Teachout Builders were great about communicating with us throughout the process. They were very busy at the end of the summer, so we were told it would be at least a month before they started work. Taylor kept us informed of the probable start date, and various weather delays. He guided us through the process, and was responsive to our questions and concerns. The work was completed, and the porch and door look great! We had gotten a verbal agreement about reusing our old porch railing, if possible, but it had not been written on our work order, and the railing was inadvertently discarded. Taylor has said that he will honor the verbal agreement, and cover the cost of the new railing, if we decide to go ahead with adding it. And he also has given us assurance that he will return in the spring to fix minor discoloration in the porch cement. We feel very comfortable working with this company. Taylor has proven himself and the company to be skilled, professional, courteous, and to honor their word. We would not hesitate to recommend Teachout Builders for any construction projects.

AJimmerson Roofing Co
My Roof is approximately 10 years old with architectural shingles and this spring I noticed a leak coming into my attic. I climbed onto the roof and did not see any obvious places where it could be leaking so I left a message with Jimmerson's roofing using Angies list explaining the problem and that their business was recommended by multiple friends. Mr Jimmerson came to the house and went into the attic to see where the roof had been leaking and then went onto the roof to see if he could find the problem. Unfortunately it was a sunny day and he could not find where the leak was coming in at but he did do some caulking while he was up there. So until we get another rain storm we will not know if the caulking fixed the problem. Mr Jimmerson told me to call and let him know if it was still leaking. Very professional, explained what he was doing and what the next step would be if it still leaked.

I contacted Palmer roofing after hearing positive feedback from a couple of friends. Andy came to our home within a couple of days, gave us a complete estimate and left samples of shingles. His work crew came to the site and completed the project very quickly and cleaned the site before leaving each evening, including picking up any nails in the landscaping with a special magnetic nail retrieval device. The roof looks beautiful and the price was very fair. We recently had Palmer Roofing repair a leaking valley in our large barn roof. He carefully examined the problem leak, gave us a reasonable estimate and completed the work swiftly and thoroughly. Voila! No more leaky barn roof. Andy and his staff are very respectable and wonderful to work with.

After a tornado damage my roof I hired Teachout Builders. During first inspection we found that the rafter tails were just box frames and damaged. He worked with the insurance to take care most of the expense and gave us a break on the remaining amount. Very satisfied with their work.

The job was done excellently and ahead of schedule. A crew of men were here for about three hours.. Then two men remained to complete the window job for another two hours.

So far, so good (we'll get final confirmation next January & February when lots of ice forms on the roof) but it seems likely to be fixed; one of the corrections was to install a new roof vent material to replace the previous less reliable stuff, then replace the roof shingles over where the vent is.

Very professional, responsive and punctual. Took pictures of everything and prepared a detailed report. We live in a 2.5 story house with 12/12 pitched roof so this was not an easy access project. There was an issue with a shingle coming loose from the ridge vent area where the work was completed. I did not notice this until several months later but they came out and replaced it free of charge within a week. We were pleasantly surprised. We would highly recommend them to anyone with chimney/roof issues.

They were very thorough and worked with us to make sure we got all the repairs we needed to fix the problem.
Recent Review: These guys were ABSOLUTELY fantastic! My husband and I own a flat roof home and we had roofing contractors come out to look at our roof and laugh. Irish's flat roof team is led by an experienced (I think he said 20 years) flat roof foreman, who really went above and beyond. We had a huge two day storm in the middle of our project and not only were these guys out DURING the storm to make sure it was holding, but also came out in the evening to reapply temporary metal that had fallen off in the storm. Absolutely awesome contractors. You would have thought it was their house with the amount of care and concern they exerted. We look forward to having Irish back out next summer to do other projects.
Recent Review: I purchased a home in May 2014. Two months later, after a heavy rainstorm with high winds, I had damage to ceilings on the first and second floor. Mr Dalton came out immediately and inspected my roof that wasn't very old. He discovered that the roof was installed incorrectly and shingles were loose. The high winds had moved them out of line, allowing the leak. He immediately pushed the shingles back and nailed them in place as a courtesy. He suggested that I replace the roof over the second floor and that I could wait to replace the remaining roof over the garage and a sunroom. His team showed up on time and the job was completed by the time I came home from work. The yard was immaculate and I would not have guessed that they were even there that day had I not known better. The new roof is slightly different in texture but the color matches perfectly. I was very pleased.
Recent Review: Kris was wonderful. It was possible to do a recover on my roof rather than a full tear off because the original roof wasn't that bad yet. A full tear off was twice the price. The workers came and did a very professional job. The roof looks great. I have no complaints.
Recent Review: The removal of the electric service mast from my roof left it with a two inch hole. The roof is only 6 years old, so I wanted it fixed correctly by a professional. Over the span of two weeks I emailed and called the original installer of the roof, multiple times. I received no response. I suspect they didn?t want to be bothered with such a small repair job. Then I started calling other companies. Few called me back. All but one that did said that they only repaired roofs that they had installed themselves. However, Avalon Building Concepts agreed to come out to see what was needed. The estimator, Jeremy, arrived on time. I showed him what I thought needed to be done. I told him I had some shingles left from the original installation that could be used for the repair. He told me that sending out a crew for such a small job would be expensive. Then he asked if I had the tools that would be required to do the work. When I told him that I did, he said that he would do the repair himself, right then. Twenty minutes later the roof was repaired. The next time I need someone to do home repair or home remodeling, I will call Avalon first.
Recent Review: It went very well we thought. Showed up on time finished the roofs in two days. Did excellent job on roofs. We love these guys. The only down side were not putting down something to cover our stuff in our loft so our storage got pretty dirty. They accidentally broke one of our flood light fixtures. The eves-trough guys did a great job, but ended up charging us an extra 150.00 over our quote. We did not like that. It took over two weeks to put up the eves. Didn't understand why they waited til they were done to tell us it would be 150.00 more. I think the eves guys were a different crew. The roof guys are good people. They did replace the light fixture they broke. We would use them again.
