful and went above and beyond the initial project to make the job seem seamless with the rest of the house.

AJ & E Installation
Exceptional customer service & attention to detail. J & E Installation assisted in our kitchen remodel with a bay window over the sink. The owner came to our home, did the measuring and discussed all our options. He gave us a competitive quote and could work within our remodeling schedule. We are very picky customers with high expectations so when the window reached the showroom I was invited to come inspect it prior to installation. On install day the crew arrived on time. This job was small and should have taken about 2 hours but a storm caused delays. The crew was professional and patient with my endless critiques. They went above and beyond their normal scope of work to ensure my 100% satisfaction. We will not hesitate to use J&E for the replacement of the remaining windows in our home. The bay window is a premium upgrade in our kitchen & we are so delighted that we chose J & E Installation for our project.

APerformance Residential Remodeling
Performance fiberglass windows and doors was my 4th estimate, and the only salesman that took his shoes off at the door... thanks MATT! Their price was the most reasonable. They called me when my window was in, and scheduled the job in the time frame that I was told at the very beginning! They said they would start the job between 8 and 9am, they were at my house at 8:30... good job guys! The crew was professional, finished the removal and replacement of my bay window, and cleaned up, in only 3 1/2hrs.

A4 seasons roofing
I had contacted several roofers beginning in summer, 2013 and only found two who would even consider repairing a leak in our bay window metal roof. I contacted 4 Seasons Construction Services owner Robert Sarson in September and was advised that they were booked until the early fall. Bob Sarson was finally able to evaluate our roof on October 23. After the review, Bob sent me an estimate on October 25 for $1,220 and we scheduled the repair for November. Tony and Lorenzo arrived on November 20 and were able to successfully complete the repair the same day. Tony and Lorenzo were friendly and professional and answered my questions along the way. Bob offered a warranty of one year at no additional cost which is a relief after my difficulty in finding a roofer willing to perform the repair. To date, the repair appears to have successfully eliminated the leak despite the severe winter weather encountered so far. We had purchased this home (built in 2005) in March, 2012 and experienced the leak beginning in Summer, 2013. Needless to say, Bob Sarson and his 4 Seasons Construction Services sure "saved the day" for us! I recommend 4 Seasons to anyone looking for a capable roofer, especially if you have metal roof concerns!

Sales associate was pleasant. Problem was they don't have much variety and when given the quote he just wrote it on the pamphlet he left me. No sales contract although I didn't sign one. I just expected a breakdown. Also, got a better quote from another big box store. I have used Home Depot many times and will continue to, just not on this project though.

BHansons Window & Siding of Detroit
They did satisfactory work. They did haul away the old materials and they cleaned up after themselves. I did have to call them back since there was an issue with a little tear in the siding. They did come out and repair that for me eventually when I got a hold of them.

Quote 6 weeks in advance, 1/3 downpayment to go forward.....install date and time set up two weeks in advance. Installers (3) arrived at 8:30 and set up outside the window on the patio. By noon the new bay window was in and being framed in. Guys left by 3 pm leaving a beautiful new window, immaculately clean inside and outside. Amazing. Not too much noise and didn't scare the 2 year old twin grand babies who were happy to stay upstairs and watch a second Sesame Street. Thank you so very very much! Just a perfect day and we love the look and functioning of the windows. In Ann Arbor.
