Recent Review: It was an emergency. The company I used to use was to busy so they recommended All-Flo Plumbing. He did the job well and I have not had any issue with the drain since. He was a little pricey but probably because of the hour.

Recent Review: Scheid did an amazing Job. From the quote process with Dan & Issac to Connie and Hannah in the office to Rich who did the re plumbing and shower install for our house. we had all of the galvanized pipes replaced with PEX and had a 30x60 shower installed, could not have been happier with the service. When issues arose I was notified immediately so that a solution could be found as quickly as possible and work could be done quickly.

Recent Review: The plumber's at Godwin plumbing were fantastic. Completely plumbed shower with new values and sweat connections. My house had been a forclosure and vacant for some time. They took time (free of charge) and walked me around my house explaining everything to me. They took 2 hours (not charged!!) to explain to me how to keep maintenance of my pipes what cleaners to use, future plumbing needs (even showed me what to do). I will be using them for any plumbing needs I have in the future. They are very busy company so if you can call in advance it works better.

Very bad experience. We thought we were hiring another reputable company who had been referred to us by two others. Answered phone with first name, we tried to verify we were speaking with our plumber of choice, and he said, yes, this is Steve. He gave us a verbal estimate only of $600-$800, we veified that was for both concerns, and we accepted without written estimate or business card because we had such great personal references. When he came to do the work, arrived promptly at 9 AM, was there 1.5 hours and charged $600 more than agreed quote. By his own statements, toilet and lid, with flange were $519 his cost, but we never saw documentation of that. That means he collected $800 in labor for 1.5 hours of work, which included a service charge of $137.00. He installed power flush mechanism in the new toilet at our request, and it worked for only 4 days, before stopping. Toilet is out of order for 7 days until we can get a professional in to fix/replace it this week. There is also a new hole in the tile on the floor. He lied by omission to us, denigrated other providers by lying about their financial status, overcharged us, gave us consistent double speak, and said he didn't care if we go to small claims court, the plumber states attorney, better business bureau. He also is not a union member. His misrepresentative ad on google, which referred to 2 different companies, and was actually an AD placed to come up in front of the phone number we were seeking on google was repaired the next morning after our second conversation, but he has operated out of 3 addresses in less than 15 years (per his licensure). He did not refer to or offer proof of licensure, insurance, bonding, or other assertions he made. We acknowledge that we should have gotten a written estimate and that we didn't do enough research on this person of low integrity, but believe prospective customers would like to know that his final statement to us was, "This is the way business is done. Have a nice day". We couldn't recommend him for ANY plumbing needs, even though his documentation says he doesn't care about reviews. Hope you do.

Excellent service. They were on time. Called right before they came to confirm that time was ok. I originally called for just the garbage disposal hookup. He ended up doing the extra work, when I asked if he had time while he was here. John did an excellent job, was professional, courteous, and cleaned up after all his work was completed. I certainly will call Godwin again and hopefully will get John Grasman as a plumber again!

Overall, I was please with Macatawa. They, for the most part, do a quality job. There were a couple of things that made me mark them down a notch. On their first visit to do some tear out of old plumbing, they sent 2 workers, and apparently only 1 reciprocating saw. So the 2nd guy grabs my brand new saw and goes to town with it. Didn't ask, didn't hint that he needed it, just starts cutting. I figured this out later when my saw was left in the basement, covered in water spots, nowhere near it's case, and the blade was shot. I explained the layout, and where I wanted the tiled shower drain, and control valves. This was apparently too much work for them to move, so the position ended up back in the exact same place as the old drain I cut out. Overall, things came out alright. The plumbing seems to work.( Just finished today, so testing continues.)

It went well. We were on a time schedule with our tile guy and they came out quickly for an estimate in person (some I contacted wanted to do the estimate over the phone) as I requested. The worked it into their schedule very quickly. The worker came upon a minor problem while doing the work, however he fixed it and didn't charge anything extra.....I was impressed with this. We are going to be working on our master bathroom shortly....I will definitely be calling them for an estimate and would definitely use them again (if the price is right).

DHerrema & Sons Plumbing
When the well tank pump ran it sounded as if a hammer was being struck very loudly in the basement because the pipes were left freestanding temporarily until the work was ready to be finished. This resulted in a plastic fitting being over torqued and cracking which left roughly 2-3 inches of water in portions of our basement which was being used as storage. We had to empty out the basement, and an employee brought a wet vac and addressed the broken fitting. The employee was rude and kept saying the work "was done right" which clearly isn't correct or we would not have had a swimming pool in our basement. The damage incurred was roughly $500, which we had to ask for reimbursement. They never offered blowers or dehumidifiers to dry out the area, luckily we have great neighbors which helped on that front. After having the argument with the plumber our contractor took the lead in making remedies and handled the situation very well and satisfactorily got us credits for the damage and inconvenience. When installing the toilet, they didn't install the correct lid (soft close) which was an added extra and also failed to install the proper shower head which we had an upcharge for. The upgraded shower head wasn't installed with the proper pipe (this particular shower head has a rain function which requires a 90-degree elbow for that function to work). I'm not sure if the incorrect installation would fall on the shoulders of the plumbers or the suppliers, in either case added to the headache and sour taste involved with this install and plumbing group. Overall a terrible experience for my wife and I. I would not recommend them based on our experiences.
