They arrived promptly and cleaned up all materials. Marc was very helpful in returning any phone calls. The work was performed well. We were very pleased with his professionalism and will use his services again for other projects.

AAll Season Window Inc
My experience with All Season Window was seamless from beginning to end. Art and Sherry are both very knowledgeable and congenial. Sherry answered all of my questions thoroughly, walked me through details of the product and the contract process, and kept in touch regularly before and after the install was scheduled. It was reassuring to have the principal installer (Art) also doing the in-home measurement, which is not the case with larger companies or big-box stores; he was confident that he could install standard-sized doors and address underlying water damage issues, and he did both without a hitch. (A number of other companies had insisted I would need custom doors, at much higher cost; not only do the standard Polar Seal sliding patio doors seem to match the custom doors in quality/efficiency, they come with additional features, such as the foot lock, that come at extra cost for other brands.) Art and Steve were very efficient in installing the doors ahead of schedule, completing the weather proofing and trim, and cleaning up the debris. Sherry had all of the paperwork ready on the last day of install, including warranties and everything necessary for me to mail in rebates--another helpful touch. I am very happy with the quality of the installation and the product and am glad to support this local family-owned business, as well as a regional product (Polar Seal doors made in Grand Rapids). I highly recommend All Season Windows.

DSIR Home Improvements
This job started out horrible.  The roofer showed up late with a crew of 7 or 8.  I called Sir Home Improvement when they did not show up as scheduled.   I believe I received one phone call from Dawn inquiring if the roofer showed up, no other follow-up calls from Sir Home Improvement verifying that the sub-contractors were even here as scheduled.  My husband (a previous builder) had started a 12" overhang on the back of the house, but decided that since we needed a new roof we would have the rest of the overhang, soffets and fascia completed at that time. When the roofing company finally showed up, I walked around the house with the roofing manager, I had to explain  to  him what was to be done, including completion of a 12" overhang, soffets and fascia all around the house.  Then the nightmare began.   During the total construction job, there was no construction manager or inspector from Sir Home Improvement present on the job site nor did either show up to inspect the works of the sub-contractor during the projects.  Throughout the project, the roofing manager asked  me several questions.  Several times I had mentioned to him about the completion of the 12" overhang, soffets and fascia.  They DID NOT complete the overhang. When my husband came home from work, the roofing crew was cleaning up.  My husband talked with the roofing manager and wanted to know why they had not completed the 12" overhang, soffets and fascia.  The roofing manager said it was not in the contract.  I immediately got my contract which clearly stated the completion of the overhang.  He got his copy and it was there, clear as day.  I immediately called Sir Home Improvement.  Their roofing manager and another guy showed up and agreed that the overhang should have been done and they would take care of it at no additonal expense to me.  Well, they did.  They hired a very professional contractor who completed the job correctly (not "just make it look good" as suggested by Sir Home Improvement). The roofer did not vent the roof.  Sir Home Improvement did come back and vent the roof.   There are many other things, but most have been taken care of. The roofer did not properly install the ice and watershield, needless to say, I now have leaks coming into the kitchen cupboards from the valley and the ceiling plaster is cracked.  There are also leaks into the livingroom from the valley and the wall plaster is cracking.   I have called Sir Home Improvement 3 times (their roofing manager did come out and look at it and said he would put me on the schedule for April).  I still have not heard from them except for a telemarketing call asking if we need any other work done to our home.  What a joke!!!!! We have no complaints on the window installation or energy seal. I'm not sure what to do now, except it might warrant a call to my lawyer. Please note that I would not hire this company to build a bird house!!!!!!

AOverhead Door Co of Battle Creek
They showed up when scheduled and performed the work as described.  They ran into a problem with rafters too low, but worked with me to solve the problems and stayed with the quoted price, even though it required three separate work days rather than just the planned one.

The experience went fine. I didn't get involved much, but the door seems to be fine. They were on time. They weren't the cheapest. The quality was pretty good. They did show up on time. We tried to use them again.

AAll Weather Seal of West MI
The work was done on time and in a very professional manner.   The carpet was vacuumed when finished and the entire frame was put in in such a way that the door was perfectly adjusted to the opening from which the old door was removed.  Also the new door was foam insulated into the opening.  This is a great improvement in that it stops all cold air from coming in around the door frame. The installers were very friendly and answered any and all of my questions in a way that one could understand what they were telling me.   I was impressed in that they even cleaned up outside the area and made sure that all of the old material was hauled away.

AChampion Windows and Home Exteriors of Grand Rapids
We are extremely pleased with out Champion Four-Season "Built Under" room.  We first saw Champion rooms at the Kalamazoo Home and Garden Show.  We also saw two other builders of four-season rooms.  We had Champion and one other company come to the house and give us estimates.  Champion's sales person was far better prepared and the materials he showed us were far superior.  Champion's estimate was higher, but by less than $2,000.  We visited the main store in Grand Rapids to further check the look and materials.  The actual building of the four-season room took a little over one week.  We were very impressed with the care and percission of the workmen.  One workman even repaired an area of our house that butted up to the four-season room.  It was still cool weather in Michigan when the room was finished and (the four-season room has no heat) we were instantly amazed at how the room retained the heat with being heated.  After the first summer and a full winter we found that if the sliding door to the house is open to air conditioning and/or heating of the house the temperature of the four-season room stays very comfortable in the 60's.  The insulation of the windows and the whole structure is fantastic.  We use the room all year and have a small heater for the colder days of our Michigan winters.
