Recent Review: I searched on-line for a new gas cooktop to replace my existing electrical cooktop, found the brand and model I wanted, and located a local Lowes store to purchase the cooktop (a Dacor cooktop. Love it). I went to Lowes to purchase the cooktop and asked them if they could install it. They said they install cooktops (they sub-contract to local installer) and it would cost me $25 to get an estimate. It irritated me to pay for an estimate. I negotiated with the guy and he agreed to take the $25 off the price of the cooktop. He gave me the phone number of the installer and said I would have to call him to make an appointment. Long story short... the installer came out and said he'd have to do a lot of cutting into my existing drywall ceiling (I have a finished basement with drywalled ceilings) to be able to run the new flexible gas line. I said I thought he shouldn't need to do that and should be able to snake the new gas line in easily enough without cutting into the drywall since it was a short distance. I had measured and looked at the job before he arrived. The installer just seemed to have a no-can-do attitude and wanted to charge me a lot of money. So I sent him on his way. I called Lowes and complained about their installers negative, no-can-do attitude. The lady on the phone made excuses for him when she didn't even know the scope of the job! Unbelievable. I told her I was cancelling buying the stove from Lowes and would buy it on-line due to their poor service. This didn't seem to bother her. Before I bought the stove I called Brubaker's and they sent someone out to scope the job and give me an estimate. His name is Justin Gilbert. Justin came out and looked at the job and within a few minutes of inspecting the basement and kitchen said and quot;no problemand quot;. He was very positive and had a great attitude. I was very pleased he was resonable about the difficulty of the job. The estimate was for $290 in parts and $300 in labor. We agreed to the price and made an appointment for the work. Two guys showed up, did a great job removing the old electric cooktop and installing the new gas lines, valves and the gas cooktop. A few days after the installation I smelled a tiny gas leak in the area where the gas valve to the stove was located. I called Brubakers and they send someone out immediately. The intaller snooped the line with liquid to check for leaks. He tightened the fittings. This is the reason I gave a B instead of an A for quality. I just called Brubakers yesterday (6/10/2013) to come out to do a clean and inspection of my home A/C unit. i.e. very pleased with their work.

Recent Review: He communicated well about when he would do the installation. He gave me a written estimate. Although the actual work took longer, he stayed with his estimate. The work was done well and was a difficult installation through ceiling and walls. The quality of the materials was also excellent. I would recommend this company and would use them again for plumbing and gas work.

Recent Review: Doug was punctual and got to work right away.  The first gas line he used had a leak in it, and he stayed to make sure the replacement line was good and there were no more leaks. The pipe he installed for the garbage disposal wound up being a little too long and we had some leakage, but he was quick to come back the next day and cut it down and fix the problem right away. Very satisfied!

Day 1: Doug and his helper arrived at 9:00.  They began on re-working the kitchen sink & dishwasher plumbing.  Also, they removed the radiant heater and bled the line.  They began running the gas line.  They left around 6pm. Day 2:  Doug arrived around 9:00.  They ran the line for the icemaker and completed the gas line.  They also installed the drywall. They removed the old tile in the entryway.  They left around 6pm. Day 3:  Doug arrived around 9:00.  They began to mud the walls and then installed the hardyboard throughout the kitchen, dining room and entryway. Day 4:  Doug arrived around 9:00.  They began to lay the tile.  They finished laying the time around 5:30.  They applied another coat of mud to the walls. Day 5:  Doug arrived around 9:30am.  They applied another coat of mud to the wall.  They grouted the kitchen.  They cleaned up and left around 4:30.
